Chapter 995: Become my Successor

At the Yuegyang Peak...

A gorgeous peak covered in vibrant purple primordial bamboo gives the whole mountain a beautiful shade of violet which is completely different to the usual greeny scenery of other mountains in the Black Cloud Academy. Despite how beautiful this peak is, it used to be a forbidden zone which imprisoned a ferocious beast like Taotie. However, after the Taotie had been resolved and became the Black Academy’s Guardian this peak had become a normal peak with an underground prison.

Now this forbidden peak was given to the Holy Saint and Holy Saintess, and it was named Yueguang Peak. The only ones who live here are the Moon Goddess, Yue Xuexia and the Immortal Sun Emperor, Shen Jueyang. However, their real identities were hidden and they were only known as the Black Cloud Academy’s Holy Saintess and Holy Saint. The Immortal Emperor and the Moon Goddess place a Heavenly-grade defensive formation around the Yueguang Peak. Even if an Emperor realm cultivator attacked this mountain, it wouldn’t get destroyed at all. It can be said to be the safest place in the academy.

It can be said the existence of the Holy Saint and Holy Saintess to be the highest among all the disciples and students in the Black Cloud Academy which is normal, as they are the disciples of Principal Wu Yao. Because of this they are famous in the academy. The Principal had only said that the realm of these two disciples were at Godking realm despite being cultivators at Emperor realm. They are actually the strongest in the academy and only the two principals and Taotie knew about it.

Now the Holy Saintess, Yue Xuexia, is asking a young female disciple from the Medicine Peak. The little one is only a registered disciple which means in the eyes of the Peak Master of the Medicine Hall, her talents aren’t that powerful. Moreover, this young lady was only able to become the registered disciple of Peak Master because her family owns a few herb farms which the Medicine Peak needs as a source of herbs for healing. The name of the Black Cloud Academy and the fact that she is a disciple of Peak Master, Lao Fan had given her clan the backing and protection they had needed. Thus being a registered disciple is enough to keep this relationship.

The young disciple was also quite satisfied with that. After all, even though registered disciples cannot learn the original techniques of Elder Lao Fan, she can still borrow some books in the Medicine Hall. This privilege was enough to let her become an ordinary doctor in the Immortal World. She was destined to become a doctor and this is her dream. Never would she expect that one day, she would be chosen to enter the Yueguang Peak and meet the Holy Saintess who is also their Dashijie.

When she first sees the Moon Goddess, the first thing that comes to her mind is that her appearance doesn’t match her demeanor. She felt like an elegant, noble young lady. A cold faced princess but her appearance is simple and common which doesn’t fit her aura alone. Even though she can be called beautiful compared to the fairies in the other sects and clan, she felt a bit too average.

If you are worried about Martial Uncle Lao Fan getting angry don’t worry. I have already informed him ahead of time while you are picking up the Hong Brothers. He has agreed as long as you are willing."

"Holy Saintess, are you not joking? You want me as your disciple? But my talents in cultivation and medicine are average. I might not be able to learn well," the young disciple honestly confessed. She knew the extent of her capabilities and the limit of her talents. It was because of this that even though she had become a registered disciple, she had never taken an assessment exam to become a named disciple of the Medicine Peak.

"What is your name, young lady?" Yue Xuexia patted her head gently.

"I...I am Si Meili," the young disciple answered.

Si Clan. It is the wealthiest clan in the Inner Haven. Yue Xuexia knows about ts and they have more than a quarter of the territory in the Inner Haven under the Cultivators side. No wonder Peak Master Lao Fan was willing to accept her as a disciple even though she didn’t have talent in his eyes.

The Moon Goddess asked, "Little one, do you know what is the most precious thing that a doctor must have?"

Seeing the insignia of the Tree of Knowledge which is said to be used as the crest only owned and used by each era’s divine doctor, Si Meili was speechless. The Moon Goddess used her qi to lift her new disciple and tapped her robes changing it to white ancient robes similar to hers, but hers is a miniskirt version. It had a moon and lotus flower imprint which signifies the name of the Goddess of the Moon.

"Good. Now come with me to Medicine Peak to bid farewell to your former teacher. Starting today you will live on Yueguang Peak," said the Moon Goddess.

She held the little girl’s hand and pulled her over to where the Immortal Sun Emperor and Qiuqiu were. The two had just finished watering the herb garden and were just cleaning themselves when Yue Xuexia arrived holding the hand of a young lady, who seemed shy.

The Immortal Sun Emperor said, "Who is the little one, Xue’er?"

"Her name is Si Meili, my first disciple. She will learn medicine and alchemy from me!" The Moon Goddess said.

Shen Jueyang was stunned, he had just mentioned taking a disciple last night. Who would have thought that Yue Xuexia would immediately pick one the next morning. However, isn’t it just a disciple? He didn’t mind as this little one would most likely not live in the same house as theirs. It’s better to build her a new place on the Yueguang Peak.

"Oh~ Nice to meet you, Xiao Mei. Since you became Xue’er’s disciple then I am now your martial uncle. Today is our first meeting. I should give you a gift that fits you the most." The Immortal Sun Emperor said. "Xue’er said that you possessed an unawakened Myriad Medicine God’s Physique. "You also have dual fire and wood spirit roots. I might need to give you a gentler heavenly flame. Xue’er, which flame do you think fits her?" Shen Jueyang asked. As the Immortal Sun Emperor, he wields the authority of the sun.

Sun is the main source of flame and the strongest of it. It can give birth to all kinds of flames as long as one wields it to do so.
