Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!

Chapter 1020: COME HOME

Chapter 1020: COME HOME

THIS ISN’T a matter of trust anymore.

That was Glenn’s justification for the fact that he was about to snap.

He was called the ’mad dog’ for a reason.

Although he had calmed down a long time ago, the nasty temper that he had when he was younger was starting to resurface.

I’m sorry, Princess Neoma, but your man is...

"Commander Solfrid, can we finish whatever business you have here early?" Glenn asked politely. "I don’t feel comfortable bringing my newborn baby here. Moreover, my other children are waiting for us."

Of course, he was just as worried about his wife.

I want to be there once my queen wakes up.

"Don’t worry, Your Majesty. The creature that I want to meet is already here," Commander Ruto Solfrid said calmly. "Please stay where you are and don’t make unnecessary movements."

Well, Glenn couldn’t move even if he wanted to.

He didn’t know what happened, but the air suddenly turned chilly.

And then he couldn’t move a muscle anymore.

Moreover...

HISSSSS.

The loud hiss coming from the cave was giving him the chills.

Is it a snake?

Glenn realized that he was right when he saw the snake crawling out of the cave...

... wait, is that really a snake?

Yes, it was.

A big one, at that!

As soon as Glenn realized that, he immediately pulled his sword.

But as soon as he did, the blade had suddenly broke in two.

What happened...?

"Your Majesty, the snake won’t harm us."

Oh.

It was Commander Ruto Solfrid.

I didn’t see him break my sword.

That was terrifying.

"Please look at the snake again, Your Majesty."

Glenn tried to face forward because he had seen the snake crawling out of the cave earlier.

However...

"Not there, Your Majesty," Commander Ruto Solfrid said. "Please look at your daughter’s wrist."

Glenn did...

... and he almost had a heart attack.

A small white snake was wrapped around his daughter’s wrist like a bracelet.

Glenn was tempted to pull the snake away from his baby.

He didn’t care if the snake was harmless— he still wanted it away from his daughter.

However, a miracle happened that made him stop complaining to the commander.

His beautiful daughter opened her eyes.

Glenn covered his mouth with his hands when he gasped,

My daughter has golden, ’snake eyes!’

"Let’s go, Your Majesty," Commander Ruto Solfrid said casually, obviously ignoring Glenn’s shocked. It also looked like the young commander had no intention of giving him an explanation. "The queen is waiting for us."

NEOMA already thought that talking to an older de Moonasterion princess was fun.

To be honest, she just wanted the Aether’s last remaining moments to be filled with warmth.

However, she didn’t expect that having a fun chat with an ancestor could give her a vital piece of information.

"Are you going to inherit the throne?"

"I could if I wanted to," Neoma said confidently. "But my twin brother is more competent than me as a ruler. So, I allowed him to be the emperor. Don’t worry, we get along really well."

"Does the new emperor treat you well?"

"Yes, my twin brother is good to me."

"Then you must be the twins from that prophecy."

Huh?

’Prophecy?’

It had been a while since Neoma heard that word, and now she was interested.

"Please tell me more about it, Unnie," Neoma said, pausing for a moment when she realized something important. "My twin brother and I weren’t the first pair of twins born in our lineage, though. We had Aruna and Arche de Moonasterio first."

"I haven’t heard of them."

Oh.

Neoma was slightly shocked.

If the Aether hadn’t heard those names, then...

That means this Unnie was older than Aruna and Arche de Moonasterio?

"Never mind then, Unnie," Neoma said when she recovered. "Please carry on, Unnie."

"My memory is hazy, so I can’t say that I remember everything correctly."

"It’s alright, Unnie. I need to get as many pieces of information as I need anyway."

The Aether fell silent for a moment before she spoke again.

"According to the old prophecy that I’ve heard, a pair of twins would change not only the fate of our continent but also the fate of the entire world."

Oh, heavy.

"One twin will rule the heavens while the other will rule hell."

Neoma let out a gasp. "Oh, no."

"Are you scared, my Moon Princess?" Trevor, who spoke for the first time in a long while, asked teasingly. "Are you not confident that you’d go to heaven if you died?"

"Both my twin brother and I had no right to go to heaven," Neoma said while sighing and shaking her head. "Both of us would definitely go to hell when we die."

So, who was going to rule the heavens if both Neoma and Nero were headed to hell?

That prophecy must be a fraud.

BRIGITTE smiled when she finally got hold of her daughter.

My baby is asleep— she must be tired from her little outing.

She wasn’t in her right mind after giving birth to her baby because she almost died.

In fact, she barely processed everything that had happened.

I remember my husband crying a lot, though.

When Brigitte woke up, she was already wearing a fresh set of clothes in a clean room.

But her husband wasn’t there anymore.

"I’m sorry, Your Majesty. But the king and Commander Ruto Solfrid have left the estate..."

That was what the Royal Archmage had said when she woke up.

She almost had a heart attack.

Fortunately, she didn’t have to wait long.

Both her husband and the young commander had returned just five minutes after she opened her eyes.

"My queen, I’m really sorry."

Brigitte raised her head and almost laughed when she saw Glenn kneeling in front of her, tears welling in the corner of his eyes.

How can I get mad at my husband when he’s this adorable?

"I tried to stop Commander Solfrid, but I couldn’t..."

"Explain what’s around our Selene’s wrist first, honey."

Glenn beamed, even letting out a gasp. "’Selene?’"

"Yes, honey. Our daughter will be named ’Selene,’" Brigitted said, smiling. "Isn’t it a beautiful name?"
