Maria watched the great and terrible Anya being drowned in affection against her will, and she understood.

Pasha was not a creature who could be leashed.

She was wild, unrestrained, utterly uncontainable—and her massive frame and monstrous strength meant that when she decided to hug you, there was no escape.

But then all of a sudden—

Pasha stopped.

Her nose twitched. She sniffed the air, her expression shifting from playful to alert.

And when she finally turned her head and caught sight of Mika who had made his presence known deliberately, her eyes sparkled like stars!

"MIKA!"

She released Anya, who collapsed to the ground in a heap, and launched herself at Mika with the force of a missile.

"MIKA!.MIKA! MIKA! PASHA FOUND YOU! PASHA ACTUALLY FOUND YOU!"

Maria tensed. She had seen what Pasha did to the sisters. Mika was about to be obliterated.

But Mika simply stood his ground and raised one hand as he said,

"Pasha...Stay."

Maria nearly laughed. There’s no way that’s going to work, she thought.

She’d just seen all three sisters fail. This towering, unstoppable force of nature wasn’t going to respond to a single word—

"Yes, Mika!"

Pasha froze mid-air and dropped to all fours. Her breasts, barely contained by her skimpy outfit hung heavy beneath her.

Her ass, round and perfect, stuck up in the air. The posture was primal. Submissive. Eager.

Maria’s mind went blank.

"Now roll over." Mika said.

Pasha rolled onto her back. Her belly was exposed and her tongue lolled out of her mouth.

She looked up at Mika with the adoring eyes of a creature who had found her master and would follow him to the ends of the earth.

"Again."

She rolled.

"Again."

She rolled again, completing a full circle on the ground, her tail wagging the entire time.

Maria stared in sheer disbelief. Her brain was struggling to reconcile what she was seeing.

The woman who had just manhandled three Battle Angel daughters like they were ragdolls was tolling on the ground because Mika told her to.

"How...are you doing that?" Maria managed.

"Hehe..." Mika glanced at her with a knowing smile. "You think that’s impressive? Watch this."

He turned back to Pasha. "Pasha. Fluffy Phoenix."

"Yes, Mika!" Pasha chirped, and with a small hop and a poof of light, she transformed.

When the flash faded, standing in her place was a tiny, absurdly fluffy bird—white fur with specks of red and orange like scattered embers, huge adorable eyes, and an undeniable phoenix-like fluffiness.

Maria was taken aback. "Did she just—"

But she didn’t get to finish as Mika was already onto the next command.

"Meepmop..."

Poof! The bird vanished. In its place sat a tiny, rounded frog with sandy-brown skin, star-like speckles across its back, and two miniature horns poking up from its head. It ribbited softly.

"Warblet..."

Poof! A small, translucent slime materialized on the ground, its gelatinous body containing a swirl of tiny, twinkling stars. It wobbled happily.

"Niberu..."

Poof! A hedgehog. A very round, very spiky hedgehog with golden quills and a happy expression.

Maria couldn’t keep up.

"Okay, let’s do something bigger. Pasha—turn into a Dread Maw."

Dread Maw.

Maria’s blood chilled. She’d taken the monster-classification courses at Solaris Academy and she knew that Dread Maw was no joke.

It was a massive, bear-like humanoid creature armored in living stone, with enormous crystals jutting from its back.

A full-blown SS-class entity. There were people with transformation blessings, sure, but the limits were always strict, always bounded. No one could transform into an SS-class creature.

No one except Pasha.

"Yes, Mika!"

Pasha’s form exploded with light, growing and growing and growing—rising until she towered over them like a five-story building.

When the light faded, a Dread Maw stood before them, huge and terrible: a monstrous bear of rock and fury, crystals gleaming on its back, a jaw full of fangs, and fierce golden eyes.

And yet, there was something graceful about it. A subtle feminine curve to the silhouette

"Is she...a shapeshifter?" Maria grabbed Mika’s arm, while staring at the abomination in awe. "Is her blessing about transformation? I guess if she can become an SS-Class being, then maybe having a SSS-Class blessing makes sense—"

But Mika immediately scoffed in offense.

"What are you talking about, Maria? Just because she can turn into a massive bear doesn’t mean she deserves the potential of a SSS-Class being. SSS-Class means you can alter the world to your favor on a whim. You’re basically a future demigod."

"Do you really think changing into a few animals qualifies?"

"Then what?!" Maria demanded. "What does she actually do?!"

Mika chuckled. "Pasha!" He called up at the feminine bear. "Would you mind summoning a few more?"

"Yes, Mika!" came the reply—hoarse and wild, but unmistakably happy.

She raised a massive paw and ortals began to open.

Whoosh!

Maria’s heart stopped. She knew those portals. Everyone knew those portals. Dark blue edges bleeding into pure black centers, ringed with white—the signature of an interdimensional rupture!

The kind of portal that had heralded the darkest days of the Eternal Queen’s reign.

Nine of them materialized in the night sky.

And from each one, a Dread Maw emerged!

Massive crystalline bears, each one as large as Pasha’s transformed form, stepped through the portals and onto the earth.

Boom! Boom!

The ground shook with every footfall. The air itself seemed to compress under their collective presence.

Maria’s breath caught. She was staring up Ten SS-Class entities that could each level a city!

Mika on the other hand enjoyed Maria’s reactions as it wasn’t often he got to see her genuinely surprised, before going on to explain,

"This is Pasha’s SSS-Class blessing...

[Mother of a Thousand Horrors]

"...She can communicate with animals, demons, and monsters—any entity that isn’t truly sentient, anything that runs on instinct. She can also transform into them: fully, and more powerfully than their base form. Or she can transform part of her body—one animal here, another there—and create her own chimera to crush her opponents."

He watched her reaction with amusement.

"But it doesn’t stop there. She can command any demonic or monstrous force around her. If the Eternal Queen herself rose again tomorrow and sent every corrupted monster she ever spawned against us, I’m confident Pasha could take control of them and send them straight back."

Maria’s mind reeled. During the war, the Eternal Queen’s monster armies had been one of humanity’s greatest threats.

Millions had died fighting creatures that couldn’t be reasoned with or negotiated with. If Pasha had been there back then...

"She can also summon all manner of demonic beings and abominations from other worlds, all on her own." Mika finished. "As her blessing’s name suggests—she’s the Mother of All Monsters. A queen. Everything monstrous obeys her."

Maria stared at the ten Dread Maws bowing their heads in quiet submission, as if they recognized their sovereign.

Not just destructive potential, she realized. Pasha was a shield. A guardian who could pacify outbreaks, seal wounds in reality, keep the peace.

Her blessing had probably saved more lives and more potential lives than any single power in the world!
