"Impossible, impossible!" Angela shouted when she heard the results of Hua Zifeng’s investigation. "It was that Susan who did this to me! If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have ended up like this."

"Miss Angela, please calm down," Hua Zifeng said. "My investigation has made it clear. The three crewmen committed the crime on a whim after seeing you. It has nothing to do with Miss Susan."

After leaving Su Qing, Hua Zifeng went to interrogate the three crewmen again. With decades of experience handling cases, he naturally had his ways of making them tell the truth.

"Impossible!" Angela pointed at Hua Zifeng and said, "Go arrest her! Arrest that Susan! I want her in prison."

"Angela, don’t be like this." Yarn frowned. "This has nothing to do with Miss Susan. Why do you keep trying to drag her into it?"

"How does it have nothing to do with her?" Angela looked at Yarn, her eyes red. "If it weren’t for her, would you and I have argued? If we hadn’t argued, would I have gone to the deck so late? If I hadn’t gone to the deck, would this have happened? Yarn, I’m already in this state. Shouldn’t I find the real culprit and make her pay?"

Hearing Angela’s words, Hua Zifeng’s brow furrowed almost imperceptibly, but he didn’t say anything. This matter had nothing to do with Miss Susan, and he certainly wouldn’t trouble Miss Susan based on Miss Angela’s claims.

Yarn looked at Angela in disbelief. "Angela, from the very beginning, Miss Susan has kept her distance from me. Besides, I’ve made it clear to you that whether I know Miss Susan or not, I could never get engaged to you. I only have brotherly feelings for you."

Large tears rolled down Angela’s face. She looked at Yarn, her expression pained. "Then what am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to do?"

Yarn pressed his lips together and said nothing. He was not the type to compromise easily. While he may have acted ungentlemanly during their argument on the ship, he would absolutely not compromise and get engaged to her because of what she had gone through. To put it bluntly, Angela’s own willfulness and petulance were largely responsible for her ordeal, and he would absolutely not pay the price for that.

Yarn took a deep breath and said to Angela in a softer tone, "Get some rest for now. I’ll follow up on this case. When the time comes, we will definitely not let those three off lightly."

After hearing Yarn’s words, Angela stared at him fixedly. After a long moment, she gritted her teeth and said, "To put it bluntly, you just can’t bring yourself to go after that Susan, can you."

"Angela, you’re going too far. This has had nothing to do with Miss Susan from the very beginning," Yarn said, suppressing the anger in his heart.

"Hmph. I don’t want to see you. Get out. I don’t want to see you." Angela grabbed a nearby throw pillow and hurled it at Yarn. "Get out! All of you, get out!"

Yarn picked up the pillow, placed it on the bed, and said, "Angela, get some rest. I’ll come see you later."

After speaking, Yarn turned to Hua Zifeng and said, "Mr. Hua, I’m sorry to have troubled you with this. I’ll have your payment sent over later. Thank you for your hard work."

Hua Zifeng nodded slightly. "This is my duty. It was no trouble."

Yarn instructed Angela’s room steward to take good care of her, then left the room with Hua Zifeng. Yarn once again expressed his gratitude to Hua Zifeng, then said, "Angela’s attitude earlier was poor. I hope you won’t take it to heart, Mr. Hua. She’s suffered a great shock and hasn’t been able to accept it, which is why she’s so emotional."

"It’s fine. I understand," Hua Zifeng said.

Yarn nodded and added, "I seem to have heard quite a few rumors about Miss Susan these past two days. If possible, I hope you can help clarify things, Mr. Hua."

"Rest assured, Mr. Yan, I will handle it. It’s just that with Miss Angela, you’ll still need to do your best to console her."

"I understand." Yarn nodded. "We should be docking the day after tomorrow. When that time comes, I’ll contact the family. We will absolutely not let those three men get away with this."

They had harmed a young lady of the Walker Family. No matter how you looked at it, the Walker Family would never let those three off lightly.

But the thought of having to discuss Angela’s situation with his family later gave Yarn a headache. He was afraid that after this incident, things had become even more difficult.

Yarn unconsciously thought of Su Qing and sighed to himself.

Su Qing paid no more attention to Yarn’s affairs, nor did she pay any mind to the various rumors about her circulating on the ship. What she didn’t know was that thanks to Yarn and Hua Zifeng’s handling of the situation, those rumors had gradually died down.

「Finally, two days later, the Jixiang docked at A Tai’s Pusun Port.」

Su Qing was in a fantastic mood when she disembarked. Although the incident with Angela had occurred on the ship, she had truly harvested a great deal of seafood this time. Piles and piles of fish were now stacked in her space—a rough count suggested more than ten different kinds, enough to eat for a very long time. And there was still the return trip! Su Qing decided she would go for another haul on the way back, to properly satisfy her craving for catching seafood.

"Susan!" Just as Su Qing was about to leave the port to find a vehicle to her destination, she heard Angela’s voice from behind her.

Su Qing turned at the sound and saw Angela being helped off the ship by two people. Having not seen her for a few days, Angela’s complexion looked much better than when she had just been rescued, but she still seemed to have no strength to walk and could only move with support.

Angela looked at Su Qing with fury. "You just wait. Sooner or later, I’ll settle this score with you."

Su Qing smiled faintly. "Alright. Since you want to settle the score, I’ll be waiting for you to come find me."

’If Angela can even find me!’

"You... Despicable!" Seeing Su Qing’s smiling face, Angela felt like she was about to explode with rage. Her whole body began to tremble, she couldn’t catch her breath, and she suddenly fainted.

Instantly, chaos erupted around them.

Su Qing raised an eyebrow slightly, paid no more mind to Angela’s situation, and left on her own. Yarn, who had just stepped off the ship, watched Su Qing’s departing figure. His lips moved, but in the end, he didn’t call out her name. He gazed deeply at her back, searing the image into his memory, then said to the people supporting Angela, "Take Miss Angela to the car."

Pusun Port was some distance from Su Qing’s destination. Su Qing found a rickshaw to take her to the train station, where she boarded a small train. A few hours later, the train pulled into her final destination: Kongkan.
