SSS Doomsday Guide in the Apocalypse

For sixty seven years, the remnants of humanity have cowered behind the walls of Sealed Cities, watching their numbers dwindle due to the relentless apocalypse.

Their only hope lies in the annual Expeditions of desperate, suicidal missions sent into the poison choked wastelands of the apocalypse to find the Source or a clue to ending the apocalypse.

To survive, Expedition members must gamble with their very humanity. By devouring the cores of apocalyptic monsters, they trigger volatile, superhuman mutations, but the power comes with a terrifying cost, if your body can't handle the mutation, you become one of the monsters yourself.

Gio refuses to spend his final days waiting for a quiet death. So he volunteers for Expedition 67, joining a doomed squad of discarded citizens. But when Gio swallows his core, he doesn't awaken a standard superpower mutation like the rest of humanity.

Granted a mysterious Guide interface complete with quests, a shop, and a hidden overarching goal, Gio breaks all the rules of their broken world as he starts out with a humble ability [Command (E-Rank)] allowing him to control insects and small creatures, but the potential for growth is limitless.

Armed with his new System and abilities, Gio marches into the unknown alongside Mel, a girl violently determined to choose her own future, and a band of outcasts carrying their own heavy regrets. Together, they face impossible landscapes, remnants of old world, and nightmarish creatures born of the apocalypse.

But as Expedition 67 pushes deeper into the ruins of Earth, they begin to uncover a terrifying truth.
