Chapter 1267: Chapter 1267: The Past 100 Days, Thinking of You Every Day (4)

"Stay," Watt Bennet didn’t give any explanation for his earlier words, threw her three words, and turned around to enter the bathroom.

Summer Sutton stood stiffly at the doorway, looking inside through the bathroom door at him. She refused his suggestion, "Mr. Bennet and I have nothing to do with each other now. It’s not appropriate for me to stay."

Watt turned on the showerhead, paused his actions after her words, glanced at her indifferently, and casually replied, "Then Miss Sutton, you can leave!"

He asked Summer Sutton to stay, but since she disagreed, he just replied directly, suggesting that she could leave if she wanted to.

Such straightforwardness almost made Summer Sutton doubt if he was still the Adrian Walyon she once knew.

Summer Sutton never planned to stay in the first place, so as soon as Watt finished speaking, she turned and left.

When she got outside the hotel, it was pitch black, and there was nothing to see except for the streetlights.

No pedestrians, not even passing vehicles, let alone public buses.

Summer Sutton had already waited for four hours at Watt Bennet’s place tonight; waiting a few more minutes for a ride didn’t seem too bad.

Patience was never something Summer lacked. Standing alone on the road in the suburbs, she quietly waited.

But unexpectedly, after half an hour, still no cars passed by.

Cars came to the hotel to check in, but once they arrived, they didn’t leave.

It was almost two o’clock now. Even if Summer eventually got a taxi to take her back to the city, the long ride of over an hour wasn’t safe for a woman alone.

Considering safety, Summer Sutton gave up on the impulse to return tonight.

Turning around, she decided to spend the night at the hotel.

However, when she got to the front desk and asked about the rooms, she was told they were all booked.

Summer Sutton stood rigidly in front of the service desk, dumbfounded.

She suddenly realized why Watt had been so readily willing to let her leave.

He must have known all the rooms in this hotel were booked, and that it would be difficult to find a ride back to the city, right?

...

At this moment, Watt Bennet had just finished his shower. After carelessly rubbing his short hair with a towel and tossing it aside, he didn’t go to sleep. Instead, he sat on the sofa, staring at the direction of the room door.

Checking his phone for the time, he estimated that Summer Sutton would appear in a few minutes.

Sure enough, within five minutes, the sound of footsteps suddenly echoed in the hallway, followed by a quiet knocking at the door.

The knock was only twice, possibly fearing it would disturb him, she stopped after that.

Watt’s lips curled into a faint, unnoticeable smile, and he leisurely walked towards the door.

When he opened the door, Summer Sutton was standing outside, her gaze lowered lightly, seeming somewhat embarrassed.

"I couldn’t find a ride back. I didn’t see a single car, and the hotel’s rooms are all booked."

"Come in," Watt threw two words at her and turned back into the room.

Summer Sutton followed him inside, closing the door behind her.

Glancing at him, Summer felt particularly embarrassed tonight.

She was the one who said they no longer had anything to do with each other, yet in her predicament, she came back to him.

Now here she was, in a foreign country, no car, no room to book for the night, Summer truly didn’t know how she would solve this tonight.

Should she ask Manuel Ink to come pick her up?

In this country, the only person she knew was Manuel Ink.

However, in the middle of the night, between disturbing Manuel Ink and Adrian Walyon, Summer preferred to disturb Adrian Walyon.
