Reverend Insanity : Blood Path
Chapter 75 New Future
Southern Border, Jia Family Village
Inside a secret chamber, Jia Jinsheng sat cross-legged in cultivation. The water membrane surrounding his aperture shimmered faintly, while waves rose and fell across his pale red primeval sea. Due to his cultivation of Blood Path, much of his primeval essence had already taken on a blood-red color, becoming noticeably thicker than ordinary primeval essence and carrying a faint bloody aura.
Several Gu floated above the primeval sea. One was a blood red toad that occasionally spat out droplets of blood, appearing extremely content. This was the Rank Two Blood Toad Gu worm.
Beside it floated another Blood Path Gu. Its body was translucent like amber, while a hazy blood mist churned continuously within, making its internal structure difficult to distinguish.
This was the Gu that had completely changed Jia Jinsheng’s fate, the Rank Three Blood Embryo Gu.
A thin stream moved freely through the blood-red primeval sea, sometimes flowing east and sometimes west. This was another Rank Three Gu, Blood Flow Gu. It was precisely this Gu that Jia Jinsheng had secretly used to influence the guard leader during their previous Gu battle. Relying on it, he had decisively defeated his opponent before everyone’s eyes.
The rest of his Blood Path Gu were relatively ordinary, including Blood Blade Gu and Blood Scab Gu. As for his Blade Winged Blood Bat Gu, Jia Jinsheng did not normally keep them inside his aperture.
Apart from these Blood Path Gu, several Gu belonging to other paths also floated above his primeval sea. Jia Jinsheng had intentionally purchased them to conceal the fact that he cultivated Blood Path. To outsiders, these Gu worm formed his apparent combat system and prevented others from discovering his true methods.
“It’s time to use the Relic Gu. Otherwise, catching up to Jia Fu and Jia Gui will remain nothing more than a distant dream.”
With a thought, waves surged across Jia Jinsheng’s primeval sea. A large amount of primeval essence rose and poured directly into a Red Steel Relic Gu.
The Red Steel Relic Gu immediately activated, releasing brilliant crimson radiance throughout his aperture.
Ever since Jia Jinsheng publicly revealed his Rank Two middle stage cultivation, the Jia Family clan leader had been overjoyed. In his eyes, his previously disappointing son had finally encountered a fortunate opportunity, most likely obtaining some rare Gu that had improved his aptitude and allowed his cultivation to advance rapidly.
Because of this, the old clan leader had begun providing Jia Jinsheng with far greater cultivation resources than before. Among them were two precious Red Steel Relic Gu.
The crimson radiance released by the Relic Gu grew increasingly intense until it resembled a miniature sun suspended above his primeval sea. Its light flooded the entire aperture and shone upon the surrounding aperture walls.
Under normal circumstances, Jia Jinsheng would have needed to continuously mobilize his pale red primeval essence to wash and nourish the surrounding water membrane, slowly accumulating progress until he eventually reached Rank Two upper stage. Alternatively, he could slaughter large numbers of Gu Masters and use Blood Embryo Gu to strengthen his blood-red primeval essence, greatly accelerating his cultivation.
But neither method was necessary now. The power of the Red Steel Relic Gu poured directly into his aperture walls. Under its effect, the surrounding water membrane began thickening at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Jia Jinsheng concentrated fully on the changes within his aperture. The flowing water membrane gradually condensed and hardened, transforming into a firm stone membrane. Pale ripples flickered across its surface, repeatedly brightening and fading before finally stabilizing.
At that moment, Jia Jinsheng’s cultivation successfully advanced from Rank Two middle stage to Rank Two upper stage.
However, the Red Steel Relic Gu continued releasing crimson light. The radiance filled the entire aperture, replacing the need for primeval essence as it continuously poured its power into the surrounding stone membrane.
The stone membrane absorbed everything, becoming increasingly firm and crystalline as light rippled across its surface.
This continued for nearly fifteen minutes. Eventually, the Red Steel Relic Gu exhausted all of its power. Its body gradually turned transparent before completely dissolving into the crimson radiance.
The moment it disappeared, the intense red light vanished with it, and Jia Jinsheng’s aperture returned to its usual calm.
Although his cultivation had almost reached Rank Two upper stage, the remaining power of the Red Steel Relic Gu had saved him a considerable amount of time and effort, greatly advancing his progress within the stage.
“I never expected Father to support me so generously. One Red Steel Relic Gu was enough to push me through a minor stage, and I still have another one. With these resources and Blood Embryo Gu, reaching Rank Three shouldn’t take too long.”
Jia Jinsheng sneered as he remembered the promise he had made to his father. “As for helping Jia Fu or Jia Gui in the future… hehe, they can keep dreaming.” He had already thrown that promise to the back of his mind.
Taking out the second Red Steel Relic Gu, Jia Jinsheng suddenly remembered that the merchant caravan would soon be setting out again. “I heard we’re heading toward a place called Qing Mao Mountain this time.
