Chapter 343 (2): Unfathomably Bright Future

  • Next Chapter

Clearly, Jin Haitian was not just a physical juggernaut, but also had inhumanly exceptional bodily control.

He thrust his right arm forward with all his might, and the spear tip formed by his right hand screeched through the air, piercing through the bursts of gale force before striking Chu Qiguang squarely in the palm of his hand.

A deafening explosion rang out as the ground exploded beneath Jin Haitian's feet, sending large chunks of earth and debris flying in all directions, forcing everyone to duck for cover.

The muscles all over Jin Haitian rippled violently, as if he were struggling to maintain control over his physical form, while Chu Qiguang remained as expressionless and stoic as ever. Looking at his expression alone, one could be forgiven for thinking that he was taking a stroll in the park.

Eager to pile on more pressure, Chu Qiguang immediately unleashed a sixth palm strike. This one was even more formidable than the previous one.

Jin Haitian's gaze glowed with excitement, and he let loose yet another thunderous roar as his entire frame bulged and expanded drastically. In the blink of an eye, he turned from a thin and frail servant into a hulking giant of a man standing over two meters tall.

He had abandoned all efforts at maintaining his physical disguise. He was about to go all-out. Never had an opponent this young managed to exert such mighty pressure on him, and the Jin Haitian lived for these moments of intense peril and excitement.

Chu Qiguang's sixth palm strike was so powerful that his instincts were telling him that holding back any further would result in his death.

Never had he imagined that what was supposed to be a fourth-state ant that he could easily crush with a single finger would prove to be an opponent of this caliber.

Jin Haitian's heart was pounding like a war drum, and the very real threat of death was forcing his latent potential to the fore. Perhaps I can make a breakthrough after this battle! I'm going to become even harder!

From the perspective of the spectators, the servant in the ring had just transformed into a hulking demigod.

It was like watching an instantaneous evolution from a catfish into a dragon!

Some of the spectators immediately identified him as Jin Haitian of the Cloud Midst Military Base, and they were even more incredulous at the fact that Chu Qiguang was able to hold his own.

A hint of surprise flashed through Chu Qiguang's gaze as well. An eighth tentacle had just emerged from Jin Haitian's shadow, elevating him beyond Yi Siman.

After reverting back to his true appearance, Jin Haitian's right hand bulged, and beads of blood began to seep out of his pores as he unleashed the final strike of the Storm Spear Techniques, the Sun Piercing Strike, with his bare hand.

Jin Haitian had been carefully nurtured by Zhou Junyan ever since he was a child. He took medicinal baths and pills alongside a grueling training regimen, forging a fleshly body of iron and steel.

Furthermore, his tireless training and the countless battles he had endured had honed his bodily control to a level of mastery few could ever hope to match. He enjoyed this style of physical, no-holds-barred battle above all else.

The more danger he found himself in on the battlefield, the stronger he would become, and at this moment, the immense pressure Chu Qiguang exuded had completely ignited his fighting spirit.

In the face of Chu Qiguang's sixth palm strike, he chose the most confrontational approach possible, thrusting his hand spear toward Chu Qiguang's palm. Yet another almighty boom rang out, and the earth shuddered violently beneath their feet, knocking some of the stunned spectators out of their chairs.

Inside the ring, Jin Haitian threw up a mouthful of blood as he collapsed to one knee, and his right hand hung limply by his side. He then immediately clamped his legs together as he stared up at Chu Qiguang with a bewildered expression.

He... beat the piss out of me?! Even though it was just a little, Jin Haitian had indeed pissed himself, and he hurriedly threw up another mouthful of blood onto his crotch to disguise that fact. How is he already this strong at such a young age? Is he one of the Eight Han Resurgence Generals?

Meanwhile, bursts of gale force gathered over the palm of Chu Qiguang's hand again, and he coldly asked, "Can you take another one?"

As the heat radiating from Chu Qiguang became even more intense, an astonishing thought flashed through Jin Haitian's mind. That palm strike just now still wasn't his peak?

The Huiqin Feudal Lord hurriedly stepped in, wiping the sweat from his brow as he yelled, "Stop! You've already won, Brother Chu. He's Jin Haitian, a disciple of the Spear God, Zhou Junyan. You absolutely cannot kill him!"

The final traces of the symptoms from Chu Qiguang's condition faded away as a look of realization appeared in his eyes. So he's one of the Eight Han Resurgence Generals. No wonder he was able to put up this much resistance.

However, his expression then darkened as he snapped, "What's someone like you doing posing as a servant? What if I had ended up killing you just now? I would have had all of the nine border military bases on my back!"

That was way too close! I almost killed a Han Resurgence General! That would've been a major blow to the Great Han Empire's fortunes.

Jin Haitian's complexion was turning purple from humiliation and indignation, but he couldn't find the words to rebuke Chu Qiguang.

With that declaration from the Huiqin Feudal Lord, Jin Haitian's identity was revealed to everyone, sparking a new wave of astonishment.

That's Jin Haitian of the Cloud Midst Military Base, direct disciple of Spear God Zhou Junyan? And Chu Qiguang managed to beat him to his knees with just six palm strikes at just seventeen years of age? What kind of freakish prodigy is he?!

At the same time, many of the spectators began to wonder if he was one of the Eight Han Resurgence Generals.

As a formality, the Huiqin Feudal Lord declared Chu Qiguang's victory, and everyone was left to stare at him in shock and awe.

Prior to this, they were forced to comply with Chu Qiguang for his business acumen and the fact that he had the backing of Zhong Shan'e, but none of them truly respected him. However, in the wake of this astonishing display, all of that had changed.

It was absurd to think that a single person could have so many god-given gifts at once, but that person was standing right before them.

Of course, some people were still feeling disgruntled, but no one could raise any objections to Chu Qiguang instating himself as the leader of the new trade association.

Chen Zhu could hardly believe that this was still the same Chu Qiguang from two years ago. He's so powerful at such a young age, and he's about to take control over perhaps the largest business entity in the entire empire. Where do his future limits lie?

All of the fifth-state martial artists present could sense that even though Chu Qiguang was also at the fifth state, he was on a completely different level from them.

It had become abundantly clear to everyone that, barring any major mishaps, Chu Qiguang was almost undoubtedly going to go down in the history books as one of the most influential figures since the beginning of time.
