Royal Secret: I'm A Princess!
Chapter 1076: INTENSE INTRODUCTION
"MY NAME IS INARES, and I’m the Messenger sent by Lord Yohan!"
"Who’s Yohan?" Neoma asked, playing dumb. "I don’t know a Yohan~"
"I’M TALKING ABOUT LORD RUTO SOLFRID!"
"Then you should address him like that from now on. I’m so fed up with hearing you gods call Ruto by a different name."
Yes, Neoma was aware that Ruto was also Yohan.
However, she wanted people to acknowledge her man by the name that he had chosen himself.
"YOU’RE REALLY AN ANNOYING PRINCESS!"
Hmm.
Neoma actually didn’t mind getting insulted because she could dish it out.
But someone wasn’t happy about it.
"AHHH! I’M GETTING FROZEN THIS TIME! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME?!"
Yep, the insufferable ball of light had turned into a little crystal ball.
"How dare you speak that way towards my twin sister, the one and only Imperial Princess?"
Aigoo.
Nero was already awake, and the first thing the emperor did was freeze the ball of light.
And rightfully so.
"Good morning, Nero," Neoma greeted her twin brother, who had just gotten up. "Have you slept well?"
"Yes, but that loud thing disturbed my sleep," Nero said, sighing. But his face instantly lit up after looking at Neoma. "It’s nice to see your face the moment I open my eyes, though."
"You should say that kind of thing to your future wife."
"Even if I end up married in the future, I don’t think I can love anyone as much as I love you, Neoma."
"Okay, let’s drop this. Your sister complex is showing again," Neoma said, and then she turned to the ball of light when she heard the sound of a glass breaking. As expected, that thing was able to break Nero’s ice. "So, you’re here to collect the list of my official Battle Representatives, correct?"
"That’s right!" Inares, the ball of light, answered. "Once you write the names on this paper, you cannot change them anymore!"
After saying that, an old, yellow paper appeared out of thin air.
"Oops, I got it."
"Tsk."
The person who also appeared out of thin air and grabbed the paper was Trevor, causing Nero to click his tongue in annoyance.
Neoma smiled, satisfied by Trevor’s perfect timing.
"My Moon Princess doesn’t sign or draft any contract without me," Trevor explained when Inares complained, since the paper was supposed to go to Neoma. "I don’t care if it was the commander who sent you here. I’m still checking this piece of paper before Princess Neoma writes anything on this."
"JUST MAKE IT QUICK! In the meantime, I’ll go to the other team to deliver the same instructions!"
And, just like that, Inares disappeared.
Aigoo.
"My Moon Princess, I’ll check this item first," Trevor said, his body already semi-transparent. "I’ll be back once I’ve confirmed that the paper hasn’t been tampered with."
Neoma just nodded and waved Trevor goodbye.
"That Sorcerer definitely planted eyes and ears all over the Imperial Palace," Nero said, scoffing. "He always appears at the right time."
"Don’t worry about it, Nero," Neoma assured her twin brother. "Even if Trevor did that, he only cares about news concerning me."
"That’s what makes it more infuriating."
Neoma just laughed softly while patting Nero’s shoulder.
At that moment, they heard a soft knock on the door.
When the door opened, their parents came in.
"Nero, I’m glad that you’re awake," their Mama Boss said, relieved after seeing that Nero was already awake. Mama Boss immediately walked towards the bed and sat beside Nero while holding his hands. "You must be famished. I’ll ask the chef to make something easy on the stomach."
"Thank you, Mother," Nero said politely. "I’m sorry for making you worried."
Their mother just smiled and shook her head.
"We felt a strange presence, but we didn’t think it was hostile," Papa Boss commented while looking at Neoma. "Is everything alright?"
"Yes, Papa Boss," Neoma answered while nodding. "It was a divine being sent by Ruto. It’s just here to collect the list of my Battle Representatives. But Trevor checked the item first. He’ll return once he confirms that the paper isn’t tampered with."
"That punk is really useful, huh?" Papa Boss commented. "Anyway, let’s have a meal first."
***
"THANK YOU for inviting me to join your meal~"
"We did not invite you, punk. You just happened to come out when we were about to have lunch."
"Aw, don’t be so cold, Your Majesty~"
Aigoo.
Neoma was amazed at how Trevor could shamelessly bicker with Papa Boss.
But you have to be at least that shameless if you want to work with me.
"Eat first, Neoma," Nero said while looking at the paper in Neoma’s hand. "Just work after you have your meal."
"Your brother is right, Neoma," her mother said. "Work can wait."
Neoma nodded, and then she handed the paper back to Trevor, who quickly put it inside his invisible inventory. She could have put the paper in her own inventory, but documents like that should be with her Contractor. "Nothing is strange about the paper?"
"Nothing, my Moon Princess," Trevor assured her confidently. "I’ll check again after Your Imperial Highness writes the names on the paper. Then I’ll put a spell so that no one or nothing can erase or change the things you’ve written there."
Ah, Trevor was really meticulous.
And I like that about him.
"Alright," Neoma said, gently patting Trevor on the back. "Good job, Trevor."
"Ah, Neoma. Come to my office after our meal," Nero "whispered" to her after their parents banned them from talking about work at the dining table. "I have something to discuss with you."

"I’M SURE Hanna— I mean, Duchess Quinzel will tell you in person. It’s the same for Duke Jasper Hawthorne. But I thought I should tell you in advance, so you won’t be surprised later."
Neoma sipped her tea while watching Nero place two envelopes on the table between them.
"Duchess Quinzel and Duke Hawthorne submitted these documents to me," Nero said in a serious tone. "It’s their final will."
Ah.
Neoma wouldn’t say that she was surprised.
I already expected this to happen.
But that didn’t lessen the pain.
It hurts that they’re already preparing for their death.
As someone who was always prepared for the worst-case scenario, Neoma understood Hanna and Jasper Oppa’s thought process.
It still makes me sad, though.
"In case they don’t make it back, both Duchess Quinzel and Duke Hawthorne want to donate more than half of their wealth to the poor," Nero said calmly. "They also want to continue funding the school that you built with that money."
"I see. But why did they send you their last will? They’re high-ranking nobles. Their lawyers can take care of their will."
"They want the Imperial Family to manage the wealth that they’re leaving behind. To be precise, they want you to manage it, Neoma."
Ah.
Neoma smiled bitterly.
They believe that I’ll survive.
It left a bitter taste in her mouth.
"Should I approve their last will?" Nero asked carefully. "Since Duchess Quinzel and Duke Hawthorne are leaving a huge amount of money to a member of the Imperial Family, the documents require my authorization as the emperor. Having said that, I can turn them down on your behalf if you want."
Neoma fell silent for a few moments before she responded. "Let’s respect their wishes."
