Chapter 1244: Chapter 1244: Heading to South France

She shouldn’t be in the country anymore. Since she chose to leave, Watt felt that she wouldn’t want to see him in the short term.

And in the country, it’s too easy for the two to bump into each other.

Places like Africa and the Americas, Summer Sutton probably doesn’t like, I’ve never heard her mention them.

If she’s really going to choose a place to start over, Watt thinks Europe is the most likely.

The United Kingdom is where the Morningview Group’s headquarters are based. Although Watt is not currently back at Morningview Group, he’s actually managing the company behind the scenes, and he occasionally goes to the United Kingdom. Watt thinks that this makes it unlikely for Summer Sutton to go to the United Kingdom.

Other than the United Kingdom, there are just a few countries in Europe, which is much easier than looking blindly all over the world.

As it happens, he’s already in France. Watt decides to start the search from France.

His first target is South France.

Summer Sutton would definitely prefer not to be in crowded places right now. South France is the best choice, suitable for unwinding and sorting out emotions.

That day, he bought a ticket to South France.

...

At this moment, Summer Sutton just arrived at a small town in Provence and booked a hotel in the town.

After a simple lunch, in the afternoon, Summer Sutton rode her bike to a nearby lavender field.

In summer, Provence doesn’t get particularly hot, and the air is filled with the strong fragrance of flowers.

When she encountered beautiful scenery by the roadside, Summer Sutton would stop her bike and take photos with her camera.

Manuel Ink followed behind her, quietly watching her, unable to help but smile.

These past few days, she’s become much more relaxed, letting go of all her inner burdens, as if reborn anew.

She’s still very young, just barely in her twenties, not even twenty-three yet, in the prime of youth.

Now, she finally looks like the girl she’s supposed to be at this age.

Youthful, energetic, carefree.

Why live so exhausted when you’re so young?

He watched her intently. Summer Sutton probably noticed his gaze fall on her. She turned her face to look at him, and their eyes met. She stared at his deep eyes, slightly dazed.

"Let’s go, aren’t you going to see the sea of flowers?" Manuel Ink, with his long legs, came to her side, bypassing her and walking further ahead.

"Yes, flowers! Looking at flowers!" Summer Sutton snapped back to reality, pedaling her bike to follow him.

The stretch of road they were on was somewhat muddy and bumpy, not easy to traverse.

Summer Sutton’s bike wobbled and, several times, nearly fell over.

Manuel Ink watched her sway in front of him, wanting to reach out to support her. Summer Sutton casually waved her hand, "It’s fine, it’s fine, I’m skilled!"

Just as she finished speaking, the bike wobbled again, lost balance, and fell into the flower field beside her.

With a thud, the loud sound was distinctly clear in the quiet flower fields.

Summer Sutton seemed to have fallen hard, lying on the ground, grimacing in pain.

"Ouch, that hurts!"

Manuel Ink turned his head to look at her, couldn’t help but twitch his lips.

Walking over, he pulled her up from the ground.

"Let me carry you!" He pushed her towards the back, replacing her at the front.

Summer Sutton’s gaze lingered on his back, momentarily frozen.

"Come on." Manuel Ink glanced sideways at her, prompting her.

Summer Sutton snapped back to reality, obediently sitting behind him.
