Chapter 174: Platinum

Kalon returned to Earth looking out of the window of his stadium bedroom.

The travel finished cleanly. His body settled back into normal human conditions within seconds. Platinum rank still felt new in his system, but the basic functions were already stable, and he was enjoying the way it felt in his body.

A notification was waiting for him.

Kalon opened the skill description.

Kalon read it twice.

A thirty second cooldown on an SSS+ earth skill was extremely strong. Most of his skills needed careful timing.

Worldforge was different. He could use it repeatedly in a real fight. Raise cover. Trap opponents. Armour himself. Break the floor under someone’s feet. It gave him direct control over the battlefield.

He closed the skill window and opened the planet list.

The Platinum rank-up had fully updated it.

Kalon stopped on the final entry.

Nihros.

S- threat.

That was higher than every other planet he had access to. Cupid and Delphinium were A+. Thalassia was A+. Nihros sat above all of them.

The main conflict was simple and dangerous.

True Names Control Reality. If that meant what it sounded like, then learning someone’s real name on that planet could give direct power over them. Binding. Commands. Possibly worse.

A world like that would punish careless speech.

It would also make seduction and information gathering completely different from anything he had done before.

The top three targets matched the threat.

True-Name Empress Kaelith.

Silence-Witch Morrin.

Unspoken Bride Ysolde.

Wait a minute... Hasn’t the system already given me the means to control this world? Through it, I can learn everybody’s true name with ease.

Kalon sat down on the rooftop wall and went through his options properly.

Cupid was the furthest he had progressed so far. He had beaten Daisy, beaten Poppy, forced a public pardon, and stopped the invasion of Veylora. That planet was not finished forever, but it was stable enough for now.

Delphinium and Thalassia were still untouched.

Nihros was new and ranked higher than both.

The correct order was clear in his head.

He would not enter an S- planet before the tournament final. That would be stupid. The final was tomorrow. Sun and Moon were waiting. Atlas had already made his offer. The entire country was watching.

If he tired himself out on Nihros tonight, he would walk into the final in a worse state for no good reason.

After the final, Thalassia and Delphinium would be his next travel locations.

He would learn what he could about those planets and complete quests to earn power.

Once his work on both planets is complete, he can then turn his attention towards the planet with the largest threat.

Kalon sighed after making his decision.

There was another Platinum change waiting in the system.

Daily travel allowance: 4 planets.

Before Platinum, he had been limited to three.

Now he could visit four in one day. That changed his planning completely. He could check Venduros, Cryos, and Veylora for maintenance, then still have one jump left for a hard target. Or he could spend all four on high-value routes if the situation demanded it.

Kalon closed the planet list.

There was one more Platinum function he had not tested yet.

Platinum Intuition.

The trait that allowed the Space Seducer System to work on humans.

He left the rooftop and walked down into the stadium residential wing. The corridors were quiet. Most competitors were already in their rooms for the night before the final. He stopped outside Thea’s door and knocked once.

Thea opened it wearing a loose sleeping shirt and shorts. Her blue eyes widened when she saw him.

"Kalon? It’s late. Is something wrong?"

"No. Can I come in?"

She stepped aside. Kalon entered, and she shut the door behind him. The room matched his own setup. Single bed. Desk. Sealed window.

Thea turned to face him.

"What is it?"

Kalon focused on her the same way he focused on Josinia or Sifa when the system was active.

The interface opened immediately.

This clearly showed Kalon just how much Thea was into him, if he couldn’t tell already.

"Kalon?" Thea frowned slightly. "You’re staring. What is it?"

He closed the screens.

"I ranked up to Platinum," he said. "The system works on humans now."

Thea’s eyes sharpened at once.

"Meaning what?"

"Meaning I can finally travel to our of space with you."

Thea stood in silence for a moment and allowed herself to process what she was hearing. Once she was done, eyes lit up like a child being given candy.

"Are you sure? Are you certain we can travel?"

Well, not just yet. I need to get you to seduction stage ten first. That shouldn’t take too long though.

Kalon responded with a nod, not willing to tell her about that yet.

"After the final tomorrow, we will start planning," he said. "We focus on our fight for now, and after that, we look ahead towards even greater things."

Thea’s eyes lit up even more.

"How dangerous is it?"

"Depends on the planet," Kalon said. "Some are stable. Some are not. You’re not going anywhere near the worst ones first. We’ll start controlled."

That answer seemed to satisfy her for now. She sat down on the edge of the bed and pushed her dark hair back over one shoulder.

"Then we win tomorrow," she said, smiling. "And I’ll show you that I can handle dangers."

Kalon found himself smiling too.

Outside, the city remained quiet under the night lights. Tomorrow was the final.

Although Kalon had full confidence in his ability to win, he was more interested in putting on a show that would make everybody go wild, just as he had done in the previous round.

Most importantly though, he had taken a large step towards a goal that he had been waiting to achieve for a while now.

He was platinum, and Thea Bluegale had been recognised by the system.
