Rich Parents Found Me After I Got a Tycoon System? Yeah, I'm Not Interested
Chapter 505 - 504: He Wanru Visits the Shop
Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong stopped talking as well. After all, if a professor was lecturing, students should at least show some basic respect.
The ninety-minute class wasn’t particularly long, but it wasn’t short either. Perhaps because she had been paying close attention, Yun Zijin felt like no time had passed at all before the bell rang, signaling the end of class.
Qin Sitong and Yun Zijin walked together, following the flow of the crowd as they slowly made their way downstairs.
In front of the academic building, Zero One and the others had already pulled the car around and were waiting for them.
Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong got in one after the other, and Ling Er closed the door behind them.
However, to avoid another siege by reporters, Yun Zijin specifically had Zero One leave through a different school gate. They pulled up in front of the branch store on Xinghua Street.
Thanks to the people Lu Yunque had arranged to supervise the progress and materials, the Xinghua Street shop had undergone a massive transformation in the few days since the two had last seen it.
If they hadn’t confirmed the address was correct, Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong would have thought they were at the wrong place.
"So, what do you two think? Is there anything else that needs changing?"
Mr. Zhou had been working around the clock on this shop lately.
Now that the owners had arrived, he was genuinely hoping for a few words of praise.
"It’s looking great. The progress seems smooth. It should be finished soon, right?"
The main thing was that after the renovation, it would need to air out for a while to get rid of the smells from things like formaldehyde. All of that would take time.
So, while ensuring quality, Yun Zijin still hoped the construction period could be shortened as much as possible.
"Yes, we just have some of the soft furnishings left. The entire renovation should be complete this week."
Mr. Zhou thought for a moment before giving them a rough completion date.
Hearing that it could be finished this week gave Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong a sense of relief and a clearer timeline.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK...
Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong were still asking Mr. Zhou some questions when someone suddenly knocked on the shop’s door.
Everyone turned toward the sound and saw a middle-aged man at the door who looked like a bureaucrat from head to toe. Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong exchanged a look.
’We’re just renovating a shop. We haven’t broken some cardinal rule, have we?’
"Hello, can I help you?"
Yun Zijin was the first to ask.
"Ah, yes. I’ve noticed you’ve been renovating for a while now, and I just wanted to ask what kind of shop you’re opening."
"We mainly sell milk tea. If... if you have children at home, you can come by when we open, and we’ll give you a discount."
’Free is out of the question. No matter who it is, they have to pay.’
They hadn’t started trial operations for the anti-hair loss ginger tea yet, so Qin Sitong couldn’t very well introduce it to him.
When the middle-aged man heard Qin Sitong say it was a shop that mainly sold milk tea, he grew pensive.
He probably hadn’t expected someone to open a milk tea shop on Xinghua Street. After all, the residents nearby were either over fifty or well into their seventies.
The stereotype for people of that age was that middle-aged and elderly people didn’t like to drink milk tea.
So, for daring to open a milk tea shop on Xinghua Street, one had to admit that Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong were incredibly bold.
After all, on this particular street, there were far too many eyes on them every day.
Therefore, every aspect of the shop, especially the hygiene in the work area, was of the utmost importance.
"Is there a problem?"
Seeing the middle-aged man remain silent, Yun Zijin asked again.
’Don’t tell me that after we’ve renovated half the shop, they’re going to say we can’t open here, right?’
"No, no problem. You carry on. I was just asking casually."
With that, the middle-aged man turned and left, leaving them to wonder what his motive was for coming over to ask that one question.
Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong looked at each other, and in the end, could only shrug and brush the matter aside.
After looking around the branch store for a while longer, Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong prepared to leave.
As for Qin Sitong, if she was any later, the customers waiting for Wangyou Milk Tea would start to get restless.
Yun Zijin had Zero One drop Qin Sitong off at the Wangyou Milk Tea Shop first before having him take her to Lu’s Sanatorium.
Visiting Lu’s Sanatorium every day to treat Lu Yunzhou had become a necessary part of Yun Zijin’s routine.
So, when Yun Zijin’s car arrived at Lu’s Sanatorium, the gate guard just needed a glimpse of her face before letting her through immediately.
’Are you kidding me? This is the person who can get our boss’s son back on his feet. If I dared to stop her, I’d be packing my bags and gone by tomorrow.’
Meanwhile, back at the Wangyou Milk Tea Shop, not long after Yun Zijin left, someone appeared who was a huge headache for Qin Sitong—Fu Ze’s mother, He Wanru.
"Auntie, what brings you here?"
Since she was already here, Qin Sitong couldn’t possibly kick her out. She could only brace herself and provide service.
Not wanting anyone else to suffer needlessly because of her, Qin Sitong decided to serve He Wanru herself.
"What, am I not allowed to come here?"
Although He Wanru admired Qin Sitong for starting a business on her own, the moment she remembered this was the girlfriend her son had found, she—a woman who valued matching social status—found fault with everything about Qin Sitong.
Qin Sitong knew He Wanru didn’t like her, but she didn’t let it get to her or start thinking it was because she wasn’t good enough.
If Fu Ze, caught in the middle, couldn’t balance the relationship between her and He Wanru, then Qin Sitong wasn’t dead set on being with him anyway.
But since they weren’t married yet, it wasn’t a huge problem, so Qin Sitong didn’t overthink it.
"This is a public business, so you’re welcome to come anytime. What would you like to drink?"
With that, Qin Sitong placed a menu in front of He Wanru.
He Wanru gave Qin Sitong a look of disdain but still flipped through the menu as told.
"You don’t have anything special here. I’ll just have the signature drink.
Eighty-eight yuan a cup... I suppose it should be barely drinkable."
Although the price of a Wangyou Milk Tea might be considered exorbitant for a milk tea, to He Wanru, it was incredibly cheap.
The things she usually drank cost thousands, if not tens of thousands, of yuan. Eighty-eight yuan was a pittance in comparison.
"Of course. Since it’s your first time here, it’s on me. Please wait a moment."
After speaking, Qin Sitong smiled, turned, and walked toward the preparation area.
No matter what, He Wanru was her current potential mother-in-law. Qin Sitong didn’t mind pulling a few strings and cutting the line to make a Wangyou Milk Tea for her.
As for the other customers’ drinks, the employee who was best at making Wangyou Milk Tea was handling them today.
Nowadays, Qin Sitong only stepped in to help make a few drinks when the shop got too busy.
This was also a test to train them to handle things independently.
Once the new shop’s renovations were done, Qin Sitong would be heading over to manage the branch. Her staff had to learn how to make Wangyou Milk Tea on their own and work together to resolve any sudden issues before she left.
Qin Sitong quickly prepared a cup of Wangyou Milk Tea and personally brought it over to He Wanru.
"Auntie, here is your Wangyou Milk Tea."
