Chapter 873: Preparing for Dual Cultivation
Chapter 873: Chapter 873: Preparing for Dual Cultivation
After breakfast, Yang Cheng took Jiang Yu out.
This time, Feng Jiuge didn’t come along because she was too exhausted from last night, lacking even the strength to get up.
Yang Cheng drove with Jiang Yu to a mountain in the west of Linzhou City.
The mountain wasn’t high, but the scenery was beautiful, with fields of wildflowers in red, yellow, purple, and white, creating a colorful floral carpet on the slopes.
"So beautiful!"
Jiang Yu was astonished by the scene as she stepped out of the car, her eyes filled with delight.
"Do you like it here?"
Yang Cheng walked up beside her and asked with a smile.
"I love it! I really do!"
Jiang Yu nodded enthusiastically, bending down to sniff the flowers’ fragrance.
Yang Cheng followed her, watching her happy demeanor, and felt a sense of satisfaction rise within him.
The two played on the hillside all morning, picking a large bunch of wildflowers and weaving two wreaths, each wearing one.
"Chen, you look great with a wreath on!"
Jiang Yu laughed as she looked at the crooked wreath on Yang Cheng’s head.
"You look even better."
Yang Cheng reached out to adjust her wreath, his fingers accidentally brushing her ear, causing Jiang Yu to shiver slightly and blush.
At noon, they had lunch at a farmhouse at the foot of the mountain and then went to watch a movie.
The movie was a romance, telling the story of a couple overcoming hardships to be together.
Jiang Yu was deeply immersed, her eyes reddening, almost moved to tears several times.
Yang Cheng, sitting beside her, handed her a tissue, comforting her gently.
When the movie ended, Jiang Yu’s eyes were still red, but her lips had a faint smile.
"Chen, do you think, is there really such indestructible love?"
She suddenly asked.
Yang Cheng paused for a moment, "I believe there is."
"I believe too."
Jiang Yu nodded, a hint of determination flashing in her beautiful eyes.
In the evening, the two returned to the Jiang Family.
Yang Cheng checked Jiang Yu’s body. Her pulse was steadier than yesterday, and the Rabbit Source Qi within her showed almost no signs of agitation; her physical state was already optimal.
"Yu, your body’s almost recovered. Tonight, you can attempt dual cultivation. If everything goes well, you’ll soon be able to extract Source Energy."
Yang Cheng put away the silver needles and said seriously.
"Then I’ll go take a shower first."
Jiang Yu’s face flushed with embarrassment as she spoke shyly, then picked up a nightgown and headed to the bathroom.
Warm water enveloped her body, and Jiang Yu closed her eyes, but the image of Yang Cheng kept flashing in her mind.
His gentle eyes, warm smile, broad back, solid chest...
Her heart raced, her cheeks burning, unsure if it was due to the water temperature or the fluttering in her heart.
After bathing, Jiang Yu changed into a clean nightgown. Upon leaving the bathroom, she found that Yang Cheng was no longer inside.
Yang Cheng had also taken a shower and went to speak with Jiang Heping about the situation, explaining that they would start dual cultivation tonight.
"Mr. Yang, I entrust Xiaoyu to you."
Jiang Heping shook Yang Cheng’s hand with a solemn expression.
Seeing this, Yang Cheng felt a bit awkward but quickly assured him, "Don’t worry, Patriarch Jiang, I’ll do my best."
Afterward, he looked toward Feng Jiuge standing not far away, "Senior Sister, please guard outside and don’t let anyone disturb us."
Feng Jiuge nodded but inwardly complained that while he was having fun with another woman, she had to stand guard—wasn’t that unbecoming of a senior sister?
Then, Yang Cheng entered with a bowl of medicine, gently pushed open the door, and saw Jiang Yu sitting obediently on the bed, her cheeks rosy.
"Drink the medicine first."
He handed the bowl to Jiang Yu.
Jiang Yu took it and drank it all in one go.
The concoction was still bitter, but she didn’t frown because she knew that after drinking it, she would be closer to Yang Cheng.
Yang Cheng took the empty bowl and placed it on the table, then sat by the bed, looking at Jiang Yu, and softly asked, "Are you nervous?"
Jiang Yu nodded honestly.
"Don’t be afraid, I’ll be gentle."
Yang Cheng held her hand, his palm warm and strong.
Jiang Yu’s heart raced even faster, but she didn’t retreat; instead, she lifted her head, looking into Yang Cheng’s eyes and said earnestly, "Chen, I trust you."
Yang Cheng gazed into her clear eyes, a surge of tenderness welling up within him.
He gently caressed her cheek with his hand, his thumb brushing her soft skin, then lowered his head and kissed her lips.
Jiang Yu’s body tensed slightly but soon relaxed, closing her eyes and responding awkwardly.
Her lips were soft, with a unique youthful sweetness, like a freshly-ripe cherry, irresistibly inviting to taste.
Yang Cheng didn’t rush but instead carefully outlined the shape of her lips, gently parting her lips with his tongue and exploring within.
Jiang Yu’s heart pounded like a drum, unsure where to place her hands until she lightly grasped Yang Cheng’s lapels.
Her body trembled slightly, not from fear but from nervous anticipation.
"Relax, follow my lead."
Yang Cheng disengaged from her lips and whispered.
Jiang Yu nodded, taking a deep breath, trying to relax.
Yang Cheng kissed her again, this time not with a light touch but with a hint of dominance and aggression. His large hands roamed lightly over her body, igniting a flame wherever they passed.
Jiang Yu’s body grew increasingly warm, and soft moans escaped her lips, like a cat being stroked.
She felt Yang Cheng’s hand slip inside her collar, touching her sensitive skin, causing her body to shiver involuntarily but ultimately she restrained herself.
"Chen,"
she called softly, her voice carrying a mix of confusion and anticipation.
"Don’t be afraid, leave it to me."
Yang Cheng’s voice was deep and gentle, imbued with a calming force.
Jiang Yu closed her eyes, surrendering her entire being to Yang Cheng, allowing his large hands to roam freely over her body.
Seeing she had adjusted, Yang Cheng began to circulate True Qi, slowly channeling it into her body in preparation for the dual cultivation.
However, the infusion of True Qi stirred the Rabbit Source Qi within Jiang Yu, causing a dark red light to emanate from her body, enveloping them both.
In the next moment, Yang Cheng felt a sudden darkness before him, his consciousness seemingly dragged by an invisible force, plunging into an unfamiliar space.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in an endless field of flowers.
The sky was a clear blue, white clouds drifted leisurely, the sunlight warm and gentle. A breeze swept through, creating waves across the flower fields, and a faint floral fragrance filled the air.
A distance away, a slender woman stood with her back to him, clad in a red dress. Her dress hem fluttered gently in the wind, revealing a glimpse of fair, slender legs. Her long hair cascaded like a waterfall behind her, adorned with a pale gold headband that shimmered in the sunlight.
"Who are you?"
Yang Cheng spoke, his voice echoing through the vast flower fields.
