Chapter 1344: Chapter 1344: Fight for What You Want
However, after arriving in R Country and conducting surveillance near the Ink Family for nearly a week, Watt Bennet had nothing to show for it.
If Summer Sutton is not with the Ink Family, Watt really couldn’t think where else she might be.
If the person who took Summer Sutton wasn’t simply trying to stop the wedding but had another purpose, then after several days, they should’ve contacted Watt for negotiations, but each passing day brought no news.
Thinking deeply about it, Watt felt that the only possibility was that the person who took Summer Sutton was still one of the Inks.
However, he really couldn’t think of where the Ink Family might have hidden Summer Sutton.
Although Watt had been outside the Ink Family for so long, he also knew very well that if the Inks didn’t want him to find Summer Sutton, Ink Family Castle would be the least likely place for her to be.
Yet, the world is vast, and the intentions of the Inks are truly beyond his comprehension.
The Ink Family.
Since the day he returned from Bali Island, Manuel Ink had not been back to the country, and during this time, he had continued working in R Country.
In the living room, the standoff between the grandfather and grandson had already lasted for several hours.
The Old Master stood facing the floor-to-ceiling window, his back to Manuel, lightly thumping the cane in his hand, seemingly indifferent in his demeanor.
"Grandpa!" Manuel raised his voice as he called out to him.
The Old Master’s gaze fell on the garden outside, focusing solely on enjoying the Juliet roses in full bloom outside the window, as if he hadn’t heard Manuel’s words.
"Grandpa, I want to see her!" Manuel knew he was listening, and once again voiced his request.
This sentence was what he had said most over the past few days, requesting the Old Master many times but never getting a result.
The Old Master Ink gazed intently at the sea of roses outside, seemingly satisfied with the flourishing Julia Owens this month, nodded slightly before slowly turning around.
However, when his gaze shifted to Manuel Ink, it turned serious.
His expression carried a hint of disdain, as if in his eyes, Manuel Ink wasn’t as pleasing as the garden full of flowers outside.
"What are your intentions after meeting?" he asked coldly, "Planning to take her away?"
Without waiting for Manuel’s response, his voice suddenly rose, "Manuel Ink, are you stupid? Do you still not understand my intentions after all that I, your grandpa, did for you? I’m striving to help you fight for it, yet as the person involved, why aren’t you putting in more effort?"
He urged Manuel Ink to be courageous in pursuing what he loved. The men of the Ink Family possess beauty, wealth, and status; everything any woman could desire, Manuel Ink has it all. The Old Master refused to believe that if Manuel put forth effort, he couldn’t prevail over Watt Bennet!
The Old Master’s approach differed completely from Manuel’s; born a general, he didn’t understand modesty. The only thing he knew was if you wanted something, you had to seize it, leaving no room for regret.
The living room fell silent after his speech, with Manuel Ink standing quietly in front of him, his gaze as profound as an endless sea.
He seemed to be contemplating the Old Master’s words; the situation with Summer Sutton was something the Old Master hadn’t spoken about just once or twice, but this seemed to be the first time Manuel was truly listening.
The Old Master Ink didn’t continue to speak but observed his reaction quietly.
Having already said all that could be said many times over, he knew that Manuel understood the rationale; now it all depended on whether he wanted to act.
