Chapter 1262: Chapter 1262: Taking the Initiative to Find Him

Summer Sutton previously agreed to separate from Watt Bennet, and they decided not to disturb each other for nearly a year.

During this time apart, Watt had been doing well; he hadn’t contacted Summer Sutton even once.

But when Summer initially made the request, she overlooked the work aspect.

She works behind the scenes in television programs, meeting various successful individuals daily, increasing the likelihood of running into Watt!

So, should she participate in this episode or not?

Summer Sutton had just joined the company; she’s a newcomer, grateful enough to have the company take her in, especially in a foreign land.

The company assigned her a task, and Summer Sutton only has the option to comply, with no room to refuse.

Adjusting her emotions and gathering the list, Summer Sutton stayed late after work, preparing some relevant interview work concerning Watt.

The official interview was the next day.

Summer Sutton needed to interview four guests, each at different venues, one-on-one.

During the day, she first finished interviewing the other three guests, leaving Watt for the evening.

The agreed time with Watt’s assistant was seven in the evening at Watt’s hotel in M Country.

The location was somewhat far from Summer’s company; she skipped dinner after work and directly headed to Watt’s hotel.

She took the bus, which took a long time, over an hour to reach from the company.

On the bus, Summer Sutton reviewed the questions she had prepared beforehand.

Feeling a bit nervous, Summer hadn’t decided what attitude to have when facing him, having initiated the breakup.

On the way, her heart raced with nerves, and she even messed up several questions while practicing the interview.

The journey felt lengthy, and she arrived at six forty-five.

Summer Sutton followed the information from Watt’s assistant to enter the hotel; outside the room, she struggled for a long time before raising her hand to knock.

Thump! Thump!

The knocking sound resounded twice, but no one opened the door.

Uncertain of what the person inside was doing, she assumed they’re busy, and quietly waited outside the door.

After around ten minutes, she raised her hand to knock again.

But despite knocking several times, the door remained tightly shut, and no one opened it.

Summer Sutton furrowed her brow in suspicion, slowly realizing something was amiss.

What could he be busy with that he can’t open the door for so long?

Or does he not want to see her?

Summer Sutton had said they’d take some time apart, and he adhered strictly to their agreement, even though, owing to work, they should have met now; he still respected their agreement?

Summer Sutton didn’t see Watt, unsure of the situation, leaving her to guess based on her understanding.

If things were truly as she imagined, Summer Sutton should feel relieved.

But why is there a sense of disappointment?

Summer Sutton wasn’t certain about her assumptions, but since she came for work, being here already, staying a while longer to figure out the situation felt necessary for her job.

Suppressing all her emotions, Summer Sutton quietly continued to wait outside.

But after waiting for a full two hours, Watt’s room door never opened.

He hadn’t returned from outside, seeming not to be temporarily absent.
