Reverend Insanity : Blood Path
Chapter 57 Demon Vs Tie Clan III
Sheltered behind the Blood Wall, Yang Kang quietly recovered his primeval essence before calling out, “Members of the Tie Clan, this is a grudge between me and Chijia Village. I bear no enmity toward the Tie Clan, nor have we ever crossed paths before. Why must you force me into a fight to the death?”
“Even a rabbit will bite when cornered. Withdraw now, and I’ll pretend none of this ever happened. Otherwise, from this day onward, every Tie Clan Gu Master I encounter will die. If two come, I’ll kill them both!”
His words immediately drew a burst of laughter from the Tie Clan Gu Masters.
“Hahaha! A Blood Path scoundrel dares to threaten the Tie Clan? What a joke!”
“You stray dog, who gave you the courage to bark before the Tie Clan? You’ll soon learn the price of your arrogance.”
“The Tie Clan upholds righteousness. Hunting demonic Gu Masters is our duty. Why would we fear a mere Blood Path demon?”
“Stop wasting your breath on him. Blood Path demons have long since lost their humanity.”
“The Tie family is as arrogant as ever.” Lin Feng sat atop a distant treetop, leisurely eating freshly picked wild fruit. It was crisp, sweet, and surprisingly delicious.
He had no intention of intervening. Although Yang Kang appeared to be cornered, Lin Feng knew exactly how many trump cards had been hidden within the Blood Sea inheritance. Yang Kang was still far from being driven into a desperate situation.
“So… Yang Kang, how much longer are you going to keep your true strength hidden?”
Just as Yang Kang was about to respond, a streak of dark golden light suddenly burst from beneath the ground.
Slash!
Caught completely off guard, Yang Kang was slashed across the abdomen, leaving behind a deep, bloody gash. His aura instantly weakened.
The dark golden streak finally came to a stop. It was the Chainsaw Golden Centipede. More than a meter long and as thick as two fists, its dark golden carapace radiated a cold metallic luster, while two rows of razor-sharp silver saw teeth slowly revolved along its body, emitting a grating buzz that sent chills down one’s spine.
So the Tie Clan’s apparent frustration and taunts had merely been a diversion, all to create an opening for this hidden strike.
Bang! With a loud crash, the Blood Wall collapsed into a pool of blood.
Before Yang Kang could react, the Sawtooth Golden Centipede coiled tightly around his body, locking him in place.
Tie Ju let out a cold snort. Green light flashed beneath his feet as he shot toward Yang Kang, intending to capture the Blood Path Gu Master with his own hands. The remaining Tie Clan Gu Masters followed close behind.
Just as the Tie Clan Gu Masters were about to capture Yang Kang, the bound figure suddenly exploded into a cloud of blood.
Boom!
The violent explosion caught everyone off guard, sending dust and shattered stone flying in every direction.
“Damn it! It’s a trap!” Tie Ju’s expression darkened. “That brat actually dares to toy with us!”
Before his voice had even faded, dense crimson mist billowed across the battlefield, swallowing everything within a radius of several kilometers.
Visibility plummeted. Even support Gu worms lost most of their effectiveness within the blood mist. Unable to see one another, the Tie Clan Gu Masters immediately abandoned their pursuit and gathered together.
Yang Kang, however, moved through the blood mist as though it were an extension of his own body. Like a ghost, he drifted through the crimson haze, patiently searching for an opening. In the blink of an eye, the hunters had become the hunted.
Watching everything unfold from a distant treetop, Lin Feng casually tossed aside the fruit pit in his hand.
“I never left a clone-type Gu in the Blood Sea inheritance…” A faint smile curled across his lips. “Interesting. So he developed one himself. But that alone isn’t enough.”
Lin Feng gaze never left the battlefield. “Yang Kang… let’s see how far your Blood Path has truly progressed.”
Beneath the tree where Lin Feng sat, a young girl of thirteen or fourteen was tightly bound with hemp rope. She had delicate features, but the coarse ropes had already cut into her fair wrists, leaving deep red marks that made her appear especially pitiful.
“Waaaaah, brother, where are you? Please come and save me! Save Jing’er!” Tears streamed down the young girl’s face, leaving her eyes red and swollen. She had clearly been crying for a long time.
The girl was Yang Kang’s younger sister, Yang Le. Before this, she had remained under the protection of several Gu Masters in Xu Village. However, Lin Feng had secretly infiltrated the village, disguised himself with Blood Path and Bone Path methods, and abducted her, intending to use her as his final trump card against Yang Kang.
