Chapter 1256: Chapter 1256: Until She Wants to See Me
As soon as he appeared, the infrared alarm system set up by the Ink Family immediately started beeping.
All the Ink Family’s security guards were alerted and hurried toward the direction of Watt Bennet’s car.
Watt knew full well the dangers his current actions might bring, but he didn’t care.
Driving recklessly through the Ink Family estate, he headed straight to the main house. Once inside, he roamed around upstairs and downstairs.
However, Manuel Ink was not there.
Summer Sutton wasn’t there either.
Watt didn’t linger in the castle for long; as soon as he came out, he wanted to get in his car and drive off. But when he reached the garden, he found his car surrounded by bodyguards.
Old Master Ink stood at the front, glanced at him, with a particularly disdainful look.
"Flying a plane to come and go as you please at the Ink Family’s estate is one thing, but daring to do so with a car—what do you take our family for? Today, I want to see how you plan to get out!" the old master coldly laughed, aiming the gun in his hand at him.
The bodyguards behind him also pointed their guns at Watt Bennet in unison.
Watt squinted, his gaze slowly scanning the group.
The Ink Family seemed to deploy all their bodyguards to intercept him; there were no fewer than two or three hundred people standing before him.
With so many people continuously aiming their guns, even without any weapons, coming and going freely would be difficult for Watt.
Watt’s gaze lingered on the crowd as he pondered how to solve this situation, when Manuel Ink’s voice suddenly sounded, "What’s going on here?"
His voice, like his demeanor, was devoid of any emotion.
Clear and cool like the night breeze, with no anger detected.
Watt’s face slowly lifted, his gaze falling in Manuel’s direction.
Manuel seemed to have just returned, wearing the same clothes as he did in the morning.
He was alone; Summer Sutton was not there!
Does she not live here?
Watt’s heart slightly sank.
"Grandpa, this is between him and me," Manuel casually said to the old master, signaling all the bodyguards to lower their guns.
"Ha, as if I wanted to intervene?" Old Master Ink snorted, bored, and turned his head to go back inside.
Afterward, the bodyguards dispersed, busily going about their tasks, leaving Manuel and Watt alone on the scene.
"Where is she?" Watt asked directly.
"She doesn’t want to see you right now," Manuel did not directly answer his question.
"Just tell me where she is, I’ll wait until she wants to see me," Watt pursued his question.
"You’re not going to get an answer to that from me, you can leave!" Manuel Ink didn’t answer his question, bypassing him directly to enter the house.
Watt slightly tilted his gaze, staring in Manuel’s direction.
After Manuel entered the house, he didn’t linger at the Ink Family estate and immediately left the castle.
Actually, even though Manuel told him nothing, running into him meant Watt’s purpose in being there was achieved.
All he wanted to know was whether Summer Sutton was at the Ink Family estate, whether she was with Manuel.
It now seems that what he feared did not happen.
She wasn’t at the Ink Family estate, yet she was on the same flight as Manuel, which at least proves she is still in this city.
As long as she’s in the same city, finding her becomes much easier.
After leaving the Ink estate, Watt called his people and arranged for them to start searching that very day.
His initial plan was to spend at least two or three days locating her.
But unexpectedly, he received news about Summer Sutton that very night.
