Chapter 205: Fairy Arrives
"H-His Royal Highness... Crown Prince Lucius of the Solathane Dynasty... has arrived!"
The words silenced the whole plaza.
From the central archway, a figure stepped into the golden sunlight.
Crown Prince Lucius, he wore robes of imperial white trimmed with threads of gold embroidery.
His handsome features, framed by perfect dark hair, were illuminated by a charming smile that captured the attention of many young females instantly.
Behind him, three figures walked in perfect formation.
Two man, and one woman. They wore identical, unadorned robes of grey, their faces completely devoid of emotion.
Three Domain Master Realm powerhouses.
Outside the Academy gates, the millions of ordinary citizens and wandering cultivators staring at the towering projection arrays were thrown into a frenzy.
"Is that him? The Crown Prince? He... he is so handsome!"
"Look at those guards! Three Domain Masters acting as mere bodyguards... the sheer ridiculousness of the royal family’s power!"
"I heard he is only twenty-seven and already at the seventh level of the Core Formation Realm. To be that handsome, that powerful, and the future Emperor... If I could just spend a single night in his chambers... if I could just bear his child! I wouldn’t care if I was only a concubine. If I could give him a baby, my entire bloodline would soar into the heavens!"
"Did you see the way he smiles! Oh my God, he’s looking this way!"
Fervent whispers and swooning sighs rippled through the female crowd, their previous anticipation for the Heavenly Physique completely eclipsed by the arrival of the ultimate bachelor of the Solathane Dynasty.
The reverence was absolute.
"Rhain! Rhain, look at him" Neve whispered beside Rhain, "He’s so handsome, isn’t he?It’s said that the Crown Prince Lucius is the most brilliant star of his generation."
Rhain didn’t respond to her rambling.
His dark grey eyes were locked onto the smiling Crown Prince.
Normally, when Rhain looked at a Core Formation Realm expert—even those at the peak ninth level like Zobek—he felt absolutely nothing.
With his Abyssal Sovereign Physique and his heaven-defying Soul Power, ordinary Core Formation cultivators were little more than walking corpses waiting to be punched.
But something about Lucius’s spiritual signature felt subtly wrong to Rhain’s vast perception.
The essence flowing through Lucius’s meridians was large, yes, but it was incredibly chaotic.
It wasn’t the pure, tempered energy of a man who had cultivated step-by-step through grueling hardship.
It felt as if multiple sources of essence had been forcefully poured onto a single foundation.
"So that is the Crown Prince,’ Rhain thought, his gaze analyzing the man who had requested a meeting with him just the night before. ’A charming facade to mask his secrets. He is hiding it perfectly, but it cannot be hidden from my Eyes of Truth, and Abyssal Sovereign Physique!"
Lucius walked up the steps of the grand stage.
The Patriarchs, Matriarch Seraphine, and every high-ranking elder on the stage immediately bowed deeply.
The hundred thousand guests rose to their feet in a wave of respectful acknowledgment.
Even the Domain Masters inclined their heads fractionally in recognition of the royal power.
"We greet His Royal Highness!" their voices echoed in unison.
Only Dean Carmilla, and the head of three families didn’t bow their heads, though they still offered polite nods.
Lucius stopped before them, placing his right hand over his heart, and offered a respectful bow.
"Dean Carmilla," Lucius spoke, his voice carrying a natural magnetism. "It has been far too long. I bring the warmest regards of my royal father, the Emperor. To witness the unveiling of a True Heavenly Physique within your esteemed academy is a historic honor I could not possibly miss."
Carmilla returned a graceful nod, though her bright eyes remained sharply observant.
"Your Highness graces Stormveil City with your presence," Carmilla replied politely. "Academy is deeply honored that the Crown Prince would make such a long journey for our sake."
Lucius chuckled lightly, tilting his attention to the titans of Stormveil City’s noble families.
His amber eyes landed first on Matriarch Seraphine.
"Matriarch Seraphine," Lucius bowed his head fractionally, "Our royal court still speaks highly of your unmatched talent."
"Your Highness flatters me," Seraphine replied briefly, inclining her head.
She wasn’t very fond of Lucius for she had heard of his romantic affairs with many other women, and now even coveting her own daughter.
Lucius’s gaze drifted to the breathtaking crimson-haired girl standing behind her. "And Lady Lyra. I see that you have grown even more radiant since our last meeting at the capital. The entire dynasty awaits the day you grace the royal courts with your presence more permanently."
The implication was clear to everyone within earshot.
Crown Prince Lucius had long expressed interest in Lyra Emberford. Whether it was genuine affection or political calculation or both remained a subject of endless debate among the city’s gossips.
Lyra met his gaze without a trace of shyness, her crimson eyes calm. "Your Highness is too kind," she replied politely, "I fear the royal courts would find me far too boring."
Lucius’s smile didn’t waver for even a heartbeat. He offered another charming incline of his head before moving toward the Valemere, and Thunderwood section.
"Patriarch Caelan. Patriarch Thorian," Lucius greeted, his tone carrying the perfect amount of respect for the regional overlords. "The eastern territories continue to flourish under your watchful eyes. The Royal Court is deeply appreciative of your families’ unwavering loyalty and contributions."
Caelan offered a polite smile.
"Your Highness honors us with your presence. Valemere Family remains ever loyal to the Crown."
"Your Highness," Thorian also gave a measured nod, "Welcome back to our city."
Lucius gracefully walked past the dignitaries and took his seat on the throne prepared specifically for him.
He rested his chin lightly on his knuckles, his amber eyes sweeping across the empty seats beside Dean Carmilla.
"I must admit, the suspense is quite thrilling," Lucius remarked, his tone light, playful, "I have traveled across the entire dynasty, yet my heart beats with the eager anticipation of a young man. When shall we have the honor of meeting this peerless fairy?"
Lucius had merely voiced the burning question that was in the minds of over a hundred thousand guests.
The three great Noble Families were seated.
The High Preceptors were present.
The Crown Prince himself was waiting.
Every single dignitary, patriarch, and overlord had arrived.
Yet, the true star of the show remained entirely hidden.
"She is making the Crown Prince and the Dean wait...?"
"I can’t take the suspense anymore. My heart is beating out of my chest!"
"I think that she might not really be a Heavenly Physique, that’s why she hasn’t appeared yet!"
Just as the whispers threatened to swell into a deafening roar.
A biting chill swept through the sunlit arena.
"Look up!" someone screamed.
High above them, the clouds swirling beneath the Core Palace’s floating islands parted.
Swoosh—!
Two streaks of blue light shot out from the heavens and descended gracefully toward the grand stage.
Millions of eyes, both inside the Academy and watching through the projection arrays across Stormveil City, locked onto the descending lights.
The lights touched down elegantly upon the center of the elevated platform, revealing the beautiful figure of Vice Dean Myrielle.
But no one was looking at her right now.
Because standing right beside Myrielle was a vision that seemed like a celestial being stepping into the mortal world.
She wore elegant, flowing blue robes, her magnificent silver-blue hair hair flowed freely behind her, stirred by the gentle currents, while her pale purple eyes held a serene, and deep like frozen pool.
After her True Awakening, her otherworldly beauty had reached a level that seemed to transcend the mortal realm entirely.
The translucent mist of Heavenly Glacial Essence that naturally surrounded her figure made her appear less like a mortal girl and more like an ice goddess who had wandered into the human realm by mistake.
Every pair of eyes stared at her with unblinking eyes, as if their minds had been enchanted.
