Spy Wife Harem: SSS-rank Secret Organization
Chapter 24: The look of respect.
"Snowspire will do, m’Lady." Snow knelt down before the fourth princess and smiled at her warmly. She could feel the unique aura that she carried in an instant.
Snow knew about her thanks to Eagle’s report, but even though she did not know how strong this girl was before, she knew now.
And she knew just how easy it would be to take her down.
She was nothing compared to the Black fish, nothing compared to that monstrous red mage, and certainly nothing compared to the bastard who sits on the Mayn throne.
Still, as she watched the girl, only respect was seen in her eyes. Respect that any subject of the kingdom would have for their princess was seen on her.
"Aha~. My dear lady~."
Snow thought the fat pig of a guide would at least show some respect towards the princess. But, he just came up to her and kissed her hand like greeting some girl from a noble house.
For hierarchy’s sake she was a princess. If it were Snow in her position, she would have him kneeling down before her and whipped till his back was gory.
That level of disrespect towards your rulers isn’t tolerated anywhere around the world... but the young princess somehow had a use for this fat pig.
"Ah, Viscount Goredi. It is a wonderful sight to see you again." She was disgusted by his very sight. "We appreciate you for bringing our valued guest here."
She greeted him, avoided touching him, and stepped towards their guest immediately.
"Then, I shall take the guest from here. Mattel here will guide you to the administrative office."
She gave her a smile but she was indirectly mocking him when she said the butler would ’guide’ her. The noble viscount wasn’t as dumb as he looked. He knew what she meant by those words. He just didn’t care enough to show respect to her.
’Bastards.’
Nobles were like that.
They believed themselves to be the rulers of the world, masters of everything that’s around them.
The powers that they were just fortunate to be born with had gone to the heads of the likes of him.
And it was all too clear to this princess who had seen the world from a mountain top and the swordswoman who had dwelled on the lowest of the lows.
"Pig Prick."
Snow cursed without restraint even though it was a noble they were thinking about.
"?"
The princess was surprised.
But then she saw the disgusted look that she had on her, and a strange kind of familiarity bloomed in her heart.
"Haa. Anyways, m’Lady. Shall we?" Lily had the brightest smile on her face when she looked back at the princess.
She had proper respect for her, not the artificial one, not the one that most of the mages in the gray tower had, but the one that their knights gave to the commander or the red mage.
The princess found it surprising. She had never had someone be so... dedicated towards her.
"Princess?" She was out of it for a moment before Snow called out to her.
"Ah." And when she was out of her daze, she thought about how attractive this person truly was.
"Right. This way, Miss." She guided the veteran inside the palace and one by one, showed her things that arrived on the way.
Then, suddenly, she had a question.
"You fought in a war, right Miss?"
"Oh yes. Yes I did."
She obviously didn’t. Not recently at least.
"So..."
The princess had gone out of the castle to see the world that she had only learned about from her tutors. She had known about the world, but not war.
As evil, deviant of a bitch she may be, she was curious.
"What is war like?"
It was a serious question. An innocent question.
It was a question that a princess wouldn’t ask usually. But, the person that the question was asked to was different.
She couldn’t pinpoint it, but, when she looked at her, for some reason, she couldn’t help but think about her father... which was crazier since she never thought about her father.
It was truly strange to her.
