And so Chen Ming understood the boss’s abilities.

The boss was also a Psychic.

But completely different from the Psychic of Zuo Jing that Chen Ming had previously killed.

The boss’s psychic power was about the power of human spirit, while that Psychic’s power lay in the power of Spiritual Energy itself.

The boss needed the existence of "people" to enhance himself, no wonder he hated the Crimson Dimension so much.

After all, this kind of thing affecting human consciousness would have a terrifying impact on the boss’s city in the Consciousness Space.

"What are you thinking about?"

Just as Chen Ming’s thoughts were spreading, the boss asked.

Chen Ming explained his thoughts.

"No, that’s not it."

The boss corrected him: "It’s only because the source of power in my Consciousness Space is the human spirit that the power I exhibit is spiritual."

"There’s a reason I am deliberately guiding it this way; you know I used to study psychology, so I guided my Spiritual Energy to evolve in this direction."

Chen Ming nodded and didn’t dwell on the specifics of how Spiritual Energy was realized, knowing dwelling on it would be useless.

He curiously asked, "Is my projection here too?"

"Yes, it is."

The boss replied and suddenly changed the topic: "Actually, I need to thank you."

"Thank me?"

"Take a look at this city, how do you feel?"

Chen Ming looked out through the shuttle boat’s porthole as they were flying towards the outskirts of the city, and said, "It’s very lively, much like reality, but seems to be missing something."

"Right, it’s missing all non-human entities."

The boss didn’t beat around the bush and laid out the key issue: "I’ve always treated humans as the focal point, so previously there were no other creatures in this city besides humans."

"I barely had chances to interact with those beings; the only opportunity to engage with animals and plants was at the dining table while on the Space Station."

"It wasn’t until you mentioned wanting to communicate with the Phase Giant Beast through my Spiritual Energy that I realized it’s not just humans, but any living being and even any matter, can be recorded by my Consciousness Space,"

"All things have spirits."

"The power of spirit is not limited to humans. I can continue to grow, so I have to thank you."

So that’s why when Chen Ming brought it up with the boss a couple of days ago, the boss suddenly agreed promptly and stayed silent for a while.

Presumably, the city inside this Consciousness Space has already begun to gradually gain more vitality.

The boss’s abilities should be able to enhance after a while.

"What about the Phase Giant Beast?"

"It’s already in the city, we’ll go see it later."

"But before that, there’s something I need to tell you, you should take a look at yourself."

The boss casually waved his hand, projecting an image from one place onto a layer of light.

Chen Ming looked over and found it was an image of his projection in the boss’s Consciousness Space working.

His projection was standing in the top floor of the government building of the city, holding an important position.

The other people working around him were all extremely solid projections, with a distinctly different intensity compared to the ordinary people outside.

Chen Ming took a few glances but didn’t see anything wrong, so he asked, "What’s the matter?"

The boss waved his hand again, dissolving the light screen.

"Your physical body is still intact, and you even have multiple spare bodies, but your consciousness has already started to have issues."

As he spoke, he took a small mirror out of his pocket and handed it to Chen Ming.

Chen Ming took the mirror and looked at its surface.

His eyes subconsciously widened.

Because the person in the mirror was not his human form.

In the mirror, his body had two almost completely overlapping heads.

His body was mechanized, but the mechanical structure didn’t completely protect the body.

You could see through the gaps in the mechanical parts, revealing semi-transparent gray-green internal organs, as if there is some thick liquid flowing within them, his right arm had already become a tentacle shape.

Although his left arm barely maintained a human appearance, a closer look would reveal that threads of blood-colored strands were passing through pores.

His legs were completely void, yet he stood still.

Except for the overall human shape, no traces of being human were visible.

"..."

Chen Ming could roughly understand why his consciousness took this form.

The two overlapping heads formed the foundation of his abilities, resulting from the fusion of Transmigrator Chen Ming and Maintenance Master Chen Ming’s consciousness.

His mechanized body corresponded to his most basic ability, controlling ships and devices.

The Insect Race’s organs and tentacles corresponded to his connection with the Insect Queen.

And the threads on his arm represented the power he seized from the Crimson Dimension.

As for the void legs.

It might be caused by Phase Power, or perhaps because part of his consciousness was elsewhere, leading to a partial lack in his consciousness form.

Chen Ming felt the latter was more likely.

Of course, it didn’t mean the other constructs Chen Ming controlled operated solely through legs; the lack in consciousness form should be more symbolic.

Like now, when Chen Ming’s own eyes looked at his conscious body’s form, everything seemed normal.

His self-perception remained that of a normal human.

Yet Chen Ming wasn’t sure whether the boss had seen it wrong.

So he immediately used part of his external consciousness to connect with the Insect Queen, asking it to describe the appearance of his consciousness form.
