Chapter 81 | Making Monica A Godscion!

Chapter 81: 81 | Making Monica A Godscion!

"I am... Almighty Elon."

The instant those words left his mouth, Monica’s expression shifted. Her pupils shrank. She dropped to one knee without hesitation and bowed her head deeply.

"Greetings, Almighty Elon..." Her heart hammered.

She knew what this meant. In this world, when a divine being appeared in someone’s mind, it usually meant one of a few things. A warning, a blessing, or a chance to become a Godscion. This being wasn’t ordinary. It had to be at least a Saint... a Demigod... maybe even a real God.

Monica’s breathing grew uneven. Nervous thoughts flooded her. Had she angered one of his followers? Broken some taboo?

She lifted her head a little, voice trembling. "M-May I know... have I offended one of your Godscions, my lord?"

Andrew shook his head calmly. "No."

The single word carried divine weight.

Then he looked right at her and asked, "Tell me, Monica... would you like to become one of my Godscions?"

Monica went completely still.

Of course she had dreamed of a god’s favor. Every Ultra did. But reality was harsh. Her talent was Elasticity, a strange and uncommon ability. Gods usually wanted powerful elemental talents—fire, ice, lightning, wind, darkness, destruction. Rare mutations were prized. But Elasticity? There was no known divine path for it. Even if she was a B-Rank Ultra, she’d accepted that no god would ever choose her.

But now... a real divine being stood before her, asking.

Her lips trembled. Then she nodded over and over. "Yes...! I accept!"

Andrew smiled faintly behind the light. "Good."

As he spoke, a brilliant divine flame burst from his right arm. The flame twisted in the air and condensed into a detailed, glowing sigil covered in strange godly symbols.

Monica watched, stunned. Then the sigil shot forward and struck her forehead.

The moment it entered her, a system notification appeared before her eyes.

[You have received a Divine Invitation.]

[Would you like to become the Godscion of Almighty Elon?]

Without a second thought—Accept.

At almost the same time, a notification appeared for Andrew.

[Congratulations.]

[You have successfully acquired your first Godscion.]

A panel unfolded before him.

[Godscion Information]

Name: Monica Aurelia Vesper

Level: 5

Talent: Elasticity

Status: Alive

Below that were several newly unlocked divine abilities.

[Available Divine Functions]

— Revive

— Restore

— Summon

— Teleport

Andrew checked the cost beside each one. His eyes widened.

"...What the hell?"

The prices were crazy.

Revive — 10 Super Mana Chips

Teleport — 10 Super Mana Chips

Restore — 5 Super Mana Chips

Summon — 1 Super Mana Chip

Andrew almost cursed out loud. Mana chips were insanely expensive. One hundred ordinary chips equaled one medium chip. One hundred medium chips equaled one super chip. A single super mana chip was worth so much that the whole city of Maryland probably couldn’t produce one easily. And these abilities demanded them like they were nothing. One revival cost ten. Teleport cost ten. Even basic restore cost five.

He instinctively thought of the gift from the Goddess of Reversal.

He had about a hundred super mana chips. At first, he’d had zero intention of wasting such absurdly valuable resources on anyone else.

He should save them for himself. But after a moment, his expression softened. Monica was different. She was someone close to him. If she ever stood on the edge of death and he could save her, he’d never forgive himself for holding back. So he accepted it quietly.

Meanwhile, Monica’s face glowed with joy. She could feel the divine contract settling into her soul. Her body shook with happiness. She bowed again and again. "Thank you, Almighty Elon! Thank you!"

Andrew raised a hand. "There is no need."

At his command, the mist around them moved. Clouds wrapped gently around Monica and lifted her upright. She gasped. That single display wiped away any last doubt. This being was truly a God.

Then, as if remembering something important, Monica hesitated and spoke nervously. "My lord... may I ask for one thing?"

Andrew nodded. "Speak."

Monica clasped her hands. "There is... someone important to me. A close friend."

Andrew nearly laughed inside. He already knew exactly who she meant. Still, he stayed quiet.

Monica went on, voice anxious. "Can you... perhaps allow him to become one of your Godscions as well?"

Andrew smiled beneath the light, then answered calmly. "No."

Monica’s face fell. But before disappointment could settle, Andrew spoke again.

"I cannot make him my Godscion..." He paused on purpose. "Because he already belongs to another God. He is already a Godscion."

Her eyes widened with excitement. "Oh..." A bright smile spread across her face. "I understand. Thank you, my lord."

Andrew simply waved his hand. Instantly, her body dissolved into particles of light. Her consciousness returned to Earth.

Silence filled the heavenly realm. Andrew let out a soft breath. He was about to cancel the ability and leave when his whole body locked up.

Far away, at the very edge of the mist-covered divine realm, he saw a figure. Standing there. Watching.

Andrew’s expression changed in an instant. His heart skipped. But after watching for a moment, he realized something important.

The figure couldn’t see through the mist around the core of his domain. The outer divine fog acted like a natural barrier.

Then the mysterious figure laughed. A strange, ancient voice echoed through the heavens. "Hahaha..."

Andrew stayed perfectly still, his face pale as he clenched his fist. Right now, he was truly afraid.

The voice continued. "Can I ask which divine is here?"

Another laugh. "I was merely passing nearby when I sensed this divine domain suddenly appear."

The voice suddenly pause. "Hm... this aura..."

Then they began to stepped closer to the realm. "This seems like a rather weak divine domain..."

Suddenly the person said in amusement.

"Oh? Are you a New God?"

Andrew’s pupils shrank.

The voice immediately laughed loudly as if they knew they were right.

"It has been centuries since we have seen a newly ascended deity..." The figure raised its voice. "Come now. Reveal yourself. Let us see your true appearance."
