Chapter 1001: Yun Clan’s Arrives

The truth the Immortal Star Emperor, Xing Xieju, had learned made him understand a lot of things that he chose to ignore before. Why did the current Moon Goddess look at him like a stranger? Why would she always mention her name to him? That she isn’t Yue Xuehua, she is Yue Xuexia. At that time, he thought that the Moon Goddess just wanted to forget about everything in the past and focused on the present because this is her new life. Who would have thought that Yue Xuexia and Yue Xuehua were two different people from the beginning? It was just him who didn’t understand it right away. No wonder the Immortal Sun Emperor would sometimes stare at him like a blind fool. It seems that he is truly blind.

The Immortal Star Emperor thought of something and mumbles, "The rumors that Hua’er is back. Does this mean she has really come back to life?"

Nonchalantly coughing from the backlash of seeing through the timeline different from the current one, blood strolls down at the corner of his lips. This time he had watched someone’s whole past and the punishment for that is for the current realm to regress one minor level. From Late stage Emperor realm, he regressed to Mid stage Emperor realm though this seems to be nothing, for emperor realm cultivators minor level strictly affects their overall strength. There is also a fact that it was hard to increase your cultivation level in the Emperor realm. However, the Immortal Star Emperor, Xing Xieju didn’t care much. After all, the number of Emperor realm cultivators in the Immortal World isn’t that many.

After the death of the former Immortal Sun Emperor and the Moon Empress, the hidden old monsters at Tribulation realm had stepped in and forbid the Emperor realm cultivators from killing one another. The last time a few emperors had died, they had almost lost ownership of this cosmos. They had simply lost too much Cosmic War and outsider gods almost invaded their cosmos. Due to this, the seniors prevent killing among the Emperor realm cultivators. That’s why the Immortal Sun Emperor after coming back to life didn’t fight against the Immortal Star Emperor due to this new rule. Unless he is willing to offend those Tribulant Realm Seniors, he cannot kill the Immortal Star Emperor.

On the last day before the third month was over, a world announcement from the Heavens of the Inner Haven was heard. It was the voice of the Heavenly Laws who had approved the Heavenly Contract from the Yun Clan. It was a contract that would initiate an Alchemy Battle between the Yun Clan from the Core Haven and the Pill Tower from the Inner Haven.

{The Alchemy Battle between the Pill Tower from the Inner Haven and the Yun Clan from the Core Haven would start tomorrow at 10 am. Under the witness of the heavens, the location of the battle would take place in the sky above the market area of the Inner region and the stage would only open an hour before the battle begins. All Alchemists whose name under the contract would be tested. Any other contracts made that involve the Alchemy Battle will be erased by the Heavens. Cheating through Heavenly Oaths is not allowed.}

This warning was obviously for the Yun Clan who had approached someone from the Han Clan and made some moves to ensure that the Pill Tower would lose. Now that this announcement was made, the faces of those from the Yun Clan and the Alchemy Association were dark. They had never expected that the Heavenly Laws would make such an announcement. It seems now they can only prove through the battle that their clan is the best when it comes to Pill Refinement.

Registered players for the Alchemy Battle had arrived. The only fifth rank Alchemist from the Yun Clan, Yun Zen, had arrived in the Inner Haven a day ahead of the day promised for final preparation. Aside from Yun Zen, there is also Yun Zhou and Yun Ziyao. One is sixth rank Alchemist and the other is the young alchemy genius of their Yun Clan Yun Ziyao, another sixth rank Alchemist at such a young age. He is the grandson of Yun Zen.

Yun Zen, staring at the golden light from the heavens where the voice of the Heavenly Laws was heard, had a serious expression on his face.

"Yun Zhou, it seems that your hidden moves were detected as cheating by the heavens and even help that maniac from the Han Clan void the heavenly oath you ask him to make," Yun Zen said. "This is the first time I have witnessed the Heavenly Laws interfering to this extent. Even though the Heavenly Contract is rare, it never gets involved this much."

"Patriarch had noticed it as well?" Yun Zhou said. "The Heavenly Laws asked for fairness before but it was never this strict. I do not understand why though."

"Have you investigated our opponents from the Pill Tower?" Yun Zen asked.

Yun Zhou nodded his head and pulled out a scroll he had bought from the Stargazing Tower who sells information for a living.

"The information about the Han brothers, Han Siyu and Han Siri can easily be obtained but... the information about the last one is impossible to get. The Stargazing Tower elders had all suffered backlash from divining her origins. All we know is that this person called Yuelei Xuexia is a woman and a young one at that. Aside from that nothing else."

When the people of the Yun Clan heard about this, all their faces had turned serious. This is something they had never expected. For the Stargazing Tower to find nothing about a person meant that this person had a treasure that blocked her fate from being divined or someone the heavens protects.

Yun Zen said, "The strange involvement of the Heavenly Laws might have something to do with his woman. Have you investigated her relationship with the Pill Tower? If not, send some people to ask around. There must be someone from Inner Haven who has heard her name."

"Yes, Patriarch. I will send some people to investigate immediately!" said Yun Zhou as he sent some people from his clan to investigate this woman called Yuelei Xuexia.

However, after investigating the whole day, what the people had brought back terrified them. Moreover, not all of them had come back alive and only a few half dead soldiers had returned covered with the scent of blood. The members of the Yun Clan were all shocked.

Thud!

"Reporting to the Patriarch! This woman is named Yuelei Xuexia. She is a young woman who had just arrived in Inner Haven a few months ago. It seems she had a connection with the Pill Tower and everyone from the tower never spoke a word of who she was and closely protected her. However, we had investigated and learned that she also had connections to the Evernight Manor and the Evergreen Hanging Garden."

"When we asked around, some people pointed at the Hanging Garden as we had learned that the Elf King there had spoken with her. The Elf King had tried to capture us and send us to the Evernight Manor to deal with. The Assassin King, Hei Yu had personally appeared as well and started killing us. Only a few of us... had come back."

The Yun Clan noticed that most of these dead soldiers were dying, making the elders of the Yun clan panic as the information being reported to them was something they would have never expected.

Yun Zen command, "Speak faster!"

"She is... Black Cloud Academy’s Holy..."

Agh!

Everyone had witnessed the shadow of the death soldier move on its own and beheaded the men who had just escaped death. Blood splashed in the area like a sprinkler but no one screamed. Instead, they look at the black figure standing on the roof of the opposite side of the building where their inn is. They saw the Assassin King playing with the shadows around him and smirked at them before disappearing in the darkness. Such a provocation from a King realm cultivator, but no one dares to chase after him. After all, this is an assassin capable of killing even an emperor realm cultivator with just one carelessness.

Thud!

With the collected beheading of Yun Clan’s death soldiers, Yun Zen’s face had turned gloomy. He is glaring at the direction where the Assassin King had disappeared into. However, he can’t complain or retaliate. After all, this is not their main territory and they didn’t bring elders stronger than King realm cultivators. Using only King realm cultivators to fight against the assassin king in his own territory is only seeking death.

Enraged, Yun Zhou wanted to chase after Hei Yu with the God King realm cultivators they had brought but was stopped by the patriarch.

"That bastard! How dare he!?" Shouted Yun Zhou in hatred.

Yun Zen said, "Don’t chase. To kill the Assassin King, you will need at least a Quasi-Emperor or a False Emperor realm cultivator with you. Chasing with only Godking realm cultivators, to think the Evernight Manor only has one Assassin King?"

"But Patriarch! He killed our people to our faces like that!" Yun Zhou complained.

Yun Zen said face turned gloomy and said, "I know. Focus on the Alchemy Battle first. As long as we inherit the Legacy of the Late Divine Doctor, and took the Tree of Knowledge, the Pill Tower no longer needs to exist."

He looked at the rolling heads and headless bodies on the ground. With a frown, he said, "Clean up the place."
