[You have obtained Ulrich’s Treasure Vault of Knowledge.]

[Name: Ulrich’s Treasure Vault of Knowledge. Attributes: Saint’s Mark authority. Introduction: Ulrich’s lifetime comprehension of Light, authorized for copying by the Saint Hall before Annihilation descended. Evaluation: The knowledge of a Peak Saint, but this is not some ultimate limit of a single path. What has always limited Saints is not the path itself, but the upper limit of the Rules.]

Baiyi looked at his own Saint’s Mark, feeling somewhat emotional.

It seemed the Saint Hall had more functions than he had imagined.

Of course, it was also possible that the Tower of Soul had cut out part of the functions.

The Tower of Soul had been able to destroy the Saints of the previous epoch and had obtained even greater authority; in this epoch it could already extend its Power into reality.

This faction… was even more dangerous than he had imagined.

After taking a look, Baiyi still had no intention of touching the Holy Contract or the Blood Contract for now. These two things could not be trusted, and most of the quests on them were either invalid by now or downright outrageous, such as the ones related to the Bizarre.

He wasn’t very keen on getting involved either.

The quests he actually wanted to do were those involving resurrecting Races, or resurrecting plants.

It was just that only heaven knew whether, after he completed the rituals recorded above, he would be resurrecting some Race or helping the Tower of Soul lift certain Restrictions.

The scenery around him gradually turned illusory.

Baiyi returned to reality.

He closed his eyes and sensed the Saint’s Mark. Within it, aside from the once-every-three-years Saint Inheritance authority and Saint Hall management authority, there was now an additional knowledge-type authority.

Clearly, Ulrich was not the only Saint who had left behind knowledge.

It was just that Baiyi had yet to find the quest items.

He had to first obtain the quest items to trigger the corresponding knowledge quests.

And these items, with high probability, would have to be guided to through quests in the Blood Contract, or within Inheritances.

After thinking for a bit, Baiyi opened the Taboo Specialization selection.

[You have activated Taboo Specialization Selection ×1.]

[Please choose one of the three Specialties below.]

[Forbidden Power: Immune to Divine Power.]

Just these simple four characters made Baiyi pause for a moment.

At the very beginning of the World, this Taboo Realm did not exist; Legendary was already the limit of mortals.

When the first incomparably Powerful Legendary killed a God, that which lay above Legendary began to be called Taboo.

Taboo was a Profession that only appeared after Godslayer.

Now that a Specialty that granted immunity to the negative effects of looking directly at a God had appeared, it was also quite reasonable.

However, Baiyi had God Hunter, so this Specialty was somewhat tasteless for him.

Except…

Shouldn’t this Specialty naturally awaken together with the Forbidden Body?

Thinking it over, Baiyi more or less worked out the reason.

Alchemy’s Taboo was different from that of all other Professions. Alchemy relied on external force; its ultimate achievement was the highest Alchemy Creation, the Alchemy Giant Statue.

In other words, a normal Alchemist was unable to obtain the Power to directly face a God, so while they could have a Forbidden Body, they instead could not obtain Forbidden Power.

This option Baiyi had was essentially a bonus.

He continued reading downwards.

[Forbidden Alchemy: Comprehension rate of Alchemy Knowledge +10%. After focusing on Alchemy Creations for a certain period of time, temporarily increases comprehension rate of Alchemy Knowledge by +20%.]

Baiyi looked at the last one.

[Specialized Taboo: For the Alchemy branch with the highest Skill Level, comprehension rate of Alchemy Knowledge +50%.]

Hesitation appeared in Baiyi’s eyes.

As expected, for this Profession of Alchemy, the Specialties generally did not boost combat strength much; Spirit and comprehension rate were more important.

Between Specialized Taboo and Forbidden Alchemy, Baiyi did not know for a moment which to choose.

Right now he did not have any spare Specialties; even the backup Specialty he had kept for the Dark Side had already been used.

He could not choose two now.

However, one was for balanced development, the other for pushing a single aspect to the extreme…

[You have obtained the Taboo Specialization, Forbidden Alchemy.]

After some thought, Baiyi still chose [Forbidden Alchemy].

The reason was simple: Baiyi’s Potion Making was about to reach Sage Level, and this came at just the right time.

As for that Specialized one, once he obtained an Ordinary Specialization, he could use Crafty Merchant to swap it in.

As for how to obtain an Ordinary Specialization… Baiyi’s Growth Speed had once again surpassed the World’s recovery Speed.

Now Baiyi’s Power was enough to go Hunt Gods.

He could feel that the day when the World recovered to the point where Mighty Divine Power could enter was still far off.

In other words, the coming near-hundred-year period would all be Baiyi’s home field.

He would grow by slaying Gods; Baiyi believed he would give those Mighty Divine Powers a surprise.

He could see the path of the Great Sage not far ahead.

Star Sea Battleships, mass-produced Alchemy Giant Statues, Forbidden Level Holy Descendants.

One Powerful Alchemy Creation after another was within arm’s reach.

He calmed his mind.

Baiyi began to peruse Ulrich’s Treasure Vault of Knowledge.

What he paid special attention to was the origin of Light, as well as some applications and Effects of the Power of Light.

At their Realm, many Professions actually shared many similarities.

For example, a Mage using Earth Transformation Technique to turn a hill into a swamp.

An Alchemist of the same tier might find that hard to accomplish.

But once the Alchemist Level was higher, he could also refine corresponding Highly Poisonous substances or special Potions to turn a hill into a swamp.

Therefore, what Baiyi needed now was simply to know the analogous Effects, so that he could use Alchemy Inscriptions to apply the Power of Light and achieve the same result as a Bright Demon Warrior.

Once this kind of result could be realized, Baiyi could then optimize this thing, eventually turning it into an even more efficient Alchemy Creation for Alchemists.
