Chapter 1360: Chapter 1460: I Just Want to Look at You
He realized he quite liked this side of Summer Sutton, the Summer Sutton who was eager to have a wedding with him.
Other than those who married with ulterior motives, he had never seen any woman so anxious to marry herself off.
Summer Sutton finalized her plan and seemed very satisfied with the date she chose, happily going upstairs to busy herself with something else.
When Watt Bennet went upstairs, she had locked herself in the study, tapping away at her laptop all alone.
Watt quietly came up behind her, glancing at her laptop.
Summer Sutton was drafting a wedding plan with detailed arrangements for the venue setup and each segment of the ceremony.
When Watt’s gaze swept over it, she was browsing through wedding dress photos.
She searched several online bridal brands and looked through the latest styles, but probably wasn’t very satisfied. So she simply closed the laptop with a snap, plopped down on the couch chair, and tapped her forehead with the pen as she started brainstorming.
From time to time, she would pull out a sheet of drawing paper and casually sketch on it.
Watt just quietly watched her like this, without interrupting.
Summer Sutton was still busy past midnight.
She wasn’t from a design background and hadn’t really dabbled in that field, but she had seen a lot of things and had a knack for it.
The design drafts were completely drawn according to her own ideas, drawing as she thought, and adjusting when dissatisfied by erasing and redoing the concepts.
Over the course of one night, a design draft had already taken shape.
It was her preferred minimalist style, with a flowing skirt full of ethereal elegance.
Stretching comfortably, she set the drawing board aside and raised her face to glance at the man watching her from nearby.
Watt was looking at her, and it was unclear how long he’d been staring, his gaze deep as ink.
Summer Sutton seemed to only just notice he was in the room, a bit surprised, "When did you come in?"
Watt had been in for quite a while but didn’t explain, he said simply, "Haven’t seen you in days, wanted to come in and look."
"Really?" Summer chuckled softly as she stood up.
Indeed, it had been many days since she and Watt had seen each other, ever since they separated at a wedding event.
If the last wedding hadn’t been disrupted, she and he would have long been a couple witnessed by the world.
Though they were already a couple after all.
Reflecting on the repeatedly disrupted weddings, Summer Sutton nestled against Watt, lightly wrapping her arms around his neck and sweet-talking, "Hubby, carry me to bed."
She rarely took the initiative, but Watt liked it when she did.
"Okay." With a single, gentle word, Watt lifted her effortlessly and carried her toward their bedroom.
Summer Sutton rested her head lightly on his chest, her slender fingers playfully twirling around his collar, "This time we didn’t invite anyone to the wedding, nothing will go wrong. What happened before won’t happen again."
"Mm." Watt responded softly.
Summer Sutton didn’t say much more, burying her face in his embrace as he carried her back to their room, comfortably closing her eyes.
They had just come off a long flight, hadn’t had a proper meal since returning, and she dove into wedding planning right away.
She must have been exhausted because, by the time Watt carried her back to the room, she had fallen asleep in his arms on the short walk there.
