Chapter 41: Chapter 41: Selling the Materials! 570 Million Gold Coins Received!

Every staff member in the Task Hall stopped what they were doing.

The professionals waiting to submit their own tasks froze as well.

All eyes were fixed on the enormous mountain of materials occupying the open floor.

For several seconds, nobody seemed capable of understanding what they were seeing.

"What is that?"

"Did someone move an entire dungeon warehouse into the hall?"

Nathaniel Beaumont looked at the still-stunned staff member.

"Please call in some additional staff."

He glanced at the mountain of loot.

"Finish verifying everything within half an hour. Then transfer the payment to my account."

The staff member finally snapped out of his daze.

"Y-Yes! Right away!"

He hurriedly pressed the internal emergency assistance button.

Within moments, more than a dozen staff members rushed into the hall.

They arrived ready to help with some urgent administrative task.

Then they saw the mountain of materials.

Every single one of them stopped.

Their expressions were almost identical.

What in the world is this?

The pile contained countless monster parts, crystal cores, ores, and other valuable resources. Some of the materials were so rare that the staff had only seen them in acquisition records or specialized storage facilities.

And now, one young man had dumped all of them onto the floor.

Nathaniel didn’t stay to watch them recover.

He had already submitted his acquisition contracts. While the Professional Center staff handled verification, he still needed to sell the remaining materials.

Time was running out.

He turned and walked toward the exit.

Only after his figure disappeared through the doorway did the silence finally break.

BOOM!

The Task Hall erupted.

"Holy crap! What was that?!"

"That really was a mountain of materials!"

"How many acquisition contracts did that guy just submit?"

"I saw the number on the screen. More than three thousand!"

"Three thousand?! Is he insane?"

"Those materials came from Level 90 and above Hell-Difficulty dungeons, didn’t they? I even spotted a Crimson Blood Mother Empress Core!"

"That thing is incredibly rare! Some teams spend days trying to get one!"

"How did he collect so many materials in such a short time?"

"Who exactly is that guy?"

"When did Westmere get someone like him?"

The questions came one after another.

Nobody had a satisfactory answer.

Meanwhile, Nathaniel had already boarded a hovercar and was heading toward the Beaumont Trading Consortium’s material acquisition division.

There was no reason to send his business elsewhere when his own family’s consortium could handle the transaction.

Inside the vehicle, he leaned back and closed his eyes.

The city passed outside the window, its streets crowded with morning traffic.

After nearly twenty-four hours of continuous dungeon grinding, his mind was exhausted.

His body could still function, but every additional task demanded an effort he could feel growing heavier by the minute.

Even so, he couldn’t afford to stop.

He had to finish converting his loot into money before the advancement trial’s deadline.

Only then could he finally rest.

Soon, the hovercar stopped outside a large material acquisition store operated by the Beaumont Trading Consortium.

The building was imposing, with broad glass entrances and the consortium’s emblem displayed prominently above the doors.

Nathaniel stepped out and walked straight inside.

...

Beaumont Trading Consortium, Material Acquisition Division

Several clerks were organizing the day’s acquisition records when Nathaniel entered.

A young employee immediately approached him with a professional smile.

"Good morning. Are you here to sell materials, or would you like to—"

He suddenly stopped speaking.

Recognition flashed across his face.

Nathaniel Beaumont.

As an employee of the Beaumont Trading Consortium, he had naturally seen photographs of the young heir. Over the past several days, news about Nathaniel’s astonishing dungeon-clearing achievements had spread throughout the consortium.

The situation surrounding the founders’ disappearance and the struggle for control had also made Nathaniel’s name impossible to ignore.

The clerk quickly straightened and lowered his head.

"Y-Young Master!"

He hesitated.

"May I ask what brings you here today?"

Nathaniel didn’t waste time with formalities.

"I’m selling materials."

The clerk blinked.

"Selling materials?"

"Quite a large quantity."

The employee immediately recovered his professional manner.

"Of course, Young Master. Please follow me to the storage area. We’ll arrange an appraisal right away."

He didn’t know why Nathaniel had suddenly decided to sell materials, but that wasn’t his concern.

The consortium was in the business of acquiring valuable resources.

And the person standing before him was its heir.

There was no reason to make things difficult.

The clerk led Nathaniel through the main building and into the rear storage area.

The space was enormous, with appraisal formations carved into the floor. Specialized equipment stood along the walls, ready to weigh, classify, and evaluate everything from ordinary monster components to rare dungeon cores.

The clerk reached for a registration form.

"Young Master, please tell me what categories of materials—"

Nathaniel raised his hand.

BOOM!

A torrent of materials appeared out of thin air.

Crystal cores struck the floor.

Monster horns and bone spurs tumbled into heaps.

Ores, equipment, medicinal herbs, poisonous sacs, and boss materials piled on top of one another.

More and more items emerged from his storage space.

The rumbling continued.

Within moments, nearly a third of the storage area was occupied by the enormous collection.

Several clerks stood frozen in place.

One stared at the mountain of materials.

Another looked at Nathaniel.

A third looked back at the mountain, apparently hoping it would somehow become smaller if he checked twice.

Finally, someone managed to speak.

"T-This..."

The young clerk swallowed.

"Young Master, are all these materials for sale?"

Nathaniel nodded.

"Every bit of it."

The clerk nearly forgot to breathe.

He had worked in material acquisition for years and had served plenty of wealthy customers.

Large adventure groups occasionally sold enough resources to fill half a warehouse.

But those groups consisted of dozens, sometimes hundreds, of professionals working together.

Nathaniel had arrived alone.

And the quality of the materials was extraordinary.

Many were clearly obtained from Level 90 to Level 100 Hell-Difficulty dungeons. Some were so rare that the consortium regularly posted acquisition contracts for them without receiving enough supplies.

Now, Nathaniel had brought in an enormous stockpile in a single visit.

The clerk immediately grabbed his communicator.

"Manager! We need you in the rear storage area immediately!"

He glanced at the mountain of loot.

"And bring every available appraiser!"

...

Within minutes, the entire back section of the store was in an uproar.

Appraisers gathered around the materials, activating their instruments and inspecting individual items.

Beams of light swept across crystal cores.

Scanners examined the integrity of monster components.

Specialized devices measured energy density and identified the origins of rare resources.

Voices rang out from every corner.

"Blackstone Magic Crystal! High purity!"

"Molten Iron Beast Horn! Confirmed Hell-Difficulty origin!"

"Shadow Knight Core! Energy integrity is excellent!"

"These medicinal herbs are in remarkable condition!"

"Whoever collected these must have cleared an astonishing number of dungeons!"

The store manager hurried from one pile to another, checking the appraisers’ results while wiping sweat from his forehead.

Ten minutes later, the appraisal was complete.

He approached Nathaniel with a tablet in his hands.

"Young Master, we’ve finished evaluating the entire batch."

He took a breath before continuing.

"Based on current market prices, the total purchase value comes to approximately three hundred and fifty million gold coins."

Nathaniel’s eyes brightened.

Three hundred and fifty million.

That was a substantial amount.

He had already submitted more than three thousand acquisition contracts at Westmere Professional Center. Once those contracts were verified, the payment from the Professional Center should add another considerable sum.

Together, the two transactions might be enough to exceed the five-hundred-million requirement.

For the first time in hours, Nathaniel felt the tension in his chest loosen slightly.

"Can you settle the entire amount in one transaction?"

"Absolutely!" the store manager replied without hesitation.

"These are high-level materials that the consortium urgently needs. Given the quality and quantity, we’re happy to prioritize the purchase."

He paused, then added respectfully, "And since you’re selling these materials to your own consortium, I’ll make sure the payment is processed immediately."

Nathaniel nodded.

"Then proceed."

The manager immediately instructed the finance department to complete the transfer.

A few minutes later, Nathaniel’s communication panel vibrated.

[Payment Received: 350,000,000 Gold Coins]

He glanced at the notification.

Three hundred and fifty million gold coins.

One transaction completed.

Just then, another notification appeared.

This time, it came from Westmere Professional Center.

[Task Verification Completed]

[Payment Received: 227,639,000 Gold Coins]

Nathaniel’s eyes narrowed slightly as he checked the figures.

The two payments combined amounted to five hundred and seventy-seven million six hundred and thirty-nine thousand gold coins.

He had surpassed the required amount.

Not by a narrow margin, either.

He had earned more than seventy-seven million gold coins above the five-hundred-million threshold.

Nathaniel exhaled slowly.

The Class Advancement Crystal’s requirement was explicit. He had to generate the value himself, without relying on existing assets, gifts, or financial assistance.

He hadn’t borrowed money.

He hadn’t accepted a donation.

He hadn’t asked anyone to fund his advancement.

Every coin had come from the materials and equipment recovered by his own efforts and those of his Shadow Army.

He had entered dungeons, defeated monsters, collected their drops, and sold the resulting materials.

The entire process had been carried out under the rules of his advancement trial.

Nathaniel closed the payment notifications.

His eyes still showed traces of exhaustion, but beneath it lay a sharp, satisfied glint.

"Let’s go."

The store manager and clerks watched as he turned toward the exit.

Nobody attempted to stop him.

Only after Nathaniel had disappeared did one employee finally recover enough to speak.

"Manager... shouldn’t we report this?"

The manager turned toward him.

"Of course we should!"

He gestured toward the empty space where the materials had been stacked.

"The Young Master just sold three hundred and fifty million gold coins’ worth of resources in one transaction! This isn’t an ordinary sale!"

He immediately contacted the relevant department at Beaumont Trading Consortium headquarters.

The news spread rapidly through the consortium’s internal channels.

...

Beaumont Trading Consortium Headquarters

The top-floor conference hall was already occupied.

Department Head Colin Whitmore, Chief Financial Officer Victoria Shaw, Security Head Marcus Reed, and several other senior executives had gathered around the long conference table.

Dozens of additional executives were present, along with senior professionals from the consortium’s security division.

The atmosphere was tense.

At one side of the hall sat four professionals whose presence attracted particular attention.

All four were around Level 200.

Their auras were steady, and their expressions were cold. They had been brought in as the executives’ strongest guarantee that the meeting would end in their favor.

For the past several days, the senior executives had been preparing to consolidate their control over the consortium.

With Nathaniel’s parents missing, the founders’ authority had become the central issue dividing the organization.

The executives intended to use the uncertainty to their advantage.

And they had prepared their security personnel to ensure that nobody could easily challenge them.

Colin Whitmore glanced at the conference room doors.

"Has Nathaniel arrived yet?"

"No," someone answered.

Victoria Shaw folded her hands on the table.

"Then we wait a little longer."

Marcus Reed leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable.

The four Level 200 professionals remained silent.

They had no interest in the politics of the consortium.

They had been hired to provide strength, and they expected their presence to settle the matter.

The executives exchanged glances.

None of them knew that Nathaniel had just earned enough gold coins to satisfy the Class Advancement Crystal’s requirement.

Nor did they know that the young man they were preparing to confront had spent the entire night building an army of shadows and clearing dungeons on a scale they could scarcely imagine.

They were waiting for Nathaniel Beaumont to walk through those doors.

And they were confident that, once he arrived, control of the Beaumont Trading Consortium would finally fall into their hands.
