Chapter 1327 Seeking Death (5)

Seeing this, Yelu Shou immediately flung out his left hand’s Steel Claw, like a meteor descending from the sky, smashing toward the Ghost Robe.

No matter how fast the Ghost Robe was, he couldn’t simultaneously avoid the attacks from above and below. Yelu Shou and Lao Jiu coordinated their attacks, forcing the Ghost Robe back into the corner, continuously striking at his abdomen and head, cornering his Ghost Blade in front of his chest.

With one attacking from afar and the other up close, they seamlessly drove the Ghost Robe to repeatedly let out ghostly screams, scaring Murong Lengyue who dared not look directly. This brutal battle was something she had never witnessed in her life, and she couldn’t imagine what would happen next, making her regret her earlier decision.

The intense battle didn’t last long. Lao Jiu and Yelu Shou tightened their encirclement, almost pinning the Ghost Robe against the corner, toying with him like a cat playing with a mouse, not in a hurry to kill, only teasing out of malice.

The Ghost Robe was already covered in wounds, but he still refused to give up, swinging his Ghost Blade to fight against the two, as a large amount of blood oozed from his body, the gap between his clenched teeth hissing.

Yelu Shou stepped forward, his left hand’s Steel Claw aimed at the Ghost Blade, while his right fist unhesitatingly swung toward seven inches below his abdomen.

A thick, viscous spurt of blood shot out from the Ghost Robe’s mouth. His steps softened, and his entire body leaned to one side.

"Give him a quick end!" Lao Jiu said softly. Yelu Shou glanced at the Ghost Robe, his Steel Claw already pierced into the previous spot.

Quan Mingyuan was stunned on the spot seeing Ghost Robe defeated just like that, seemingly unable to comprehend why those who seemed so weak earlier managed to win so easily in the end.

Yelu Shou removed the Steel Claw from his left hand. With one already destroyed, the other had no further use. He picked up the Ghost Blade, carefully examining its patterns. The Ghost Robe’s potency lay in his weapon, which is why he could be so easily defeated afterward.

Weighing the Ghost Blade in his hand, he tossed one to Lao Jiu, keeping the other as he approached Quan Mingyuan. "Let your people come out."

As soon as he finished speaking, several explosions sounded continuously outside the warehouse, a blaze enclosing the entire perimeter of the warehouse. Yelu Shou made a sound of surprise as he looked at Quan Mingyuan, who also seemed very confused, but neither intended to go out to investigate.

"You two are indeed capable subordinates of Young Master Xiao, able to kill the Ghost Robe so easily. But this is just the beginning, two against one is no honor in victory!" Quan Mingyuan shook his head, expressing unusual regret over the fierce battle.

"With someone like you, there is no need to talk about principles." Lao Jiu snorted coldly.

"I always thought Young Master Xiao was a character, but I didn’t expect his men to be so unruly, truly regrettable." Quan Mingyuan laughed twice, still appearing unable to let it go, with more disdain for Xiao Lin’s character in his words.

"Quan Mingyuan, you don’t need to provoke us with any strategy, we were never good people." Yelu Shou frowned unhappily, the Ghost Blade in his hand pointing toward Quan Mingyuan.

As his foot stepped forward, Lao Jiu knew what he intended to do. This time, he didn’t follow closely but vigilantly looked around.

Yelu Shou brandished the Ghost Blade, charging at Quan Mingyuan, leaping into the air, both hands gripping the Ghost Blade, slashing downward at Quan Mingyuan’s head.

Clang! Clang! Clang! A dark silhouette blocked in front of Quan Mingyuan, confronting the Ghost Blade head-on with a Wrist Guard.

The owner of the Wrist Guard blocked the Ghost Blade barehanded, pushing forcefully outward, shaking Yelu Shou away, both standing their ground.

Yelu Shou curiously examined the large figure standing barehanded before him, turning to look at Lao Jiu, who shook his head, not knowing much about the person’s background.

The big guy clashed his arms, the rough and muscular veins popping out, engulfing his entire being, looking terrifyingly solid. For a moment, he seemed like a bronze wall, like a Gladiator walking out of Ancient Rome, just needing a sword and shield to be perfect.

Quan Mingyuan chuckled sinisterly, hiding behind the big guy, snickering. "The Ghost Robe was just the beginning. Since you two like to stick your necks out, I have plenty more here. Even if these people aren’t your match, attrition will eventually exhaust you."

Quan Mingyuan’s intent was crystal clear: he was ready to fight. Even if you’re formidable, my numbers and attrition tactics will tire you out and slowly take you down, that was his strategy.

"Damn! Despicable!" Lao Jiu spat on the ground, flames blazing in his eyes.

The big guy lifted his foot, stomping heavily on the ground, seemingly shaking the entire floor. Yelu Shou stopped Lao Jiu with one motion. "He’s provoking you, don’t fall for it."

Outside, several more explosions echoed, contrasting sharply with the quietness within the warehouse.

"Young Master Quan, why not reveal all your secret weapons? Just the thunder without rain, isn’t that a bit childish?" Yelü Shou mocked. "Although we aren’t exactly respectable characters either, we don’t want to take advantage of you, Young Master Quan, nor do we want to leave room for gossip. There’s just one big guy in front of you, why not call in the others from outside?"

Quan Mingyuan was startled, realizing from Yelü Shou’s words that the people outside weren’t Xiao Lin’s. Then who were they? With a cold snort, he clapped his hands, and true to Yelü Shou’s words, two more people emerged from the shadows, just as unarmed as the big guy.

"It was two against one just now, now we’re even."

"Quan Mingyuan, you’re a scoundrel." Lao Jiu also noticed that although these three men had no weapons, their muscles and fists were their best weapons, not to be underestimated.

Yelü Shou chose not to say more, swiftly darting towards the first man, while Lao Jiu swung Ghost Blade at another.

Clang! Clang! Ghost Blade hitting their bodies felt like chopping metal sheets, not only causing no harm but also sparking. What was this? Lao Jiu looked at Yelü Shou; could it be they were facing not humans, but robots?

"Watch out!" Yelü Shou shouted, kicking away the approaching big guy and flipping over to throw Ghost Blade past Lao Jiu. With a bang, the other big man trying to sneak attack Lao Jiu from behind toppled to the ground, Ghost Blade struck between his legs.

"Damn!" Lao Jiu cursed, the two of them falling back-to-back in a standoff against the three.

The big guy sprawled on the ground seemed scared stiff by Ghost Blade, which made him unsteady and fall. He looked foolishly stunned but became furious, roaring at Yelü Shou.

"These guys really aren’t human!" Lao Jiu clicked his tongue watching the big guy charge forward with surprising speed for his size.

Yelü Shou placed a hand on Lao Jiu’s shoulder, using it to vault into the air, his feet tapping in midair, forcefully sending the big guy flying back several steps.

Lao Jiu, seeing that Ghost Blade couldn’t harm these three, threw it down with resolve. Yelü Shou, after driving them back four to five steps, barely stopped before they coordinated seamlessly to charge again. Lao Jiu, not as agile as Yelü Shou, leaned aside and punched fiercely at the first big guy arriving.

The left waist was brutally hit, the big guy paused, then bellowed as his left fist followed down towards Lao Jiu’s back.

The damage Lao Jiu caused to his left waist was severe, and Yelü Shou clearly heard the sound of bones cracking, yet this big guy, unfazed, could still deliver a heavy blow – it was beyond what could be described as human.

Yet, the punch from behind supposed to hit Lao Jiu suddenly stopped mid-air, as the big guy jumped, converting a single punch to hoist Lao Jiu by the waist, lifting him up like a child chick though Lao Jiu was nearly 1.8 meters tall, then flinging him away.

Such rapid change in tactics was unexpected for Yelü Shou who, trying to rescue Lao Jiu, found himself blocked by the other two. They encircled Yelü Shou, three against one.

Lao Jiu was a bit dazed, having slammed against a wall, his chest churned, blood spurted from his throat. Climbing up from the ground, Yelü Shou was already engaged with the three, not in the slightest advantageous.

"Damn it, damn!"

Not being power-type guys, facing three skilled in external martial arts, it’s inevitable they fall short. Just as he intended to re-join and bet his life, someone darted into the warehouse.

It was unclear what strange force he used, grabbing a big guy’s belt and tossing him back. Bang! The big guy was flung out of the warehouse like a sandbag.

Seeing their companion incapacitated, the other two turned their focus to the suddenly-appearing figure. The mysterious power punch felt like hitting cotton, the absorbed strength eliciting roars of anger from them.

"What brings you here, Xiao Lin?" Yelü Shou, upon seeing the newcomer was Chu Qi, was momentarily stunned.

"Unknown folks arrived outside, being dealt with. He told me to come assist first." Chu Qi deflected two big guys’ attacks as he answered Yelü Shou.

Lao Jiu, seeing Chu Qi enter, also sensed trouble outside. "Leave this to you guys, I’ll check it out."

Yelü Shou nodded; dealing with these three, Lao Jiu couldn’t manage, but with Chu Qi joining, their chance wasn’t slim.

Quan Mingyuan, noticing the newcomer and their hushed conversation, couldn’t help but shift his focus outside.

The flung-out big guy charged back quickly, swinging both fists at Chu Qi’s position, as simultaneously, the other two executed a pincer attack from left and right. Yelü Shou picked up Ghost Blade, joining the skirmish to help Chu Qi by distracting one of them. (To be continued. If you liked this work, feel free to vote and support on Qidian [qidian.com].
