Chapter 986 It’s You Who Are Surrounded by Me

Holy Fire Hall.

Capturing innate fire to sell for a good price

…

The conversation between the two above made Lin Chen frown, confirming one thing: these two were definitely not disciples of the Ten Thousand Flames Sect.

Disciples of the Ten Thousand Flames Sect wouldn’t talk about capturing innate fire to sell for a good price.

Could there be other non-Ten Thousand Flames Sect disciples entering the Holy Fire Realm? But how would the Ten Thousand Flames Sect agree to this?

Lin Chen narrowed his eyes slightly, and at this moment, two figures were descending from above the volcano’s crater.

“Search carefully, don’t let the innate fire escape.”

“B-Big brother, I can’t move.”

At the volcano’s crater, the young man was filled with fear, realizing he was bound by a terrifying power, completely unable to move.

The one he called big brother hesitated for a moment but then made a shocking decision, rushing directly towards the sky, completely disregarding his sibling.

However, before the man escaped the crater, a ray of light overtook him, causing him to groan and fall straight down, crashing heavily into the volcanic ash below, burying him entirely.

Seeing this, Cen Kuan, who was confined, felt a chill throughout his body. Not just because he was imprisoned, but also because his big brother chose to betray him in the crucial moment, leaving him cold-hearted.

“Who are you?”

Lin Chen’s figure emerged from below, looking at Cen Kuan before him: “Why are you in the Holy Fire Realm?”

Upon seeing Lin Chen coming from below, Cen Kuan felt a sense of relief in his heart. Being imprisoned, his first thought was that there was a terrifying innate fire beneath the volcano, and with the nature of innate fire, his chances of survival were zero.

When he confirmed Lin Chen was a martial artist, a glimmer of hope for survival emerged within him.

“S-Senior, we entered through the Holy Fire Realm entrance of the Ten Thousand Flames Sect.”

“Courting death.”

A chilling intent surfaced in Lin Chen’s eyes, a terrifying pressure enveloped Cen Kuan, making him tremble all over as he hurriedly said, “Senior, I’m truly not deceiving you; we indeed entered through the Holy Fire Realm entrance of the Ten Thousand Flames Sect.”

“The Holy Fire Realm is the secret realm of the Ten Thousand Flames Sect, and outsiders are not permitted. It seems you don’t intend to speak the truth.”

“Senior, every word I say is true. Because of the appearance of the Holy Fire Hall, the Ten Thousand Flames Sect opened the Holy Fire Realm to outsiders, allowing martial artists from other sects to enter.”

Hearing this, Lin Chen narrowed his eyes: “What is the Holy Fire Hall?”

“I-I’m not too clear either; I only heard others talk about it. The Holy Fire Hall was established by the ancestor of the Ten Thousand Flames Sect, and its appearance has led to the Ten Thousand Flames Sect opening the Holy Fire Realm, which was stipulated by their ancestor.”

“Can all innate martial artists enter?”

“N-No, one must have certain talent in refining fire. My big brother and I possess some talent in refining fire, hence we could enter.”

The so-called refining fire talent does not refer to those who have refined innate fire. Being able to refine innate fire indicates a high level of refining fire talent. Cen Kuan and his brother hadn’t refined innate fire but had mastered cultivation techniques that control flame with their divine souls.

As long as one knows a technique to control fire with their divine soul, they are considered to have refining fire talent.

Lin Chen hadn’t expected that in just a few days, such a change had occurred in the Holy Fire Realm.

“How did outsiders discover the Holy Fire Hall?”

“The Ten Thousand Flames Sect made it known to the public; it seems the Ten Thousand Flames Sect has a way of knowing whether the Holy Fire Hall appears or not.”

“How many people have entered in total?”

“T-This, I don’t know well; there should be thousands of people.”

Thousands of people?

Lin Chen frowned; that number wasn’t small. It wasn’t just thousands of martial artists but thousands of innate martial artists.

“Besides having requirements for refining fire talent, are there other restrictions for those entering this time?”

Upon hearing Lin Chen’s inquiry, Cen Kuan was puzzled too, wondering why this senior seemed unaware. Could it be that the senior wasn’t someone who entered after the Holy Fire Hall opened, but someone who entered before it did?

Thus, was this senior from the Ten Thousand Flames Sect?

But that can’t be right; if he were from the Ten Thousand Flames Sect, how could he not know about the Holy Fire Hall?

Despite his doubts, Cen Kuan’s mouth didn’t stop. He knew clearly what this senior was aiming for with these questions, and immediately answered honestly: “Any innate martial artist under fifty years with refining fire talent can enter. Before I came, I heard there were already over ten innate fourth realm experts inside, but more powerful ones… I wouldn’t know.”

Under fifty years with refining fire talent as innate martial artists…

Lin Chen pondered. He wasn’t the newcomer unaware of the Flame Dynasty anymore. The Flame Dynasty has twenty-four sects, ancient remnant races, and even some mysterious families. Surely there wouldn’t be a shortage of innate fourth realm martial artists under fifty, perhaps even reaching the innate fifth realm.

“What is inside the Holy Fire Hall?”

So many innate fourth realm experts entering definitely aren’t just after the innate fire or Fire Source Pearl; there must be treasures within the Holy Fire Hall attracting these people.

“This… this junior does not know. If it wasn’t for the Ten Thousand Flames Sect openly announcing it this time, I wouldn’t have known about the Holy Fire Hall.”

Cen Kuan looked troubled; he was a martial artist of the innate second realm, not from a super sect but a sub-sect. He hadn’t known about the Holy Fire Hall before.

“I heard… it seems the Holy Fire Hall holds the inheritance left by the ancestor of the Ten Thousand Flames Sect, but this is just a rumor from the outside world, and whether it’s true, I’m unsure.”
