30- revealing the truth

Yassin stood in place, unmistakable surprise on his face.

“They’re back...?”

Bahaa looked at him.

“So... you know them.”

Yassin’s expression became serious.

“What did they tell you? And what are they trying to do this time?”

Wail interrupted him before he could continue.

“Wait.”

He took a step forward until he stood directly before Yassin.

Bahaa said,

Wail replied without hesitation,

“Tell us what happened with them.”

“Who are they? And what do they want?”

“And in return... we’ll tell you everything they said to us.”

He raised his eyes to Yassin.

He stepped closer.

He took a deep breath.

Then he gave a faint smile.

“And I was also sure... you wouldn’t lie to me.”

He lowered his head slightly.

“Looks like they only told me part of the truth.”

A faint smile appeared on Yassin’s face.

Then he turned around.

“Stay here.”

Bahaa looked at him.

“Where are you going?”

Yassin answered without turning around.

“To finish this matter.”

Wail took a step forward.

“I’m coming with you.”

Yassin shook his head.

“No... They were my students... and I’m responsible for the path they chose.”

Wail did not look convinced.

Yassin noticed this and laughed.

“What’s wrong?”

He turned toward him with a smile.

“Have you started doubting your teacher’s strength?”

Then he added jokingly,

“You have another thousand years before you can even think about defeating me.”

Wail finally laughed.

“You’re right...”

He looked at Yassin’s back as he stood firmly, his robe moving in the wind.

“...You’re the strongest.”

Yassin smiled and said one last thing:"I'll be back soon...and tell you more about me."

Then vanished in a golden flash.

Silence filled the place as the three of them stared at the place where he had disappeared.

After a few moments, Elyes stepped toward Wail.

“I’m sorry for what I did earlier.”

He sighed.

“Looks like you were right.”

Wail smiled.

“No need to apologize.”

He added,

“If I were in your place... I would have done the same.”

Bahaa crossed his arms as he looked toward the horizon.

“I don’t like this.”

He turned toward them.

“I think we should follow him... even if it’s only to keep an eye on the situation.”

Wail slowly nodded.

“I know Yassin can’t lose...”

His gaze fixed on the dark horizon.

“But this time, I feel like something is gonna happen...”
