Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy
Chapter 827 - 830: Nine Dragons Fiery Barrier
Nezha suddenly thought of something and said, "I managed to survive, but has the Saint really perished?"
This statement struck Wu Tian hard.
Has the Saint truly perished?
What is a Saint?
A Saint is the pinnacle existence in the Mythical World, the apex of the cosmic food chain, also known as the Heavenly Saint or Daoist Saint. They are the Great Luo Golden Immortals of Primordial Chaos.
To achieve the state of Hunyuan is to become a Saint. They rule over the cosmos, go through countless tribulations unscathed, and touch upon karma without being tainted. They exist with the heavens, coexist with the Dao.
Has such an existence truly been extinguished?
If not extinguished, where is the Saint at this moment?
Wu Tian couldn’t figure it out no matter how he tried.
"Forget it, big brother, if you can’t figure it out, don’t think about it. Hurry and take me out, I’m so bored here." Nezha requested,
By nature, she was mischievous and playful. In her younger days, she caused havoc in the East Sea, even slaying the third prince of the East Sea.
Now, being stuck in Nuwa’s Palace, she was extraordinarily bored.
"Let’s go," Wu Tian said, not bothering to say much more, as he took Nezha with him to leave.
Leaving the Heavenly Emperor’s Treasure House, they found themselves in the world of the Nine Dragon Ring. Nezha, looking at the ground filled with eggs, was dumbfounded.
Once out of the Nine Dragon Ring, Nezha breathed in the fresh air with delight, "This air is so refreshing."
Wu Tian smiled.
"Ah, a ghost," the little girl exclaimed with delight as she got out of bed and saw a somewhat ethereal apparition floating before her.
"What’s with this child seeing me and not being afraid?" Nezha was momentarily confounded.
"You mustn’t treat my daughter like an ordinary person," Wu Tian reminded her and then said to the little girl, "She is the elder sister and teacher I’ve found for you."
"Okay," Nezha nodded, looking at the little girl amiably, "Hello, my disciple."
"Hmph," the little girl immediately stood up on her bed, and the little ring on her wrist quickly enlarged to become the Qiankun Ring, "What skills do you have? Tell me, or I’ll spank you."
"..." Nezha was startled but replied sincerely, "My name is Nezha. You’ve definitely heard of me, right? Yes, I am the third son of Li Jing’s family from Chentang Pass, Nezha! I have the Fire Spear, Qiankun Ring, Wheel of Wind and Fire, Red Armillary Sash, and Golden Brick."
"Hmph, those are mine now, not yours," the little girl declared dominantly.
"Well..." Nezha was helpless but said, "Alright, then I still have the Yin Yang Sword, Nine Dragon Fire Shield, Qiankun Bow, Sky Shaking Arrow, Leopard Skin Pouch, Demon Slayer Sword, Demon Cleaving Blade, Demon Binding Rope, Monster Subduing Pestle, Embroidered Ball, Fire Wheel, and Nine Section Copper Whip."
The little girl listened in utter amazement.
Nezha chuckled. Look, can’t handle a little brat like you?
"I can call you sister, but as a master, I’d rather not," the little girl asserted firmly,
"..." Nezha was left speechless.
Wu Tian quietly watched this scene from the side, a playful smile curling at the corners of his mouth, secretly giving his daughter a thumbs-up in his heart.
Nezha’s magical treasures were numerous. They weren’t just the Fire Spear and the like.
Among them, Wu Tian believed the most powerful was the Nine Dragon Fire Shield.
This item originally belonged to Hongjun the Ancestor, who later gave the spiritual treasure away at Fenbao Rock to his second disciple, Yuan Shi Tian Zun,
who then, during the treasure distribution at Yuxu Palace, bestowed it to Taiyi Zhenren,
Taiyi Zhenren once used it to burn Lady Stone Jizi of the Jie Teachings to death within it.
Again, during the Battle of the Divine Entitlement, while breaking the Ten Ultimate Formations, he used it to burn the lord of the Blood Transformation Formation, Sun Liang Tianjun, to death.
Twice, the might of this treasure was demonstrated, after which Taiyi Zhenren passed it on to his disciple Nezha, who used the shield to kill Ma Zhong and terrify numerous foes, achieving remarkable feats.
It contained nine fire dragons, all transformed from Samadhi True Fire.
In the Mythical World, Sun Wukong couldn’t do anything against Red Boy’s Samadhi True Fire,
If Nezha, instead of sparring with Sun Wukong, used the Nine Dragon Fire Shield in a deadly fight, Sun Wukong would certainly suffer.
As seen, during Wukong’s mayhem in the Heavenly Palace,
the Heavenly Soldiers exerted themselves.
But the Heavenly Generals had a few trump cards they didn’t show,
Otherwise, Wukong wouldn’t have been able to wreak havoc in the Heavenly Palace.
Wu Tian took the little girl to eat,
Nezha tagged along. As a spirit, she didn’t need to eat, but she wanted to have a look around. Having been trapped in Nuwa’s Palace for countless years, there were too many things she hadn’t seen.
...At the same time, Master Crocodile led Master Li the Fortune Teller and Miaoshan to the courtyard entrance.
"This is the Blood Refiners Guild," Master Crocodile said,
"Hmm, knock on the door," Master Li the Fortune Teller suggested,
"Wait a moment." Suddenly, someone stopped them. It was a pangolin that hadn’t fully formed yet, unable to transform into a human, but it had already learned to speak human language.
It feared its grandfather Lao Huangpi would discover what it wanted to ask the Ancestor of Blood Refinement,
so it sent Lao Huangpi away, saying its stomach hurt, so he would wait.
In the end, the pangolin came by itself.
Just as Master Crocodile was about to knock on the door, he paused and asked puzzled, "What’s with this pangolin, why did you tell us to wait?"
"Because I have urgent matters to discuss with the Ancestor of Blood Refinement, so I need to go in first. Only after I come out can you enter," the pangolin considered its issues the most important in the world, and no matter what, other people’s matters weren’t as important as its own.
Master Crocodile was furious, how dare a not-yet-transformed pangolin act so arrogantly before him?
Where does this blind self-confidence come from?
"I am Master Crocodile, my true form is a crocodile," Master Crocodile declared, hoping to make the pangolin understand that since he had transformed, he was clearly more formidable.
"What crocodile or not? It’s none of my concern. I’ll tell you this: I’m going in first, you’ll go in next. Don’t chit-chat, crocodile? Ha, the crocodile has nothing to do with me, it’s not like it’s the ants I like to eat," the ground-crawling pangolin chuckled dismissively, slightly exasperated.
A mere crocodile, what’s there to put on airs about?
"Scram." Master Crocodile thought the pangolin was an idiot, and immediately kicked him out,
"Boom!"
The pangolin was kicked flying.
Master Crocodile approached the courtyard entrance, reaching out to knock on the door.
"Hold on." Once again, someone called him.
"You fool, do you know who I am?" Master Crocodile shouted in anger.
"I don’t care who you are, anyway, I need to go in first,"
It was Lao Huangpi who arrived. His grandson claimed to be relieving himself, but hadn’t returned, so Lao Huangpi didn’t wait anymore, thinking avenging his grandson was more important,
He ran over to the Blood Refiners Guild, intending to inquire of the Ancestor of Blood Refinement.
He could no longer wait, urgent to exact his revenge. He wasn’t willing to wait even a moment. Seeing Master Crocodile about to knock, he called him out.
"What about you now?" Master Crocodile asked coldly,
"Oh, it’s you. We met at Lady Sang Hai’s. You should know, I must avenge my grandson, it’s vital. Please let me knock first," Lao Huangpi replied confidently,
Completely forgetting that his grandson’s death was his own choice.
