"MOTHER, FATHER, you’re back," Nero greeted his parents politely. "Have you been well?"
He couldn’t remember when was the last time he had seen his mother and father.
Hence, even if he didn’t want to sound sappy, he’d admit that he missed them.

Nero flinched at the awful pet name that his mother had given her.

"Of course, you can’t, Father," Nero said sternly. "It’s awkward."
His father frowned while his mother laughed while ending the hug.
Nero wanted to ask his parents if it was alright for them to leave the Spirit World and the Seedling, but he didn’t get a chance to do so when the door suddenly burst open.
And a panicked Melvin entered the room.
"Your Imperial Majesty...!"
Melvin suddenly trailed off when he noticed the former emperor and empress.
The Imperial Chamberlain immediately bowed his head and greeted the Imperial Family politely.
"That’s enough," Nero said. The formal greeting for the Imperial Family would take long, after all. "You better have a valid reason for acting like that, Melvin."
"W-We received an emergency request from House Exton, Your Imperial Majesty," Melvin reported urgently. "Duke Exton is requesting for the Royal Archmage’s presence. Apparently, there seems to be something wrong with Her Royal Majesty, Queen Brigitte’s newborn baby."
Ah.
The Hazelden Kingdom’s queen and her children were currently staying at House Exton.
They’re important guests, so we can’t let anything bad happen to them.
"Tell the Royal Archmage to hurry to House Exton, Melvin."
"Unfortunately, the Royal Archmage isn’t at the palace at the moment, sir," Melvin said. "Did you forget that Commander Solfrid ’borrowed’ the Royal Archamage yesterday?"

"Are you sure, Mother?" Nero asked worriedly. "You must be tired after spending time in the Spirit World."
"Yes, I’ll be fine," his mother assured him. "Thank you for worrying about me, dear."

"I’ll go with you, Mona," his father volunteered. "I don’t really like House Exton, so I can’t trust them to treat you well."
"I can stand up for myself, Nikolai."
"Yes, I know. That’s why I’m going with you— to stop you from going berserk."
His mother laughed while gently(?) smacking his father’s arm, and his father obviously didn’t mind.
Nero felt weird seeing his parents act like that, but he didn’t hate it.

As soon as Mona arrived at Brigitte’s chamber, she immediately realized why House Exton was suddenly thrown into chaos.
"Y-Your Majesties..."
"No need to get up, Brigitte," Mona said, speaking casually to Brigitte because it was what the queen wanted, and not because she was being rude. "Congratulations on giving birth to a healthy and beautiful baby girl."
"Thank you, Your Majesty," Brigitte said, sitting on the bed while carrying her baby in her arms. "But I’m worried about my daughter’s sudden growth spurt."
Yes, that was the problem.
The newborn baby in Brigitte’s arms looked like a one-year-old child already.
"I don’t see the problem here," Nikolai said, crossing his arms over his chest. "Neoma and Nero also grew fast. And they were bigger than normal babies when they were born."
"All de Moonasterios are like that, dear."
"But my daughter isn’t a de Moonasterio," Brigitte said, still worried. "This kind of growth spurt isn’t normal, is it? My daughter is a newborn baby, Your Majesty."
"Yes, it’s not normal. But I don’t think it’s something you should worry about too much, Brigitte," Mona assured the queen. "What did you name your child?"
"I named her ’Selene,’ Your Majesty."
"That’s a beautiful name. May I touch Selene’s hand?"
"Of course, Your Majesty."
"Thank you."
Mona looked at Selene’s angelic face.
Yes, the baby was already pretty as such a tender age.
However, that wasn’t what caught her attention.
This child’s eyes are speaking to me...
"Selene, I’m going to hold your hand," Mona said to the baby gently. When the child’s eyes smiled, only then did she hold her hand. "You may speak freely, little one."
"Speak?" Nikolai asked curiously. "That newborn baby can already speak?"
Mona just smiled, and then she closed her eyes.
And that was when she heard the angelic voice of a child in her ears.
"Your Majesty, we must raid my grandfather’s Treasury."

Mona opened her eyes.
And when she looked at the baby, Selene giggled.

As expected, this baby is not an ordinary child.
"Nikolai."
"Yes, my love?"
"Please summon Duke Exton," Mona said to her husband. "There’s something the duke needs to surrender to the Imperial Family."

"I don’t think those are mere ice statues, daughter," Glenn said, gulping hard. "I can sense a faint life force coming from them..."
