Chapter 1364: Chapter 1464: My Wife Is the Best
Ryan Walyon seemed reluctant to call Watt Bennet. Once Watt’s voice was heard, a long pause followed, before he finally asked, "Have you found her?"
He was clearly worried about Summer Sutton as well. It’s been almost a month since her disappearance from the wedding. Without knowing Summer’s safety, Ryan hasn’t stopped searching for her.
Watt was momentarily stunned, seemingly not expecting that Ryan would reach out to him about this matter.
Side glancing at the direction of the master bedroom upstairs, he made no attempt to hide anything and directly acknowledged, "Found her, she’s with me now. She didn’t sleep a wink from last night till this morning, she just fell asleep now."
He was deliberately saying these things, purposefully highlighting the duration from night till morning.
It’s easy for adults to imagine what the two had been doing during that time.
The person on the other end of the phone fell silent instantly.
Though Ryan’s expression was unseen, Watt could easily imagine how dark Ryan’s face must be at that moment.
Even though Summer Sutton and Watt Bennet have been together for a long time, and they’ve done what should and shouldn’t be done, these thoughts are easily conceivable.
But hearing Watt verbally disclose such matters still felt like needles pricking Ryan Walyon’s heart.
Watt clearly wasn’t ready to let things go yet. Coldly curving his lips, he then added, "Oh right, forgot to tell you, Summer and I got married yesterday, no interruptions this time."
Knowing well of Ryan Walyon’s love for Summer Sutton, saying these things was akin to tearing Ryan’s heart apart and rubbing salt into it layer by layer.
He wanted Ryan to know, whether it was the past with Adrian Walyon or now with Watt Bennet, Summer Sutton was forever his, never Ryan’s!
This was an unspoken battle between men, from Adrian Walyon’s altercations leading to Watt Bennet currently.
Ryan Walyon’s fingertips tightened around his phone, after Watt’s words he silently paused for four to five minutes before expressionlessly stating, "I was just concerned about her safety. Since she’s been found and unharmed, that’s good. Take care of her from now on."
Advised coldly, he clicked and hung up the phone.
Watt listened to the rhythmic beeping from the other end, arrogantly lifting the corner of his lips.
As long as he’s around, Ryan Walyon will never win against him!
Upstairs, Summer Sutton’s groggy voice was heard, "Who was that?"
She seemed extremely exhausted, her voice filled with weariness.
Watt turned his head to glance at her, replying casually, "Nothing, just work-related."
"Oh." Summer Sutton yawned, supporting herself down the stairs.
She barely slept for a few hours, truly tired. But since yesterday till today, neither of them had eaten anything. Guessing that Watt wouldn’t cook anything worthwhile, Summer still got up.
"What do you want for lunch?" Droopy-eyed, she glanced at him, asking.
"Anything is fine, whatever you make is good," Watt complimented her.
Summer Sutton gave him an odd look, burying her head into the kitchen to rummage around.
Due to preparations for the wedding, the fridge was stocked with plenty.
Summer Sutton casually took out two pieces of lamb, planning to pan-fry some lamb chops to fill their stomachs.
Watt stood by the kitchen door watching her hustle, a faint smile at the corner of his lips.
His wife is really something!
Knowing his culinary skills, even with her eyes barely open, she came down to make lunch for him.
