Secret Marriage, High-Profile Pampering!
Chapter 1427: Reunion (Part 3)
Actually, no one spoke much during dinner, but for an occasion like tonight, even saying nothing was perfectly fine.
Old Master Walyon and Bryce Walyon and his wife felt the same way tonight. There was no need to say anything. Just being able to sit quietly and watch Adrian Walyon was satisfying enough for the elders.
As it approached eleven o’clock, knowing that Summer Sutton had to work the next day, Watt Bennet, feeling sorry that she wouldn’t get much sleep if she went back too late, bid farewell to the Walyons and left the restaurant.
The couple left first and got into their car.
Old Master Walyon didn’t try to stop them but was reluctant to part with Adrian so soon.
Standing at the restaurant entrance, watching Adrian get into the car, Old Master Walyon felt empty inside.
Less than a minute after Adrian’s car left, Old Master Walyon gave his driver an order, “Quietly follow the Young Master’s car, don’t disturb them, just follow so I can see him for a little longer.”
“Okay, Old Master.” The driver started the car and slowly followed Watt’s car.
Watt didn’t notice the car following behind. Initially, he noticed Old Master Walyon’s car was also behind, but since there was only one road back to the city and they all left together, he thought Old Master was going back to the Walyon Family home.
Not paying it any mind, Watt continued driving his own car.
The two cars drove one after the other, and upon entering the city, Watt’s car headed towards Scenic Garden.
Old Master Walyon’s car followed after he turned, maintaining a distance of less than fifty meters.
In the opposite direction of the two cars, a black sports car happened to be driving towards them.
As it passed, the sports car slowed down, and the person inside glanced towards Watt and Old Master Walyon’s direction.
The streetlights on this part of the road were very bright, making it easy to see the people inside the cars.
Because Summer Sutton was feeling nauseous today, Watt’s car window was still open.
The person in the black sports car slowed down, their gaze fixed on Watt’s masked profile for a while, then rigidly turned towards the back of the car where Old Master and Bryce Walyon were seated.
“Young Master, it’s Old Master and them,” exclaimed the driver beside him.
Ryan Walyon seemed not to hear, his gaze still on the direction of Watt’s car.
“Isn’t the person in the car ahead Young Master Bennet and the Young Madam? Why is Old Master Walyon’s car following Young Master Bennet?” The driver was visibly puzzled, furrowing his brows in confusion.
He didn’t know anything, just simply expressed his confusion.
Ryan Walyon slightly tilted his face as if he was pondering something.
He didn’t ask the driver to stop, and after expressing his query, the driver refocused and continued driving.
The three cars brushed past each other, and the people in the Walyon’s and Watt’s cars didn’t notice.
…
When Watt returned to Scenic Garden, it was almost midnight, and Old Master Walyon’s car stayed outside Scenic Garden watching him for a while before heading back to the Walyon Family home.
Upon returning, Ryan Walyon was sitting in the living room, seemingly just having come back as well.
Seeing the three people enter, Ryan Walyon was the first to greet them, “Grandpa, Uncle, Auntie, have you had dinner?”
“Yes, we just ate outside,” Diana Wood replied offhandedly.
“Just now?” Ryan Walyon repeated her words, seeming somewhat surprised.
By then, it was already midnight, which didn’t align with the usual habits of the Walyon Family.
Diana Wood seemed to realize the issue herself, wanting to explain but fearing that the more she said, the more it could lead to speculation.
