Chapter 1250: If Not for Him, Would You Love Me?
Chapter 1250: Chapter 1250: If Not for Him, Would You Love Me?
Manuel Ink didn’t answer her question, still pulling her along inside.
Passing through the long lavender path, he finally stopped at a place on the hillside.
The night in South France, with a sky untainted by any impurities.
Standing on the slope, reaching out a hand, it felt as if moonlight could slip between fingers.
Summer Sutton didn’t understand why he brought her here, or what he intended to do.
Manuel Ink seemed slightly intoxicated, and when he looked at Summer Sutton, his dark eyes were hazy, as if covered by a thin mist.
Just by gazing at Summer Sutton, it seemed there were stars in his eyes.
This made Summer Sutton pause.
"Manuel, what’s wrong?"
Manuel Ink did not answer her. He continued to stare at her.
His gaze rested on her face, looking back and forth countless times, as if trying to imprint her in his heart.
After a long while, Summer Sutton heard his voice.
Clear, in the tranquil night on the hillside, it was somewhat intoxicating.
Summer Sutton heard him say, "Summer, if you hadn’t first met Adrian Walyon, would you have fallen for me?"
Summer Sutton was stunned by his words, not knowing how to respond for quite a while.
This question, she had actually considered before.
Manuel Ink, for any woman, was absolutely flawless.
Unconditionally being good to someone, asking for nothing in return, protecting them with all his strength in the way he believed best, regardless of looks or background.
Such a man, how could any woman refuse?
If before him, Summer Sutton had not met Adrian Walyon, Summer Sutton thought she would likely have fallen for him.
However, the reality was, when Summer Sutton met Manuel Ink, she was already married to Adrian Walyon and her heart belonged only to Adrian.
Therefore, Manuel Ink’s hypothetical question held little meaning.
Manuel Ink still gazed at her, seemingly persistent about this question.
Summer Sutton remained silent for some time after his words, lifted her face, locked eyes with him, and gave him a definitive answer, "I would, definitely!"
He is so wonderful, how could any woman not like him?
Manuel Ink’s lips curved slightly, his eyes seemed to burst into a starry sky.
Clearly, Summer Sutton’s answer satisfied him.
For Manuel Ink, just knowing this was enough.
He wasn’t losing to Adrian Walyon in any aspect, the only thing he lacked was knowing Summer Sutton sooner.
The night on the farm, with the scent of lavender rich in the wind.
Tonight seemed to have a meteor shower; during the short time they stayed on the hillside, Summer Sutton saw many falling stars.
Slashing through the sky from high above, an arc of light in the dark sky, dazzling as Manuel Ink’s gaze.
"Let’s go, head back! Didn’t you want to rest early?" Manuel Ink received the answer he sought, walking ahead out of the farm.
Summer Sutton followed behind him, watching him as she walked.
She didn’t know what impact her answer had on him.
She didn’t understand why he suddenly asked this question tonight.
The two walked one after the other, Manuel Ink seemed in good spirits, the curve of his lips still visible upon returning.
Once back at the inn, they each returned to their rooms, Summer Sutton washed up and immediately went to bed.
She had been out for several days now; she planned to prepare to return to M Country once she woke up tomorrow.
It wasn’t actually late at this point, just a bit past nine o’clock.
It’s just that the countryside was so quiet, it made one sleepy.
