Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)
Chapter 693: Telling His Story (2)
Third Person’s POV
"It was a pitch black forest teeming with demonic beasts, living flesh-eating demonic trees, a dim sky, and a glaring bloody moon hanging in the sky..."
His voice remained calm throughtout as if he was narrating someone else’s story, as he began explaining everything that had happened after his awakening.
He described the strange environment he had found himself in and the terrifying creatures that inhabited that dark forest, carefully recounting the events that he had decided could safely be revealed.
However, there were many things he deliberately left out.
He omitted every detail regarding the fate of the mysterious demon face that had appeared before him, the same existence that had ultimately been obliterated and absorbed by the Eterna Nexus after giving him much information.
Naturally, he also concealed the existence of the Eterna Nexus itself.
There were simply too many unknowns surrounding that mysterious entity for him to casually reveal its existence, even to his own family, as that would cause a possibility of others knowing about it to emerge, however small it might be.
Instead, Ethan purposely told them that the demonic face had never appeared before him again after he woke up.
It was a carefully constructed omission rather than an outright explanation, allowing him to avoid revealing something he himself still didn’t fully understand.
The two women listened silently as he continued speaking.
Their eyes gradually widened with every new detail, but neither Eleanor nor Aurelia interrupted him.
For the moment, they simply listened to Ethan’s story, absorbing everything he was willing to tell them about the mysterious place where he had spent the past ten years.
Other than that, Ethan detailed almost everything that had happened to him during those years, though there were still certain things he deliberately chose to leave vague.
For example, he did not explicitly tell them how powerful the master dragoness who had found and raised him truly was.
There was simply no reasonable way to explain it without making his story sound unbelievable.
In their understanding, existences on the level of the Ice Emperor were already the absolute pinnacle of power, with perhaps only one or two such beings existing within an entire domain of the Dark Star Continent.
Trying to explain that the person who had taken him in possessed a strength far beyond what they could imagine would only raise disbelief and doubt, along with more questions than it answered.
Ethan also didn’t go into detail about every single experience he had gone through, every dangerous encounter he had survived, or every deep connection he had forged during those years.
There was simply too much.
Even if he spent several days recounting everything from the moment he woke up in that strange world until his eventual return, he still wouldn’t be able to describe every event that had shaped him.
What he did tell them was that he had eventually found many companions among the vampire race, and that after going through countless battles together, some of them had become true life and death companions whom he could entrust his back to without hesitation.
"Somehow, due to what you might call a stroke of fortune, or perhaps a mishap, I was eventually teleported back to the Aurora Frost Mountain Range after going through a tumultuous and arduous period of fighting the demons of the central region of the Blood Veil Continent."
Ethan continued his narration with a remarkably calm expression.
There was no pride in his voice, nor any desire to exaggerate what he had experienced.
It was almost as though the things he was describing had happened to someone else rather than him.
Yet the experiences he casually spoke about were things that ninety-five percent of the mages in the world might never experience even once in their entire lives.
Battling demons in the central region of the Blood Veil Continent, forging brotherly bonds with vampires, surviving countless dangers, and eventually being teleported back to the Aurora Frost Mountain Range were all extraordinary experiences.
To Ethan, however, they had simply become part of the ten years he had lived through.
"But because I remained unconscious inside the ice for who knows how long, Princess Arlene eventually found me in the mountain..."
He continued explaining what had happened after his return.
The moment he mentioned that Prince Erius had abducted his unconscious body with the assistance of Ice Emperor City’s Grand Mage Ivan Froststar, both women were visibly shocked.
For the first time since Ethan had begun recounting his experiences, one of the major figures he mentioned was someone they were already familiar with.
And when Ethan explained what had happened afterward, their shock quickly turned into anger.
He told them about the outrageous sealing of his mana veins and how Prince Erius and his mother, Queen Shixea, had intended to use him as nothing more than a fighting dog.
Eleanor’s expression changed immediately.
Her teeth clenched so hard that they creaked, and intense anger and hatred flashed through her eyes.
"That bitch!! How dare she!! To my little boy!!"
The words burst from her mouth before she could restrain herself.
It was the first time Ethan had ever heard a curse escape from his mother’s mouth.
For a moment, he was stunned.
But rather than being bothered by her crude language, a warm feeling quietly spread through his chest.
The anger in Eleanor’s voice wasn’t directed at him.
It was anger on his behalf.
The fact that she was furious because someone had treated her son so cruelly made Ethan feel an indescribable warmth inside, as though he were slowly drowning in a vat filled with sweet honey.
After spending so many years being apart from his mother, there was something deeply comforting about having his mother become this angry simply because he had been wronged.
Aurelia was no different.
Her beautiful face was filled with disbelief as she shook in rage.
"How can a noble queen who has all the power and luxury in the world do such a despicable thing?"
