Third Person’s POV

In the dilapidated room, Aurelia and Eleanor watched Ethan with trepidation after administering the potion to him.

Eleanor didn’t allow her emotions to show on her face, but deep inside, she was already teetering on the edge of despair.

Even she understood how far-fetched her original plan to save her son had been.

She had gambled everything on an experimental potion whose effects she couldn’t completely predict.

Ethan’s body was already in an extremely critical condition, and rather than immediately curing him, her potion had deliberately created another battlefield inside his body.

The chances of everything going according to plan were frighteningly low, likely less than five percent.

Yet Eleanor refused to allow herself to accept failure.

She simply couldn’t, not after finally reuniting with her son after eight long years.

For several minutes, nothing happened.

The two women could only watch Ethan’s unconscious body in silence, their hearts tightening with every passing moment.

But then, Aurelia’s eyes slowly widened.

The poisonous blue veins spreading across Ethan’s skin began to recede.

It happened very slowly at first.

But Little by little, the bluish hue covering his skin began fading as well.

Hope gradually replaced the fear in their eyes.

Neither woman dared to speak, afraid that even the slightest distraction might somehow interfere with the fragile change taking place before them.

The poisonous coloration continued to disappear.

The unnatural blue veins gradually faded beneath his pale skin, and his complexion slowly returned to its normal appearance.

The frightening blue tint that had spread throughout his body receded until there was no visible trace of the poison left on the surface.

After roughly half an hour, Ethan’s body had completely returned to its previous appearance.

Seeing that his condition had stabilized enough for her to examine him safely, Eleanor immediately reached out and felt his pulse.

At the same time, her soul sense spread throughout his body, carefully examining every organ, blood vessel, mana vein, and every other part of his body.

She was exceptionally cautious as she examined him, not wanting to overlook even the smallest trace of the poison after what his body had endured.

As her soul sense moved through him, the fear and nervousness on Eleanor’s face slowly shifted and was replaced by unmistakable delight.

There was no trace of poison remaining inside Ethan.

Not even the slightest residue.

Even though there were still ruptures and tears scattered throughout his internal organs and blood vessels, they were already beginning to heal on their own at an abnormal speed, far exceeding what would be expected from a normal mage or warrior.

His blood was no longer contaminated.

Even his mana veins, which had previously been on the verge of complete destruction, had stabilized.

Eleanor’s soul sense repeatedly swept through his body, almost as though she were afraid that what she was sensing might somehow be misleading her.

But every examination produced the same result.

Ethan was no longer poisoned.

Eleanor’s mind struggled to comprehend what she was sensing.

Her potion had actually worked.

And not only had it worked, but it had also worked far more perfectly than she had ever expected.

’No, there must be some other factor that I don’t know about. There is no way that potion could have worked this perfectly.

Even if it had succeeded, there should still be traces of the poison and the potion remaining inside his body. But now there is nothing.’

Her thoughts raced as she desperately tried to find a logical explanation for what had happened.

She had expected the potion to create a temporary balance within Ethan’s body, forcing the potion to fight against the poisonous substance and destroy each other, while buying enough time for his body to recover.

She had never expected it to completely eradicate the poison without leaving behind even the slightest trace.

Yet despite discovering that Ethan’s body was no longer poisoned, one question still remained unanswered.

When would he wake up?

His body had stabilized, but his consciousness remained completely dormant.

The only thing she could do now was examine his soul.

The soul was an incredibly mysterious thing, and anything related to it, such as soul injuries, soul expansion, one’s consciousness, and even the subconscious, remained difficult to explain.

There were countless mysteries surrounding the soul that even Eleanor, despite her extensive knowledge and experience, could not fully understand.

She could examine Ethan’s soul and determine whether there was some obvious problem preventing him from waking up, but interfering with it was an entirely different matter.

A careless action could potentially cause consequences far worse than simply allowing him to remain unconscious.

Just as Eleanor was hesitating over whether she should proceed with examining his soul more deeply, the door to the dilapidated room suddenly opened

Several figures entered.

Erius walked at the front, followed by Misril.

Edhan entered behind them with Reed and Pebba.

The moment Erius’s eyes landed on Ethan’s unconscious figure, a mask of disdain and annoyance appeared across his face.

Misril’s expression was more complicated.

He had witnessed enough of Ethan’s strength to recognize him as a worthy opponent, and seeing him reduced to his current condition made him feel that it was a waste for someone with such potential to end up like this.

Erius, however, had already reached his own conclusion.

"Hey, Aria, let’s go. We can’t wait any longer for this cripple."

Although Erius tried to keep his emotions under control, the rancor in his voice was impossible to hide.

Eleanor didn’t even turn around to face him.

Aurelia, however, immediately became furious.

Her eyes flashed with anger as she turned toward Erius, clearly intending to retort.

But before she could say anything, Eleanor quietly reached out and held her hand.

Aurelia looked toward her.

Eleanor gave her a subtle glare to control herself.

Aurelia clenched her fists but ultimately suppressed her anger.

Nearby, Arlene’s expression had already become cold.

She glanced toward Erius before turning her gaze toward Aria, who appeared hesitant to leave.
