Chapter 382: Grand Celestia Mall [Bonus Chapter]

Silas occupied the front passenger seat.

He had finally changed into clean comfortable clothes... a well-fitted dark charcoal Henley shirt that accentuated his wide shoulders, dark denim trousers, and clean boots.

He leaned back against the headrest, staring blankly through the windshield with his mind actively questioning every single life choice that had led him to this exact moment.

Harper cleared her throat, tapping her fingers against the steering wheel to break the thick awkward silence.

She glanced sideways at Silas, her tone softening into a warm curious lilt.

"So, Silas..." Harper asked, a small genuine smile touching her lips. "Have you ever actually been on a proper date before?"

Silas turned his head slightly, raising an eyebrow.

"A date? No. I spent the last few years hauling rusted scrap in Sector 4 just to afford some stuff. I didn’t exactly have the disposable income or the free time to take girls out to fancy restaurants."

Hearing his answer, Harper’s violet eyes lit up with uncontainable joy.

’He’s never been on a date!’ Harper celebrated internally with a massive grin spreading across her face. ’I’m his very first date! That means everything we do today will be his first romantic memory!’

"I’m really glad to hear that," Harper beamed aloud, her energy instantly rebounding to its usual hyperactive state. "Because I did a ton of research last night! I watched this amazing ten-part viral guide on LordTube created by the city’s top lifestyle influencers... It laid out the ultimate, step-by-step itinerary for a high-tier romantic outing!"

Seraphina let out a loud disdainful scoff from the back seat.

"LordTube influencers. How exquisitely common. You are basing an entire social engagement on the algorithmic drivel of unawakened content creators."

"Shut up, Seraphina! Nobody asked you!" Harper snapped through the rearview mirror, before turning right back to Silas with an eager grin. "Ignore her. The guide is foolproof! It optimizes dopamine release, builds emotional vulnerability, and creates lasting memories through shared luxury experiences!"

Silas narrowed his eyes, a sudden suspicious feeling prickling at the back of his neck.

"Harper," Silas interrupted with his voice turning cautious. "What exactly is the first event on this ’foolproof’ itinerary?"

Harper puffed out her chest proudly, taking a sharp turn onto the prestigious Grand Aurelius Boulevard.

"The first phase is mass luxury shopping at the Grand Celestia Mall!" Harper announced with absolute glee. "We are going to give you a complete top-to-bottom high-society makeover!"

Silas nearly choked on his own saliva. He coughed, turning his head violently toward her. "Mass shopping? At the Grand Celestia?!"

"Yep!" Harper chirped, completely oblivious to his mounting horror. "And don’t worry about crowds or paparazzi, Silas! I pulled some strings through my corporate accounts and rented out the entire top-tier VIP couture floor for the next three hours! It’s completely private! Just us, the stylists, and unlimited clothes!"

Silas slowly pressed his palms against his face, letting out a muffled agonized groan.

’What did I do in my past life to deserve this?’ Silas lamented in the dark confines of his own mind. ’I know I asked for a slice of life but still... this isn’t how I wanted it to go... Now I am being dragged into an empty shopping mall by two billionaire heiresses to play dress-up.’

Before he could formulate a polite retreat, the sports coupe smoothly glided into the private VIP entrance of the Grand Celestia Mall.

The Grand Celestia was not a standard commercial shopping center.

Located in the hyper-exclusive Platinum Ward of Valoria City, it was a colossal architectural marvel constructed from white marble, imported elven crystal, and reinforced adamantine glass.

It was a facility built exclusively for the planetary elite... high-ranking directors, multi-millionaire guild masters, and sovereign nobility.

Standard citizens from the lower sectors weren’t even permitted past the perimeter security barriers without a verified eight-figure bank ledger.

Silas stepped out of the vehicle with his boots hitting the polished marble floor of the private underground valet bay.

He paused, his golden-ringed eyes sweeping over the grand vaulted ceilings, the glowing runic chandeliers, and the fountains of magically purified glowing blue water cascading down the walls.

Having spent the vast majority of his second life living in the rusted, smog-choked tenements of Sector 4, where the only entertainment was watching stray hounds fight over alchemical scrap, the vulgar display of astronomical wealth was genuinely jarring.

Seraphina stepped out of the back seat, her crimson blazer falling flawlessly into place.

She noticed Silas’s lingering gaze on the grand architecture.

A subtle condescending smirk touched her lips as she walked up beside him.

"It is passable for a regional facility," Seraphina commented casually, glancing at the marble arches with mild boredom. "Though frankly, the craftsmanship is rather crude compared to the Grand Spire in Rhyx City. The runic conduits here lack proper harmonic insulation..."

"Nobody cares about your architecture critique, Princess," Harper muttered, tossing her vehicle keys to an immaculately dressed valet who caught them with a deep terrified bow.

Waiting near the private express lift was a small contingent of private facility staff.

A tall man in a tailored silver-trimmed suit stepped forward, bowing deeply from the waist.

"Lady Whitmore and... ah Lady Bloom," the manager greeted them with trembling reverence. "The top-floor Haute Couture Sanctuary has been entirely cleared according to your directives. All external access has been locked down. The master stylists are standing by."

"Lead the way," Harper commanded briskly.

The group stepped into the massive private glass elevator.

The lift ascended silently, shooting past eighty floors of luxury boutiques and glowing displays until it finally chimed to a halt at the absolute apex of the structure.

DING!

The heavy frosted glass doors slid open, revealing a sprawling open-concept paradise of high-end fashion.

The floor was paved with pristine white quartz tiles that reflected the warm golden light of hovering mana-orbs.

Massive racks of tailored combat robes, alchemical silk suits, enchanted evening wear, and high-tier leather gear stretched out across the room, separated by plush velvet seating areas and private dressing chambers.

Reginald stopped exactly one step past the elevator doors.

The elderly butler bowed stiffly, placing his hands neatly behind his back.

"I shall remain stationed at the perimeter entrance, Lady Seraphina," Reginald stated with quiet professionalism. "To ensure your privacy remains absolute."

"Very good, Reginald," Seraphina replied with a curt nod.

Silas, Harper, and Seraphina advanced into the grand showroom.

Immediately, the head stylist... an impeccably groomed man with platinum-blonde hair, wearing an avant-garde asymmetrical coat stepped forward, flanked by a disciplined line of six young maids dressed in matching pristine black-and-white uniforms.

"Welcome, esteemed guests, to the Sanctuary," the head stylist beamed, bowing low. "I am Master Jean. We have curated the finest grade-A enchanted textiles from across the continental guilds. Every piece here is woven with adaptive mythril threads, tier-4 beast silks, and localized thermal runes. We are at your service."

Before Jean could even finish his introduction, Harper lunged forward.

She grabbed Silas’s large calloused hand, boldly and unapologetically entwining her slender fingers through his.

She pulled him toward the central display, her cheeks glowing with a triumphant satisfied smile.

Seraphina watched their joined hands.

A sharp audible TCH echoed from her throat as she aggressively clicked her tongue, her crimson eyes narrowing into slits of pure jealousy.

"We are here to find some proper clothes for this handsome—" Harper began enthusiastically, gesturing toward Silas’s broad frame.

"Hold on," Silas interrupted smoothly.

He didn’t pull his hand away, but he gently halted their momentum.

A dangerous amused smirk slowly spread across his rugged face as he looked between the energetic purple-haired woman and the glaring crimson-haired noblewoman.

’You two dragged me into this nightmare to play games?’ Silas thought, his golden-ringed eyes flashing with sharp wit. ’Let’s see how you handle being on the defensive.’

Silas turned, looking directly into Harper’s violet eyes, and then shifted his gaze to meet Seraphina’s blazing crimson irises.

"I already have plenty of clothes," Silas said, his voice dropping into a low one that showed his seriousness. "And frankly, shopping for myself is boring. What I actually want... is to see the two of you dressed in the most beautiful, stunning outfits this place has to offer."

The entire showroom fell dead silent.

Harper froze.

The words hit the energetic Lightning Lord like a direct strike from her own plasma bolts.

Her breath hitched in her throat, her grip on his fingers loosening as a catastrophic wave of burning heat violently rushed up her neck, painting her entire face, ears, and chest in a brilliant incandescent crimson blush.

"Y-You... what?!" Harper squeaked, her voice cracking as she instinctively let go of his hand, stumbling backward half a step like a flustered schoolgirl.

Beside her, Seraphina’s haughty noble facade completely disintegrated into ash.

The crimson-haired heiress gasped softly, her eyes widening into massive saucers.

Her hands flew up to her chest, clutching her blazer as steam practically whistled from the tips of her pointed ears.

The overwhelming flattery of having the man she desired look at her with such intense interest completely short-circuited her high-society training.

Master Jean, sensing the sudden chaotic shift in romantic atmospheric pressure, clapped his hands together with professional glee.

"A magnificent directive, my Lord!" Jean praised enthusiastically.

He immediately gestured to one of the senior maids standing beside him. "Lydia! Escort Miss Whitmore to the Royal Suite! Pull the celestial-weave evening silks and the enchanted battle-corsets immediately!"

"Right away, Master Jean!" the senior maid chimed, stepping forward and politely gesturing for Harper to follow.

"I—I’ll be right back!" Harper stammered, entirely unable to look Silas in the eye as she frantically allowed the maid to pull her away toward the eastern dressing chambers with her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.

Master Jean turned his attention toward Seraphina, his keen eyes scanning his remaining staff.

He gestured toward a young maid standing near the back of the line... a quiet, deeply timid girl with dark braided hair and oversized round glasses, who was currently trembling slightly under the oppressive noble aura radiating from the Bloom heiress.

"And for Lady Seraphina," Jean suggested smoothly, "our junior stylist, Emily, will assist you in the High Sovereign Pavilion. She specializes in ancestral noble cuts."

Seraphina didn’t wait for the maid to approach.

The crimson-haired noblewoman turned on her expensive heels, marching directly up to the trembling junior maid with terrifying purpose.

The poor maid, terrified of offending the high-ranking noble, immediately lowered her head, stubbornly refusing to meet Seraphina’s piercing crimson gaze as she stared at the floor.

Seraphina didn’t say a polite greeting.

She reached out with her manicured hand and aggressively grabbed the fabric of the maid’s sleeve, pulling the trembling girl closer until they were barely inches apart.

Seraphina’s crimson eyes burned with a terrifying inferno of pure competitive desperation.

"Listen to me very carefully," Seraphina demanded with her voice becoming a low focused hiss that shook with determination. "You are going to use every single piece of high-tier silk, every magical accessory, and every styling technique you know. You are going to make me look like the most breathtaking, undeniably gorgeous woman on this entire planet. Do you understand me?!"

The timid maid flinched, but as she looked up, the blazing unyielding fire in Seraphina’s crimson eyes violently reflected in her own wide lenses.

The timid facade of the junior stylist instantly shattered.

In its place, a sudden explosive surge of pride and artistic adrenaline flooded the maid’s veins.

She was an artisan of high fashion, and she had just been handed a living goddess who wanted to go to war!

"Leave it to me, Lady Seraphina!" the maid declared, her voice suddenly ringing with fierce, unshakable confidence.

The maid grabbed Seraphina’s hand in return, aggressively spinning around and literally pulling the stunned Bloom heiress toward the western dressing chambers at top speed.

"I swear on my license! I will make you so beautiful that his heart will stop the second you walk out!"

...

The VIP Haute Couture Sanctuary was dead silent, save for the soft, ambient chime of floating mana-orbs and the rhythmic scratching of a fountain pen against thick parchment-grade vellum.

Stationed immaculately beside the frosted glass elevator doors, Reginald stood with his spine ruler-straight.

He held a small, leather-bound journal embossed with the silver serpent crest of House Bloom in his left palm, his gloved right hand guiding the gold-nibbed pen with surgical precision.

The elderly butler adjusted his spectacles, his sharp weathered eyes flicking across the expansive showroom to track Silas Graves.

---

My Observations:

- Physical Assessment: He has an imposing frame and remarkably powerful biological foundation. His mana pathways remain stable under high-stress atmospheric pressure and he displays psychological immunity to noble intimidation.

- Interaction with Lady Seraphina: A calm measured tone with no visible submission to her rank. He deflected her marriage proposal without escalating to outright rejection and maintained eye contact throughout.

- Interaction with Miss Whitmore: This one is casual and familiar, he tolerates her physical advances without reciprocating and displays dominance in their dynamic.

- Combat Potential: Requires further assessment...

- Threat Level: Elevated. Caution advised... Lady Etilga’s assassination directive officially suspended pending further observation.

---

The elderly butler adjusted his spectacles, his weathered eyes flicking across the expansive showroom.

Silas had just effortlessly deflected the two powerful noblewomen, and now stood alone in the center of the showroom like a predator surveying his territory.

Reginald made a final note in his journal.

- Verdict: Do not engage.
