Chapter 1003: Alchemy Battle

The arrival of the group led by the Immortal Sun Emperor were instantly recognized due to the color of their robes and the cloud pattern on it. Black Cloud Academy, most students were required to wear a uniformed white robes with black cloud pattern. The registered disciple wears light ancient robes with a black cloud pattern. The named disciples were told to wear dark grey and black cloud patterns. Only the direct disciples were asked to wear black robes with white patterned clouds motifs. As for the teachers, they are free to wear whatever robe they want as long as they hang their cloud shaped token on their waist.

The Immortal Sun Emperor ignored the crowd and said, "Follow me. Our seats are this way."

With Shen Jueyang in lead, spreading an unapproachable aura, no one from the crowd dares to come near their group. The location of their seats were at the forefront near the stage. The other audience were stunned as that was the area they were unable to enter awhile ago. Now a group was able to enter that area while making them feel that it was unfair.

A commotion had happened at the audience area.

"This is unfair! How can they enter that area!?"

"We all come here to support people. How come they ended up coming here and occupied such a good spot!"

"We’ve been here before them!"

{The reserved area is for the registered contestant of the Alchemy Battle. The people from the Black Cloud Academy were under Contestant Yuelei Xuexia’s supporters.}

It was only now that everyone had noticed that the reserved area had three seating arrangements for each team. Clearly, each registered alchemist was provided an area for their supporters to stay in. It was only when the host who had suddenly appeared had explained the reason for the reserved areas, that the ordinary audience that was complaining before had all shut their mouth. After all, they just came here to watch the fun and didn’t come to support anyone seriously. Who wouldn’t like to stay at the sky colosseum that appeared in thin air overnight.

—

On the other hand, at the Pill Tower...

After Yue Xuexia had teleported directly to the tower, she was welcomed by the elders and disciples who were waiting for her. Grand Elder Su Kan and Grand Elder Li Houye together with some elders and the disciples had gathered. They planned to support their three contestants for this Alchemy Battle. Of course, they do not need to worry that much as it was already announced that all prior oaths before the Alchemy Battle had been cancelled and due to this Alchemist Han Siri’s slot as a contestant had been retained.

The Moon Goddess said, "Are you two ready?"

The Han Brother, Han Siyu and Han Siri nod their heads. After asking this question, Yue Xuexia pats Elder Li Houye’s shoulder in comfort. She had truly planned to let this smart elder take the place of the mad genius, Han Siri. She was ready to threaten the heavenly laws just to remove his name for betraying them. Who would have thought that the Heavenly Laws would compromise and just cancelled the oath Han Siri had made.

"Next there is a competition, you can enter as well," said the Moon Goddess.

Elder Li Houye even though he knew that he had lost his chance after hearing the announcement yesterday and felt that his hard work throughout these three months had been wasted, these words from the Moon Goddess had comforted him. This shows that their Mistress truly believes that he has talent in alchemy. Though it might not be as high as a genius like Han Siri, he can still be considered a talented alchemist. As for Han Siri and Han Siyu, she had only given them a simple encouragement.

The Moon Goddess said, "I’ve taught you all knowledge that gave you the most solid foundation in alchemy. You can be considered as my, the Divine Doctor’s half disciple. To lose against someone in alchemy after learning under me would be embarrassing. In this battle, do not hold back anything and crush the Yun Clan."

"Yes, Mistress!" said the Han brothers.

Yue Xuexia said, "The other can go ahead and stay in the audience area. There is one reserved for the supporters of the contestants. The people from the Black Cloud Academy are already there. Elder Li, you arrange everyone in the area. Just tear this Teleportation Talisman, it would directly send you to the location where you can watch the alchemy battle."

The Goddess of the Moon had passed the Teleportation Talisman to the two Grand Elders to be distributed. Under the watch of Han Siyu, Han Siri and their Mistress, Yue Xuexia, they had torn the talismans and disappeared on the spot. Han Siyu and Han Siri were stunned by their sudden disappearance. It seems that the Teleportation Talisman in their hands was real.

Han Siri mumbles, "So this is truly a Teleportation Talisman."

"Do you think the Mistress would give you a fake one?" Han Siyu said.

Yue Xuexia stared at the two brothers in front of her and brought out two semi-divine cauldron artifacts before them. One each possessed a unique aura which is only weaker than her Nine Dragons Cauldron. The eyes of the two brothers had widened upon seeing these artifacts. Semi-divine treasures are actually extremely rare and only big families and sects have them. But now their Mistress is giving them away for free.

"Drip a blood and complete the ownership. This is my personal reward for you. Don’t lose, okay?" said the Moon Goddess.

Han Siri and Han Siyu did as they were told and dripped blood on the semi-divine cauldrons they had just received. With blood contract this semi-divine treasure is now theirs. They were so excited as if they had already won the alchemy battle.

Yue Xuexia after giving them the carrot, not giving them a stick. "If you lose, this treasure would be taken back~." She had given them their Teleportation Talismans disappearing on the spot.

When the Han brothers registered her words, they finally showed fear and seriousness for such a matter. Now they wanted to win this alchemy battle no matter what. Even if they ended up refining a divine pill there is their Mistress to protect them from their enemies. They hide their newly received cauldron and finally tear the Teleportation Talisman in their house. The next moment they had been teleported to the center of the colosseum where the Moon Goddess had disappeared too. The three members of the Yun Clan, Yun Zen, Yun Zhou and Yun Ziyao were also on the same stage. The six people were obviously split into two groups. The host created by the Heavenly Laws had reappeared in between them.

{With the six contestant’s arrival, the alchemy battle can now begin!}

The host had snapped his fingers and the six players had disappeared from the stage and reappeared at the six empty stations at the center stage. This is where they will be doing their alchemy and it’s before everyone’s eyes which made cheating almost impossible.

{Contestants, listen to me carefully. What I will be saying next is the important rules of the battle and its requirements. In this alchemy battle, there would be individual points and group points.}

{Let’s begin with individual points. There will be three rounds and each contestant must create three pills in front of everyone. As everyone already knows, each pill can be measured by their ranks, grade and purity. With the lowest rank being Mortal, Earth, Heaven, Divine, Immortal. Grade from 1 to 9 with one being lowest. As for the purity, it shows how much its effect and the remnant impurity a pill can possess. A pill with hundred percent purity is a top notch pill.}

{Pills will be compared with these three things. The most important thing among the three criteria is its rank, next is purity and then lastly its grade. Contestants, do your best to refine the best pill you can make.}

{Individual scores would be based on these three criteria and then to achieve some group points at each round, it would be based on your individual points. If two among three had won against those from the other group it would be considered a win for that group. Simple right?}

This time the host had clapped his hands and a scroll appeared before the contestants. This scroll possessed the power of creation and divinity which shocked everyone except for the always expressionless Moon Goddess. This scroll floated before the six contestants as if it was alive. There are those who tried to touch it only to be hit by it.

{The one in front of you is called Creation Scroll. It can only be used five times. As an alchemist, you should have your own Pill Recipes. Of course, your own recipes can be written as well. Anyway the heavens will be the one checking whatever content was written on the scroll. As long as the heavens approve your recipe, the listed materials in it would appear on your table.}

{Unapproved recipe will not get any materials and it would only use up the use of the Creation Scroll. Once you failed to get anything after trying five times it would be deemed a failure. So be careful~}

{Of course this only means as long as the written recipe is real, you can get corresponding materials. To use it or not, it depends on you. As long as you create three pills, the rest of the materials are considered yours. You can only bring it home as long as you were ranked within the top three of the individual competition.}
