Chapter 1318: Chapter 1318: Always Waiting for You to Come Back
She remained silent, neither agreeing to Watt Bennet’s proposal nor rejecting it.
As long as she stays silent, Watt Bennet always assumes it’s consent.
His lips curled slightly, and suddenly his mood improved considerably.
Making a turn, he drove directly to his own place.
Summer Sutton must have agreed.
If she didn’t want to go there, she would surely open her mouth to refuse.
Upon arriving at the villa, Watt Bennet steadied the car, got out, and entered the door’s password.
The passwords for all his villas are unified, combining Summer Sutton’s lunar and solar birthdays.
A few numbers, repeatedly all related to Summer Sutton, didn’t even use his own—his world is just that simple.
"I’ve never changed the password, thinking that if you ever wanted to come back one day, you could enter anytime." He said casually while opening the door.
He spoke casually, yet it made Summer Sutton pause for a moment.
Watt Bennet stopped, turned his head to look at her who seemed lost, and his gaze suddenly deepened, "I’ve always been waiting for you to come back! I believe this day is inevitable!"
He spoke with certainty; ever since he first saw her, he knew that he and she would probably never be apart in this lifetime.
Snowflakes fell gently, landing on his nose, crystal clear, just like his gaze at the moment.
Summer Sutton stared at him for a good while, her heart throbbing slightly.
Feeling somewhat embarrassed, she turned her gaze away awkwardly and entered the house before him, "I haven’t had dinner yet, I’m starving!"
"I’ll have someone prepare and send it over once we go inside!" Watt Bennet snapped back to reality and followed her inside.
After reaching the living room, he took off his snow-soaked coat and tossed it aside. He originally planned to call his private chef to prepare some dishes that Summer Sutton liked and have them sent over, but to his surprise, Summer suddenly suggested, "Let’s have hotpot! Are there ingredients in the fridge?"
Watt Bennet was momentarily stunned, a bit surprised by her suggestion.
A snowy night is the perfect time for hotpot; with the cold weather, two people gathered around a small pot, steam rising, it’s so warm.
But Summer Sutton’s suggestion wasn’t just about the warmth; it was simply because Watt Bennet’s place felt too large, living alone was too lonely.
He probably doesn’t use the kitchen often; occasionally cooking at home can add some life.
Watt Bennet’s kitchen had everything, and the servants would periodically send things over, although Watt Bennet never used them each time.
Summer Sutton entered the kitchen, washing some seafood and vegetables, and sat at the dining table with Watt Bennet.
Having lived here before, she didn’t feel uneasy, rather she took on the air of a lady of the house.
Seeing her like this, Watt Bennet’s lips inadvertently curled up again.
"You think it’s lonely here too, don’t you?" Watching her place the chopsticks, he slowly set a trap for her.
How lonely is Watt Bennet’s place?
It practically feels uninhabited!
The villa alone spans several thousand square meters, not to mention the Rosemary Farm, designed into a villa garden by him.
Within a kilometer radius of Watt Bennet’s villa, you won’t see anyone else besides him.
"You could hire a few maids," Summer Sutton suggested to him.
"What I’m missing here is a lady of the house!" Watt Bennet quickly dismissed her suggestion.
Summer Sutton paused her action of preparing the vegetables.
"Someone I can see every morning when I wake up, someone who can come back here with me every night!" Watt Bennet added to his words.
Summer Sutton couldn’t possibly misunderstand the implication of his words, but she pretended not to hear.
