Seeking Martial Dao in All Reborn Lives

Chapter 539: Outburst (Part 3)

‘Who on earth were these two strangers? Are there really masters of this caliber among unaffiliated Martial Artists?’

A few breaths later, when the dust settled and he saw his surroundings clearly, his breath caught in his throat.

At this moment, he was no longer in the courtyard but inside a room. The room’s furnishings were a complete mess. The tables and chairs had been pulverized into splinters by the ferocious Force. The door and windows had been blown to pieces, and even large sections of the walls had crumbled away.

The situation in the courtyard was even more extreme. The bluestone paving had been torn up, and chaos reigned as far as the eye could see. The robes of three black-clad figures were shredded, revealing their bodies beneath. Their faces were unrecognizable, as they had been reduced to a pulp of mangled flesh and bone.

Only one figure lying on the ground was still intact. He hadn’t died yet. He had a tall frame and a very ordinary face. His injuries were equally severe, but the flesh around his wounds was writhing and healing rapidly. A pair of scarlet eyes stared death at Zhao Xuanqi and at Spirit, who had landed beside him.

“So combining talismans creates a stacking effect? That’s certainly strong enough.”

Spirit surveyed the surroundings, her expression calm as she used Secret Transmission. Deep in her eyes, however, a hint of surprise was visible.

She could sense that Zhao Xuanqi’s current realm was only the peak of Refining the Internal Organs, yet he could achieve this level of destruction in a single burst.

‘And this doesn’t even seem to be his limit, since he hasn’t even used his strongest ability, the Red Heart Sect’s Golden Fire.’

‘This man just keeps surprising me.’

‘He’s far from simple. He must be a true monster of the Infinite Dao, an existence that has already achieved “Breaking Limit.” Otherwise, this would be impossible.’

‘If he doesn’t die and manages to transcend the world’s boundaries, the Upper Realm will have another terrifying monster to deal with.’

‘Then again, the more of a monster one is, the more Karmic Force they attract.’

“A Sensing Realm cultivator built up from Blood Food is indeed limited in strength. I thought this would take more effort.”

Zhao Xuanqi said lightly. He didn’t let his voice travel, instead using Primordial Qi and his control over Force to contain the sound around the two of them.

Ignoring the venomous glare of the Yin Tower Believer on the ground, he raised his foot and stomped down hard.

BOOM!!

The ground of the entire courtyard shook violently, as if struck by a heavy cannon. Half of the Sensing Realm Yin Tower Believer’s body was crushed into a bloody pulp, and the light instantly vanished from his eyes.

A strange power drifted out from the four corpses. Spirit, standing to the side, suddenly brought her fingers together and barked, “Condense!!”

The power gathered together, hovering in front of them and coalescing into a blood-red ball of Qi the size of a human head, which glowed faintly.

Blood Food Power!

“You didn’t make a move this time. How about I take seventy percent?”

Zhao Xuanqi said with a calm expression.

“Fine. Your strength is impressive. Next, we can choose prey with richer Blood Food Power.”

Spirit had no objections. This was only the beginning, and she had seen this as a test of Zhao Xuanqi’s strength. The stronger he was, the more it benefited her, so she wasn’t about to be stingy at a time like this.

With a wave of her hand, the blood-red orb in front of them split in two, and the larger portion floated before Zhao Xuanqi.

POP!!

Zhao Xuanqi reached out and pinched. The blood-red orb instantly burst apart. The Blood Food Power within it dissipated, and the stolen Power of Origin from this world returned to the heavens and earth. At the same time, the Rebirth Jade in his mind trembled as it intercepted a stream of Merit Power, and his Merit Points panel began to shudder.

“The Celestial Merit you receive isn’t actually equivalent to the world’s Power of Origin you release. It’s only a fraction. Have you ever thought about not returning this power? Or intercepting more for your own use?”

Spirit watched Zhao Xuanqi’s actions, an amused look on her face, and posed the question to him via Secret Transmission.
