Chapter 309: Chapter 308: Teaching Professor Wu a Lesson

After a while of bustling activity, the students finally finished their exams and started to come out.

They were all puzzled to see the road by the entrance lined with cans of Red Bull.

Fortunately, someone announced that it was all free for the taking. In an instant, the news spread like wildfire among the students.

While everyone was immersed in the joy of free Red Bull, Fang Chenyi was busy collecting empty cans. The number of students was considerable, and in the blink of an eye, the nearby trash cans were already overflowing.

"Huh? Bro? What are you doing?"

Just as Fang Chenyi was gleefully collecting cans, a surprised voice suddenly rang out from behind him.

He pulled his gaze away from the trash can, casually tossing a can into a large woven bag as he turned around. He saw his little sis looking at him in surprise while sipping a can of Red Bull.

Beside his little sister stood two other girls, also sipping Red Bull and staring at him. Fang Chenyi recognized one of them as his sister’s best friend, Yueyue.

The other girl, however, was a stranger. She held the Red Bull can to her lips, taking small sips with a look of disdain on her face.

He nonchalantly slung the woven bag over his shoulder and smiled at his sister.

"Finished your exam? Go wait for me in the car. Once I’m done collecting here, we’ll go out for a big meal!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the girl he didn’t recognize let out a sneer and turned to mock Fang Jinjin.

"So, Fang Jinjin, this is your brother, the scrap collector? I thought everyone said your brother was loaded? What’s the deal, were you just making it all up? Haha. Here, Fang Jinjin’s scrap-collecting brother, you can have this. Make sure you hold onto the can when you’re done, okay? It’s worth at least a dime! Haha!"

With that, she disdainfully tossed the half-finished can of Red Bull at Fang Chenyi. Then, laughing loudly, she turned to Yueyue and ordered:

"Go get me two more cans!"

Fang Chenyi couldn’t help but frown at the sight. ’How was this kid raised? She has absolutely no manners.’

But just then, Fang Jinjin marched up and gave the girl a hard shove.

"Wang Xue! Watch your mouth! So what if my brother collects scrap? Is that any of your business? Stop being so snide. I’ve been ignoring you, but don’t push it!"

Fang Chenyi was stunned by his sister’s sudden outburst.

This was the first time he’d ever seen his gentle, sweet-natured sister get physical with someone. ’She could be mischievous sometimes, but she’s never been this aggressive...’

Evidently, the girl named Wang Xue hadn’t expected the notoriously well-behaved Fang Jinjin to actually dare to lay a hand on her. ’This is outrageous! And with so many people watching, too! If I don’t put her in her place, how can I maintain my reputation?’

Wang Xue had always played the part of a wannabe gangster at school. She had spotted Fang Jinjin while getting a drink, and remembering the recent school rumors about Fang Jinjin’s incredibly rich and powerful brother, she had decided to follow her.

’But now that I’ve seen him, he turns out to be just a scrap collector. Why should I put up with her?’

’Never mind all the lackeys I have at school, my family is loaded.’

But she was on her own right now, and clearly at a disadvantage. The girl wasn’t completely brainless, though. She immediately pulled out her phone and made a call.

RING... RING... RING... The phone rang for a long time before it finally connected. Wang Xue complained irritably:

"Dad, where are you? I just finished my exam, and I’m being bullied out here."

After muttering a few more words into the phone, she hung up with a triumphant smirk. She shot a disdainful look at Fang Jinjin and her brother, then turned to glare at Yueyue, who was still standing frozen, and snapped:

"Didn’t you hear what I just said? Go get me two more cans of Red Bull, now!"

Fang Chenyi was left speechless. ’This girl is unbelievable,’ he thought. ’First, she mocks me, and now she wants to drink my free beverages? The nerve.’

’But I’m a grown man; I can’t stoop to her level. If this were some guy, I’d have sent him flying with a kick by now.’

Yueyue, hearing the order, glanced nervously at Fang Jinjin and Fang Chenyi. She started to go get the drinks, but just as she turned, Fang Jinjin grabbed her. She then glared fiercely at Wang Xue and demanded:

"You just threw a can at my brother. Now I want you to apologize to him. Right now!"

The commotion quickly drew the attention of the people nearby. Some of the parents who had been standing there from the start had heard the entire exchange clearly.

They all shot disdainful looks at the girl, Wang Xue. Just from her behavior, they knew her parents couldn’t be much better; after all, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Just then, a black Honda Accord pulled up. A man in a suit, whom many recognized, stepped out of the car.

He strode forward, shouting:

"Who’s bullying my daughter?"

Fang Chenyi was speechless when he saw who it was. ’What a coincidence.’

Meanwhile, the onlookers were muttering amongst themselves. ’No wonder,’ they thought. ’So she’s *his* daughter. That explains everything. No wonder she’s so classless.’
