Chapter 321: Leaving For The Royal Capital
Rhain’s dark grey eyes swept over Vulcan and the fourteen Domain Masters standing respectfully in the hall.
"Vulcan," Rhain spoke, his voice echoing clearly in the quiet room. "Your essence reserves have already reached the peak of the Half-Step Domain Master Realm. Yet, you remain entirely unable to cross the threshold and form a Domain because of your lack of understanding of the world’s laws."
Vulcan lowered his head in shame. "Yes master."
Rhain’s gaze shifted to the fourteen Domain Masters.
"And the same applies to all of you. Many of you have also been stuck at the early and middle stages of the Domain Master Realm for decades because of this exact reason."
The fourteen Domain Masters also nodded their heads.
"Vulcan," Rhain commanded. "Tell me your understanding of the Law of Fist."
Vulcan took a deep breath, his scarred face turning serious.
"Master, to me, the Law of Fist is about destruction," Vulcan answered earnestly. "It is the convergence of power. A force that shatters mountains, breaks through all defenses, and crushes everything that stands in its path."
Rhain simply shook his head.
"Wrong," Rhain stated ruthlessly. "If the Law of Fist was merely about blunt destruction, a heavy hammer would suffice. Why use a fist at all?"
Vulcan flinched, his eyes widening in shock.
Rhain continued his lecture, drawing upon the vast, unfathomable knowledge he had meticulously assimilated from the restricted top floor of the Valdris Royal Academy’s grand library.
"The true essence of the Law of Fist is not destruction. It is ’Intent’. The unwavering conviction that your body is a universe unto itself. When you throw a punch, you are projecting your own inner will to shatter the heavens when no weapon is in hand."
Rhain’s voice resonated through the grand hall like the tolling of an ancient bell.
"A fist that only seeks to destroy will inevitably shatter against a stronger force. But a fist guided by unyielding Intent cannot be broken, because it is not limited by the existence of the obstacle."
BOOM—!!!
An invisible tremor shook Vulcan’s massive frame.
For decades, he had swung his fists, relying solely on raw power and brutality.
But Rhain’s words were like a blinding flash of lightning that instantly tore through the dense fog clouding his spiritual sea.
"Intent... So it’s all about intent..." Vulcan muttered.
As he spoke, a sudden, sharp fluctuation of spiritual energy erupted from Vulcan’s body.
The surrounding essence in the grand hall aggressively swirled toward him, funneled directly into his suddenly expanding spiritual sea!
He had broken his bottleneck!
The fourteen Domain Masters sucked in a sharp breath of cold air, staring at Vulcan with eyes full of horror and envy.
Just a few sentences! Grandmaster Korryn had casually spoken a few sentences, and it had instantly allowed a Half-Step Domain Master to glimpse the true threshold of a Domain!
"I... I understand!" Vulcan finally spoke, his eyes looking at Rhain with gratitude. "Thank you, Master! Thank you!"
Seeing Vulcan’s immediate enlightenment, the other fourteen Domain Masters could not hold back their desperation.
"Master!" Skullcrusher stepped forward frantically. "Please, guide my Law of Iron!"
"Master, my Law of Blood!" Bloodfiend pleaded.
Rhain did not refuse them.
One by one, he asked them to state their comprehensions.
And one by one, he ruthlessly dismantled their flawed theories, replacing them with the profound truths of the true law.
For the next few hours, the main hall of the Celestial Elixir Pavilion was transformed into a sacred enlightenment ground.
Auras surged, and the combat strength of Rhain’s entire faction began to undergo a qualitative leap without even any visible changes in their realms.
---------------------
The remaining days passed in Rhain’s relentless preparation.
Rhain maintained a precise schedule.
Whenever he wasn’t teaching Vulcan and his Domain Master slaves, he was secluded within his inner chamber, sitting before the Emperor-Grade Purple Moon Mystic Furnace.
He practiced his alchemy day and night.
The upcoming duel was not against an ordinary alchemist.
It was against an eight-hundred-year-old monster who had access to the supreme inheritances of the Royal Family.
Rhain knew perfectly well that sheer talent alone was not enough to bridge an eight-century gap in experience.
He needed to push his refinement speed, temperature control, and essence manipulation to the infallible peak.
Pop! Pop!
In between refinements, Rhain continuously popped corks off exquisite jade bottles, swallowing handfuls of Mystic grade soul-nourishing pills.
The pills dissolved into pure spritual energy, fiercely expanding his already vast, ocean-like spiritual sea.
And when he was tired of both of these gruelling tasks, he would spend some quiet warm evenings in the courtyard with Seris.
They would sit together under the silver moonlight, her delicate head resting comfortably against his chest.
Those fleeting moments of tranquility were the only times Rhain allowed the chilling sense of urgency to completely fade away, leaving only the gentle affection of a husband.
Time flowed relentlessly.
Finally, the time had run out.
It was only two days left before the fateful day decided for the Alchemy duel by the Royal Court.
The entire Solathane Dynasty was in a frenzy, with millions of cultivators flocking toward the capital to witness the unprecedented clash.
Inside Rhain’s secluded guest pavilion, the atmosphere was tense.
Seris, Liana, Lyra, and Elara had all gathered in the courtyard.
They all knew exactly what was about to happen.
This was perhaps the greatest, most perilous battle Rhain was going to fight.
There were no swords or domains allowed in this duel, yet the stakes were infinitely higher than ever before.
His life, the survival of the Celestial Elixir Pavilion, the even the future of the Valdris Royal Academy were all resting entirely on his shoulders.
If he lost, the executioner’s blade of the Solathane Emperor would fall without mercy.
Seris stepped forward, her pale purple eyes shimmering with unshed tears.
She reached out, gently adjusting the collar of his dark robes, her delicate hands lingering against his chest.
"Husband..." Seris whispered, her voice trembling slightly. "Please... you must win."
Rhain looked down at her beautiful, anxious face.
He raised his hand, gently brushing a strand of silver-blue hair behind her ear.
"Don’t worry too much about me," Rhain smiled warmly, his tone carrying an unshakeable, soothing confidence. "I have never fought a battle I intended to lose. Just wait for me here."
Liana stood a few paces away, her emerald eyes filled with deep worry. "We will be watching the projection arrays, Rhain. You must be very careful there. The Royal Court is filled with venomous snakes. They will not play fair."
Elara offered a graceful, deeply respectful bow. "May the gods favor you, young master Rhain. My prayers will be with you."
Even Lyra, who stood with her arms firmly crossed beneath her chest, couldn’t completely hide the complex emotions swirling in her crimson eyes.
"You better not die to that old geezer, that would be very embarassing."
Rhain simply let out an amused chuckle.
After saying his final goodbyes and comforting Seris one last time, Rhain turned and walked out of the courtyard.
The four girls watched his back until he disappeared from their line of sight.
