Chapter 1041: 1041: Heavenly Dao Chains Again

After the Tribulation Shield Umbrella, a divine-grade defensive artifact was given to the Immortal Sun Emperor, Shen Jueyang. “Some of them might have guessed but not all of them,” said the Immortal Sun Emperor.

The Moon Goddess agreed but before she left, she passed a few more things in the Immortal Sun Emperor’s hands while saying, “Help me charge this.” Then she disappeared on the spot and reappeared beside everyone outside the formation.

Since the first trial was done, she had cancelled the isolation which enclosed what was happening at the center not to be felt by anyone. As soon as the barrier was dropped, the suppressing presence of the Supreme Lightning Tribulation can now be felt by everyone. It wasn’t unlike ordinary tribulation where they can only feel how terrifying the divine punishment is. Now they had realized what a world ending presence meant. Their whole bodies would instinctively tremble.

Everyone was watching as the Immortal Sun Emperor closed the umbrella and sat in meditative lotus form. With his eyes closed, everyone watches as he falls into a state of enlightenment where he will not know what is happening around him. His surroundings though were in ruins. Countless cracks, burns, craters all around him. With him at the center everything around him was destroyed, as if no life was able to survive.

The final trial of his tribulation doesn’t seem to be simple. Upon hearing what the heavens had announced, Shen Taiyang, Tan Shengyu and the rest of the people from the Immortal Sun Empire. They immediately surrounded their emperor pulling their weapons looking around vigilantly.

Shen Taiyang declared, “No one shall approach our Emperor. Force it and we shall kill you on the spot!”

This time the Great General is completely serious, that murderous intent was being emitted by him. It wasn’t only him but all the cultivators who came with him had the same serious and sharp expression. No one from the Ancient Moon Clan and the Regal Lei Clan had approached as most of them had absorbed that black lightning rain and they were now trying their best to refine it. “Don’t touch it!” The Moon Goddess said.

“These are heavenly dao chains! How come you have something like this on you, Xue’er!” Exclaimed Principal Wu Yao.

He had actually seen something similar in the past, when his lover broke the taboo of their tribe and had given him that Life Gu without them getting married, he had seen these chains sealed his beloved’s qi which lead to his tribe catching up to them when they had tried to escape. If not for the fact that his lover commanded all of his Gu to send him away, he would have been taken in as a prisoner with an ending worse than death. The tribe of his lover was never welcoming to outsiders.

Principal Wu Yao’s expression turned serious when he saw the chains and looked at her disciple. Actually, they were pretending not to know each other and each conversation before was done in which only they can hear about it. So when Yue Xuexia called Wu Yao her master no one from outside the formation heard it.

Wu Yao observed the dao chains and said, “What is the heaven preventing you from doing?”

The Moon Goddess didn’t answer, instead she looked in the direction of the Immortal Sun Emperor. This glance alone was enough for them to understand what those dao chains meant. It was preventing Yue Xuexia from getting involved further in the Immortal Sun Emperor’s trial. The second trial was completed in such a cheat-like manner and the heavens felt it would be unfair of the Moon Goddess to continue to interfere like this.

The Immortal Thunder Emperor said, “You have interfered too much, Xue’er. Stay still and don’t get involved anymore. The final trial is a fight against himself. You cannot get involved in this or his future dao will be useless. If anything unexpected happens I will make a move.”
