Everything happened in an instant. Neither the monk nor the elven prince could even mount a defense before the poison assaulted them. Myriad silver runes started appearing on their bodies one after the other.

These were not normal runes. Each one was powerful and mysterious. The elven prince was the first to fall. His aura diminished in an instant and his orbs started looking pale and listless.

The monk managed to put a few seconds of fight. It seemed as if he was well versed with runes and was frantically trying to inscribe something on himself with golden wisps of energy. When that failed he started taking out one treasure after another.

There was a rustic looking bell. Then came a simple and plain stick. Then there was some sort of water which was similar to holy water but it wasn’t exactly that.

The elven prince as well refused to simply accept things. His sword aura blasted outward and he shone like a star who was about to explode.

The world trembled under the sheer force of his resistance. The pale, listless orbs around him shook violently before reigniting, their dim light flaring once more as he forced power back into them through sheer will.

"Do you think..." Kelvin’s voice thundered, filled with pride, "...that something like this can bring me down?"

However, the poison was nasty and brutal. The more power he forced out, the deeper the runes dug in, latching onto that very surge. The elven prince let out a howl of agony as more runes locked him from head to toe.

"It’s useless." Damon muttered as he watched the two of them. Fighting the poison was completely futile because he too was trying that right now and having absolutely no luck whatsoever.

Damon sucked in a big breath. Seeing the hundredth rune appearing on his body despite everything he was doing, he gave up on trying to tame the damn thing. He thought he would have atleast a little bit of upperhand thanks to his nine million poisons body but it was simply wishful thinking.

In front of this poison his body was still nothing.

A poison strong enough to take out A ranks!

This was not something he could control. This was not something he could resist. One by one silver runes appeared on his body and with each rune a part of his body became sealed. It was as if that portion of his body existed and yet it did not exist at the same time.

Damon had never experienced a poison like this. Just how was one able to create a poison like this? He did not understand any of it but he did not have to.

With all his willpower he concentrated on the Nine Million Poison Body technique to get his body to adapt to the poison. It was effective to some extent but it did not give him the massive advantage he had hoped for. In fact, he was only able to endure so much thanks to the snake woman’s help. Otherwise, he would have probably experienced an instant death.

"Gotto work with what I have." Damon gritted his teeth and bore the pain as he looked around. The elf was almost down and the monk was also in a similar state. It would be nice if both of them went down quickly but he did not care about that right now.

His first and foremost target was still the huge abomination.

Damon’s gaze fell on the massive thing and immediately his lips curled upwards into a smile despite all the pain he was enduring. The damn thing was lit like a night sky!

Millions and millions of silver runes decorated its enormous tar-like body and it was going down faster than any of them.

"Everyone now!" Damon did not hesitate anymore. He needed to act now. Naturally, he was in no condition to attack anything. This is where Blood Reign came into play. As soon as he summoned her, a red silhoutte appeared near him.

"Blood Judgement!" Blood Reign’s sweet voice sounded and a massive scythe appeared in the sky. Shockingly, the size of the scythe started growing bigger and bigger. Damon, the elven prince and the monk, all three of them looked up dumbfounded as the scythe eventually became large enough to cleave the whole damn world!

Damon himself still did not have a good grasp on Blood Reign’s complete power. She never forced him to do anything and he never forced her to do anything. There was only a silent agreement between them. But to now witness her ability... it was simply mindboggling.

Blood Reign floated silently beside Damon, her red silhouette calm and composed, as if the monstrous construct above was nothing more than a natural extension of her will. "My liege," she said softly, her voice filled with quiet certainty, "this will end everything. You must be ready."

"Do it..." Damon barked out. His body was half-gone, his senses dulled in places where the silver runes had completely sealed him off, yet his eyes remained locked onto the collapsing devourer.

Blood Reign smiled faintly. "As you command."

The scythe moved. A scream tore through the battlefield. The scythe cut through the air, and the air split. It cut through the ground, and the ground separated. A massive crimson arc tore across everything in its path, stretching from one end of the world to the other, dividing existence into two clean halves.

The devourer’s enormous body, already riddled with silver runes, attempted to react, to absorb, to defend, to do anything but the scythe did not care. It simply passed through and the entire mass split apart instantly.

Its core was cleaved open, exposed completely as the upper half of its body began to slide away from the lower, both sides disintegrating as the poison within it erupted violently.

And finally, the blood essence buried deep inside the monstrous creature seeped out.

The blood essence which without a doubt held a fragment of the primordial bloodline!
