Chapter 97: 97. A Pack of Dogs Sharing One Bed, According to a Valkyrie

I lay there... spent and shaking, and I looked up at them—Laura, with her glistening lips and her tear-streaked cheeks and her proud, triumphant smile, while Alicia, with her dark, satisfied eyes and her fingers still tangled in my hair... and I knew.

I knew with every fiber of my being that I was the luckiest bastard alive.

"Okay," Alicia said, breaking the silence with a satisfied sigh. "Now I think it’s my turn."

"You just—"

"I know what I just did... I was teaching."

"There’s a difference." She leaned down and kissed my lips with a slow, deep, lingering feeling, and then she sat up, and her naked body was on full display in the morning light, and I could feel my cock stirring again.

"You’re kidding me."

"I’m not." Alicia looked at Laura and winked. "Your turn next after me, okay?"

"We’re going to practice all morning."

Laura blushed, but she smiled.

She smiled, and she reached for the sheet and pulled it over her shoulders and said, "Okay."

And it was—it was the most beautiful morning of my life.

But a few minutes later, a rough voice boomed outside the tent, and the world came crashing back.

"RAVENSHIELD...!"

It was Sharon. I scrambled upright, too fast, and hit my head on the ridgepole.

"Nagghh...!" I held my head but then answered her fast. "Y-yes!"

Alicia and Laura almost laughed looking at me, but then they managed to cover it with their hands. But then they start panicking because they really WASTED a lot of time giving blowjobs and not preparing for the morning.

"Get up! We’ve got a long day!"

"I’m up!"

"Then why are you still in there?"

’Fuck...’ I gulped. I-I’m getting dressed!"

"With who?"

There was a pause.

I looked at Alicia. Alicia looked at Laura.

Laura, from beneath the blanket, made a sound like a kettle.

The silence that followed Laura’s kettle-like sound was the loudest thing I’d ever heard in my life.

Sharon’s voice came again, closer now. The shadow of her figure appeared against the canvas, and we all froze.

"I can hear you breathing in there," she said flatly. "All three of you... Like a pack of dogs sharing one bed."

"We were—we were praying!" I blurted out.

"Praying," Alicia repeated, her voice so flat it could have been a funeral. "Praying very loudly!"

"With a lot of... physical exertion."

"It was a—a ritual!" Laura squeaked from under the blanket.

"A ritual," Sharon said.

She was right outside the tent now. I could see her boots through the canvas. "I’ve been awake since the first light."

"I was going to wake you for morning drills. But then I heard... that."

"What?" I asked.

"Everything," Sharon said. "The moaning... The gasping... The wet—"

"SHARON!" Alicia and I screamed at the same time.

"The wet thudding of what I assume was someone falling out of bed repeatedly," Sharon corrected, completely unfazed. "Now... You have exactly five minutes to get dressed!"

"If you’re not outside by then, I will come in there and drag you out."

"And believe me, I will not be gentle."

Five minutes.

The next five minutes were the most chaotic, uncoordinated, and panic-stricken five minutes of my life.

I was trying to pull on my pants while Alicia was trying to find her bra, and Laura was still wrapped in the blanket like a burrito, trying to figure out where her armor pieces were.

"My gauntlet! Where’s my—"

"Under the—"

"Under the what?"

"Under the sheets, Laura!"

"I’m coming! I’m coming!"

We scrambled. We threw things together.

I buckled my belt over a cock that was still not fully cooperating, which was its own kind of torture. Alicia was shoving her chest into her armor with a grimace.

Laura emerged from the blanket like a cocoon-born creature, her hair wild, her face still flushed, and one gauntlet in the wrong hand.

After that... We burst out of the tent together like we were escaping a burning building.

And there stood Sharon.

Sharon looked at the three of us and then sighed. "The three of you are such lovebirds... you can really blame young ones."

She then raised her finger. "Never do it again in the tent, okay...? And if the second time happens, then I’ll make sure the three of you will be put in the extreme training that I’ve prepared!"

"Y-you know...?" I was shocked.

"Yeah... and I helped with my Aether so that your voices won’t be heard by the others." She facepalmed.

Laura’s head was already kissing the ground to apologize deeply because she’s ashamed of her knight student. "I am sorry, Lady Sanford...!"

Alicia and I were shocked seeing Laura act like that, and so we do the same by making our heads kiss the ground. And I accidentally put dirt on my mouth.

’We’re sorry as well, Lady Sanford..." I said with Alicia.

Sharon exhaled harder. "Alright, alright, that’s enough!"

"Clean and dress properly before eating breakfast!" She then leaves the three of us.

We ducked back into the tent like three guilty schoolchildren who’d just been caught with contraband.

The canvas flap swung shut behind us, and for three seconds, we just stood there... breathing hard, hearts hammering, the morning air stinging our skin.

Then Laura’s knees buckled.

She didn’t fall, but she dropped. Her forehead hit the dirt floor with a soft thud, and her hands flew out to press her palms flat against the ground.

"I am so sorry," she whispered into the dirt. "I am so sorry...!"

"I am a disgrace to my pride as a knight...! I am a disgrace to my order!"

"I am—"

"Laura, please, get up—"

"NO! I cannot look at Lady Sanford."

"I cannot look at any of you!"

"I have brought shame upon this entire camp." Her voice was trembling, and her ears were so red I could see them from across the tent. "She heard... she heard... and I was the one who—"

"You weren’t the one who did what," Alicia said, kneeling beside her and grabbing her shoulders. "Laura, look at me."

"I can’t."

"Laura... Look at me."

"I’m a knight. I’m supposed to be honorable..."

"I’m supposed to be—"

"You’re a woman," Alicia said firmly. "And you’re his woman!"

"And what we were doing was... well, it was very loud, but it was ours."

"But the moaning—" Laura’s voice broke. "I made noises, Alicia... shameless noises."

"You made beautiful noises," I said, and I immediately regretted it because Laura’s face was now so red I genuinely feared she might combust.

"Roland, that’s not helping," Alicia said flatly.

"Sorry."

"I’m sorry too, Laura," I said, sitting down beside her. "Look, Sharon’s been around for years as a knight."

"She’s probably seen worse... in fact, she’s probably heard worse too."

"You know how military camps are—"

"You’d be surprised," Alicia added with a dry chuckle.

Laura’s face was still in the dirt. "She said she used her Aether to muffle the sound."

"She... she helped us."

"That’s actually kind of sweet," I said. "The others won’t know we have sex then."

"It’s humiliating!" Laura wailed, finally lifting her head.

Her hair was a disaster; look, it was all wild, tangled, and sticking out in every direction. She had a smudge of dirt on her nose.

One gauntlet was on her left hand. The other gauntlet was nowhere to be found.

"She helped us hide our—our—"

"Our praying," Alicia said, not a single muscle in her face moving.

"OUR PRAYING!" Laura repeated, her voice cracking. "She helped us hide our PRAYING!"

"That’s what I said," Alicia said.

Laura stared at her. Then she stared at me.

Then she covered her face with both hands and let out a sound that was half-sob, half-laugh, and half-screech.

"Okay, okay," Alicia said, standing up and reaching for her clothes. "Everyone, dress... Now!"

"Before she comes back."

"Laura, you’re doing your armor; I’ll help you find your other gauntlet, and Roland—"

"I’m already halfway dressed," I said, tugging on my shirt.

"Good! You’re on water detail today."

"I—"

"That’s not a negotiation."
