“Then what about that dumb tiger?” Yuan Shuo smiled.

“It’s next to me. I’ll create some presence of disorder for teacher, that might ensure the tiger’s ignorance that we’ve swapped places. It may not dare do anything even if it does. If worst comes to worst... let it go.

“Ah, it likes to study supernatural characters, so teacher can fish some out for it to play with, like a cat’s toy.”

“......” Yuan Shuo didn’t know what to say to his disciple. Do you think that massive beast is a cat? That’s a seventh rank chaos beast! Do you really think it’s an idiot??

“There’s no need for that, I know what to do. Are you heading to Chaos Sky major world now?”

“Yep, things might change if I delay too much. Of course, it’s best if I can do something before I go...” Li Hao laughed and offered a few reminders before quickly departing.

Yuan Shuo naturally went off to look for Skyflight. Who cared if the tiger recognized the human was different or not!

Li Hao was exceedingly fast, and he didn’t make his way straight to the west. Instead, he took the long way around, just in case he really did run into Chaos Sky along the way. That would spell a most unsatisfactory end to his plan.

I want to sit by and watch tigers fight, not become one of the tigers myself.

“Chaos Sky, Order...”

Perhaps he would be able to comprehend the dao of order on this trip to the west. That was the core of his fifth set of one thousand worlds.

Li Hao had wanted to visit prior to this, but also wished to collect enough energy from Five Elements to saturate five thousand of his worlds. This was even better, he might gain even more now.

“Chaos Sky is a prudent individual, so he might have left behind a lot of powerhouses at Chaos Sky Region. It would be normal if some of them have more than five thousand dao rules! But he won’t have left too many trump cards behind since he wants to kill Disorder...”

The key question was, how would he slip into Chaos Sky Region without being discovered?

Someone who cultivated the dao of order might have become one with his region. The entire territory might be a domain for his will. Any intruder would stick out like a sore thumb.

“Order...” Li Hao contemplated the dao of order as he flew. Order was a type of dao rule, but order wasn’t all rules. Chaos Sky’s absence was his chance. If the man was present, it’d be almost impossible to slip inside without being discovered.

All would be known once he arrived.

The west was the most mysterious region with the heaviest guard around. Chaos Sky had expanded his dominion step by step. He didn’t rule over his territory haphazardly, like the other overlords did. His was a true dynasty that had unified his domain!

As Li Hao rushed toward Chaos Sky Region.

Five Elements major world.

Disorder had arrived and curled his lip when he took stock of the great dao around the world. It wasn’t as dense or strong as he’d anticipated. It looked like they’d consumed a great deal of it!

He’d wanted to absorb some dao strength to help his recovery. Did they expend their dao strength in previous battles, or are they putting on an act of being poor because they know i’m coming?

He lacked Li Hao’s caution and alertness because he knew what the situation was, so there was no need for him to probe cautiously at anything. Disorder outright barged into Five Element territory.

The eight eighth ranks inside the world immediately sensed the intrusion and were surprised by the sudden return. The ninth rank hadn’t been gone for long! Here he was, back again. And judging from the situation... he wanted to meet this time?

They quickly took to the air, not daring to hesitate.

Near the world gates.

Eight eighth ranks quickly appeared. A surge of disorder appeared, as did a man with indistinct features.

“Greetings to the Venerated Disorder master!” The eight quickly inclined their bodies.

“So you’ve received word?” Disorder inclined his head.

The eight exchanged puzzled glances, what word?

“Didn’t the dao master of the five elements and Skyward say anything?” Disorder raised a brow.

“Ah, ah yes,” Skymetal quickly replied. “We are to follow the venerated one’s commands in all things!”

“Good.” Disorder nodded again. “How many dao crystals does Five Elements have at its disposal, after so many years of dominating the north?”

“......” Skymetal was immensely reluctant to respond. You just absorbed a ton, but you’re back again! But there was no helping it. “We have some left, but not much. The venerated one is aware too that we just consumed a lot...”

Disorder snorted with laughter, but didn’t say anything. Yep, sure, you had your asses handed to you. So you depleted your reserves for your injuries? Are you trying to explain your impoverished situation to me?

“How many do you have left?!”

“Ah... just one million at most!”

Disorder frowned. That was less than expected, but... it would do. Barely.

“Fine, give them to me!”

Skymetal couldn’t protest the ninth rank’s immense appetite, no matter how pained he was by the notion.

“I’ve discovered traces of the Nine Layer Guard,” said Disorder. “Do you know what they are?”

“We do... we’ve heard of them.”

“That’s good, that means Order is not too far away!” intoned Disorder. “There must be a connection between Order and Chaos Sky! My identity has been exposed, so we must pull them up by the roots!

“There is an unknown number of guards with unknown strength. The other dao masters must have notified their people of my arrival. They might be on their way here. I will gather them to execute Chaos Sky!

“I will be staying in Five Elements major world over the next couple of days, you guys can do something for me...”

“Please speak of it, venerated one!” the others chorused.

“Create confusion and mayhem, send the northern region into turmoil,” Disorder said after a period of silence. “The more turmoil there is, the stronger I become. Order must not be constructed!

“All of you will mobilize to eliminate some eighth and seventh rank worlds. Of course, this is not good for Five Elements’ rule, but once the north falls and order is reconstructed, we will all die!

“Seize as many dao crystals and as much world strength as you can for my recovery! I need corpses and spirit. You all know too that the more people that die, the more spirit there is. That will also be beneficial for the return of your own dao masters!”

The three Five Element overlords hesitated. So they were to let the north dissolve into pandemonium? Then their many years of rule...

However, Metal Spirit set his jaw and nodded, “Very well!” He wanted to ask where Disorder’s replica had gone, but decided to set aside the question. An answer might not be forthcoming and he’d offend the ninth rank with the question.

An eighth rank questioning a ninth rank could be a sign of disrespect, after all.

The eighth ranks didn’t dare say anything else. Creating confusion and mayhem, was it? That was easy!

Constructing order was hard, but creating disorder was much easier. They just needed to kill some people and annihilate some worlds for that to naturally develop.

Five Elements major world soon mobilized, leaving behind Disorder in residence to absorb dao strength. He was irritated by the amount available—it was so much less than what he’d anticipated. How were the Five Elements a regional overlord with this pathetic showing?

This was crap! They were only a bit richer than regular eighth rank worlds!

They’d wasted all their years of dominance! If this was all they amounted to, then no wonder they’d nearly been forgotten when everyone was involved with Skyward’s descension last time.

Skymetal and the others muttered under their breath when they departed. How damned greedy!

He already devoured a ton of dao crystals when he first came, now he’s cleaning house! And he looks annoyed with how much he’s gotten! Ninth ranks are so greedy that it’s no wonder the chaos doesn’t suffer their existence!

If they’d remained in the chaos for one million years, they probably would’ve emptied out the universe!

On the other side.

Chaos Sky hovered in the void, quickly joined by an excited shadow.

“I’m certain, dao master, that was Disorder’s primary body! He’s headed to Five Elements major world and there seems to be other powerhouses entering the northern region. It might be the subordinates of other ninth ranks. Chaos Sky has discovered me, so... he might know that the dao master is coming.”

Chaos Sky nodded slightly and looked in the direction of Five Elements. It didn’t matter that his adversary knew about his arrival!

I don’t want too many people to know what I’m doing, which is also Disorder’s attitude. Everyone else would be very interested in the return of a ninth rank. So if I don’t say anything and Disorder doesn’t say anything, then this will be a war between just the two of us.

“Prepare to attack Disorder!” Chaos Sky commanded. “Make all preparations first and wait for the others to gather. I’m going to take them all in one fell swoop! They’re gravely wrong if they think that there’s only me in Chaos Sky major world.

“Summon the Nine Layer Guard! Vengeance will start with Disorder!”

“Understood!” the shadow responded with high spirits. “I’ll assemble them straight away. And... do we need to build disorder?

“There’s no rush.” Chaos Sky smiled. “Disorder will create confusion first to enhance his strength. Order and disorder have always opposed each other, but there’s one thing he doesn’t get... and that’s building order within disorder is the real order! There is no construction without deconstruction!”

No construction without deconstruction!

The north was too rotten, so Disorder could be allowed to break the corrupted order of the region. That would make space for Chaos Sky to build a new order and save a lot of trouble in the process.

Only then could he build the strongest order!

He would eradicate all filth and trash at the same time!

It’s not convenient for me to do so right now. Disorder undertaking that is quite convenient. So what if he recovers some of his strength in the process?

The current chaos cannot support a premier ninth rank. All that will happen is the recovery of a bit more spirit.

The north shifted uneasily, whereas the west was incredibly quiet. It almost seemed at odds with the chaos.

Li Hao stiffened with surprise when he crossed the border into the western region. He’d thought that the differences between it and the rest of the chaos wouldn’t be that great. That assumption was proven greatly erroneous.

There... seemed to be some light in the western region. It wasn’t as gloomy as the other three regions. There were a lot of people here and it didn’t give off the same air of decline as the other three.

The nine layers were very clearly demarcated here. Contrary to the other regions, there was a tangible barrier between each layer. It wasn’t just a border of particularly dense chaos strength between them!

Minor worlds were in the lower third layer, mid worlds in the mid third, and major worlds in the upper third. Everything was in its proper place and order!

There was more than just the presence of order here, there was even a military. It was Li Hao’s first time seeing standard issue armor and military equipment in the chaos.

Each layer was safeguarded by a massive army to prevent intruders!

The entire west was... perfectly organized.
