Chapter 335 - 321: Feed the Sharks
Chapter 335: Chapter 321: Feed the Sharks
’As long as they aren’t locals, this will be easy. If a person or two goes missing in a foreign land, there’s nothing anyone can do.’
’He had it all figured out. He’d find an excuse to take them to "cash out," find a secluded spot, and toss them into the sea to feed the sharks. Job done.’
With this in mind, Wolz relaxed considerably, and a smile crept onto his face.
"Brother Fang, I brought him."
Fang Chenyi watched as Qi Xiaotian approached with a group of people. He nodded but didn’t say a word.
Wolz walked up to Fang Chenyi, offered a polite handshake, and then said with a wide smile:
"Well, this gentleman is certainly lucky! To win so much all at once... This is the first time since we opened that anyone has won this much from a slot machine."
As he spoke, the mustached Wolz turned to a subordinate behind him and said:
"Go get this gentleman the remaining seven million, eight hundred and thirty thousand US Dollars in chips."
Wolz didn’t have anyone inspect the slot machine, nor did he bother to check the surveillance footage.
Since he had no intention of paying out the money, it didn’t matter whether he checked or not.
Through it all, Fang Chenyi remained perfectly calm. Not only was this amount of money trivial to him, but the entire cruise ship was his to begin with. No matter how much he won, it was all just his own money.
But Qi Xiaotian and his companion didn’t see it that way; the possibility hadn’t even crossed their minds.
That’s why the two of them were ecstatic. ’Nine million US Dollars! I’ve never seen so much money in my life!’
Under the envious gazes of the crowd, two burly men in suits walked over. They carried two large trays piled high with chips—nearly eighty of them, each worth one hundred thousand US Dollars.
The hundred-thousand-dollar chip was the highest denomination in the casino and was rarely ever used. Even on the rare occasions they were, it was never more than a dozen or so at a time.
Bringing out nearly a hundred of them at once like this was completely unprecedented.
The two towering, gleaming red stacks of chips were a mesmerizing sight, and the surrounding tourists stared with unconcealed envy.
After handing the chips to Qi Xiaotian and his companion, Wolz exchanged a few more words with Fang Chenyi and then promptly left.
Of course, before leaving, he didn’t forget to have someone place an "Out of Order" sign on the winning slot machine. Even though he had no intention of paying out the prize money, he couldn’t let anyone else play on it. After all, a machine that could hit such a massive jackpot was clearly malfunctioning.
Wolz was genuinely afraid someone else might win a similar prize. ’This one person is already a big enough headache,’ he thought. ’If another one comes along, the stress will kill me.’
Just as Wolz stepped out of the casino hall, he ran right into a frantic David Rogers rushing toward him.
"You bastard! Nine million US Dollars, just like that! Wolz, you’d better give me an explanation, or I won’t hesitate to throw you into the sea to feed the sharks!"
David Rogers was practically seething with jealous rage. After all, that was nine million US Dollars!
He had gone through all the trouble of sneaking the ship out, hoping to make a million US Dollars.
But now, even his entire fortune wouldn’t be enough to cover the loss! The thought made his blood boil.
Seeing his raging boss, Wolz quickly pulled David Rogers to a secluded corner. After glancing around to make sure they were alone, he whispered:
"Boss, don’t worry. We’re not going to have to pay it."
David Rogers, who was already fuming, was about to erupt again after being pulled aside by Wolz. But hearing Wolz’s words, he swallowed his retort and asked with uncertainty:
"We don’t have to pay? What do you mean? Was it a false alarm and nobody actually won nine million US Dollars? Or did you find out the guy was cheating?"
Wolz just smiled and shook his head, indicating it was neither.
Seeing the man trying to be mysterious at a time like this, David Rogers’s anger flared. He raised his hand and smacked Wolz on the back of the head.
"Fuck! You son of a bitch, now is not the time to be coy! Spit it out!"
The slap from his boss snapped Wolz back to his senses. ’I really deserved that,’ he thought. ’Why didn’t I just hurry up and explain...’
He glanced around again to make sure no one was paying attention, then leaned in and said with a sinister smile:
"Boss, someone did win nine million, and there was no cheating. I’ve already had the chips delivered to him."
SMACK!
As soon as he said that, Wolz received another slap to the head, followed by David Rogers’s furious roar:
"Then why are you telling me we don’t have to pay! You son of a bitch, you already gave him the chips! What the hell is there to talk about!"
Still fuming, David Rogers raised his hand to strike again, but Wolz quickly blurted out an explanation:
"Boss, Boss, stop, please! What good are the chips if we don’t exchange them for cash later? There are too many tourists watching. If we refuse to cash him out, our credibility is shot. They’ll all leave immediately, and then we’ll suffer a catastrophic loss."
No longer daring to hold back, Wolz quickly laid out his entire plan. He explained that the winners were three Huaxia People and that he was already preparing to find an opportunity to make a move on them.
