Starting from a Magical Girl, Dominating Eternity
Chapter 793 - 247: One-Punch Romance Master
"Big bro, I’m back."
"Get to your homework as soon as you return."
"...Already finished."
"Preview the content for next semester."
"Ugh, it’s endless learning..."
Keke muttered softly, but wasn’t really angry, feeling happy just to see her brother home.
Happier than anything.
"In a bit, I’m hungry."
"Order delivery."
"No, I bought some North China’s specialties, also some things sent by the Headquarter, how about we cook them?"
"You cook them yourself."
"Help me out..."
Eventually, Keke rolled around on the bed pleading continuously, and Jiang Si finally came out from the room.
Keke habitually turned on the TV, letting the news play as background sound, then took out the specialties she brought from North China.
"This Golden Phoenix Roast Chicken, they say it’s super delicious and needs to be heated, and there’s also the Lou Zhu Pancake and these dishes, steak..."
Jiang Si somewhat suspected she had gone to the Headquarter for shopping.
"Weren’t you there for exchange learning? Spending so much buying groceries?"
"Well, the local specialties are really cheap, so I bought a bit more, anyway no one said..."
Keke scratched her head, "Besides, I’ve got the Domain, and learned a little resonance technique."
"What resonance?"
"It’s about creating resonance with the Magic Power of other Magical Girls, called Star Trace Resonance. Though I don’t understand it well, it’s actually not hard to operate, much simpler than Teacher Zi Yuan’s courses..."
The sibling chatted while tidying up, picking and washing vegetables in the kitchen, boiling water preparing to cook a meal.
"Oh right, big bro, on my way back, there was a really strange girl standing at the intersection."
While peeling garlic and assisting her brother, Keke said, "I heard from the neighbors, she’s been standing there for a few days, carrying a bunch of bags, have you seen her?"
Jiang Si only lit the fire under the pot: "No."
"Have you not gone out for a run these past few days?"
"No."
"Alright then..." Keke finished peeling the garlic, cut some scallion and ginger slices, then looked out the window, "Seems like the rain is getting heavier today."
Wiping her hands, Keke couldn’t help but worry, "If she’s still standing out there, she’ll catch cold, right?"
"She should have left by now."
"I’ll go check."
Keke said this as she went over, dressed up, grabbed an umbrella, and dashed into the rain.
Jiang Si followed to the door.
He watched as Keke made a quick run to the somewhat distant intersection.
The transparent, ethereal girl was still standing there, holding the clothes she’d previously purchased without moving.
Keke held the umbrella, speaking quietly beside her for quite a while, trying to give her the umbrella, but the girl just shook her head.
Keke stayed there, shielding her with the umbrella, continuously saying something with a troubled and worried expression.
The girl remained silent, refused to speak or accept the umbrella from her, leaving Keke unsure whether to go back and tell her brother, but knowing he probably wouldn’t care, feeling a bit tangled...
Then suddenly, Bai Hu seemed to notice something, finally reaching out to take the umbrella from Keke’s hand, and uttered softly:
"Thank you."
Keke was startled for a moment, but still said with slight concern, "You should go home soon."
The girl then fell silent again.
Feeling a bit helpless, Keke jogged back home, looked at her brother, "It seems she can’t go home, big bro, just leaving her there isn’t right, is it?"
"Don’t bother with her."
"How can I not care, leaving her like that will definitely make her catch cold tomorrow, what if she gets sick? Haven’t the police been here before? That’s odd, I’ll call Yiyi and ask..."
Seeing Keke determined to help her no matter what, Jiang Si sighed, "I’ll go talk to her."
"Huh?" Keke was shocked, pinched her brother’s cheek, "Are you okay? Have a fever? How come, my big bro would never do that..."
"Then don’t bother."
"I’m kidding, just go, give it a try, big bro?"
So, Jiang Si went over.
The girl, who had been unresponsive, finally raised her head to look at Jiang Si; soaked, she lifted her head, face wet with rain, her lips colorless and cold, pale, shivering as the wind blew.
Rainwater trickled down her eyelashes into her eyes, but she didn’t blink.
Her exquisite features blurred in the rain, her wet hair sticking to her forehead and cheeks in strands, looking messy but not ugly, instead having an enthralling chaotic beauty.
When looking at Jiang Si, the girl’s white, transparent, hollow pupils showed slight color changes.
"Get out."
The girl instinctively was about to squat down and lie on the ground, to start rolling.
But halfway through, she suddenly stopped, holding the umbrella, quietly staring at the young man.
Jiang Si merely watched her: "Why don’t you do it?"
Bai Hu’s lips moved, "The clothes, will get dirty, sir."
"Is that all?"
A long silence, then Bai Hu slowly got up, "I, don’t want to roll."
"Why not?"
"I..." The girl clutched her chest tightly, "I don’t know."
"Then roll."
A faint hint of magic started to disperse.
She closed the umbrella then put down her bag containing clothes.
"Sir."
With that said, she quickly raised her foot, a sharp high kick aimed straight for Jiang Si’s forehead!
Keke was shocked watching, immediately wanting to rush over, only to see her brother casually throw a punch back, causing the girl’s calf to snap like a twig, making her kneel in the mud.
The expensive clothes now filthy.
Jiang Si squatted down, looking down at her, "What are you doing?"
"I want to attack you, sir."
"Why?"
"The body, moved on its own," the girl’s pale, transparent eyes showed some fluctuation, "I couldn’t resist the impulse."
"That’s called anger, remember that feeling."
Jiang Si picked up the umbrella, stood up, "Come with me."
Keke watched as the previously unapproachable girl now followed Jiang Si limping hurriedly.
Leaving Keke momentarily stunned.
What’s going on, how did big bro fix it just like that?
With just one punch, she obediently followed home...
Could it be, my brother really is a lover extraordinaire?
