The Church of Nature’s Thirteen-Ring Sorcerer, the "Beast Hunter" Mr. Kamora, questioned Iluna while controlling the green giant beast wraiths to counter the undead horde surging from the bottom of the tower. Iluna shook her head:

"Of course not. The church currently only knows that the Chosen One is related to the sword, the Chosen One Ceremony should have other conditions."

As she spoke, she blew the bone whistle hanging from her chest. As a mass of black fog emerged, a skeleton horse appeared from the mist, raising its hooves.

"Mr. Kamora, stay here and deal with this Angel-Level Relic, it cannot let its effects spread into the city. I’ll check the situation at the dock direction, everyone here should stay put. Compared to the three who just left, more manpower is needed here. The God Summoner is highly likely among those three, I have some acquaintance with her."

Iluna instructed, the man holding a small hand crossbow nodded, casually pulling the trigger, crushing the grayish-white flesh of the giant hand surging from the tower base again, understanding what Iluna meant:

Iluna was well aware of this, she went to stop the church’s people, allowing the enigmatic Shard to swiftly handle his business. She then mounted the skeleton horse, lightly flicked the reins, and it swiftly carried her away.

The blood-red fireball did not fall into the Dock Area, but followed a parabolic trajectory over the numerous ships docked at the harbor, finally landing in the water of Moon Bay Harbor. The flames created by the doctor’s "glass bead" would not easily be extinguished by seawater, and when Shard and the crow entered the water, Shard bit his tongue, opened his mouth underwater, and spat crimson mist towards the crow’s head:

"Corrupt Blood Fog!"

The expelled blood mist stained a large area of rain-drenched sea red, the sounds beneath the water could not reach the surface, but soon dense bubbles appeared on the crimson water surface, and Shard, still bound together with the crow man, floated up.

But Shard was not in good shape either, his recent time pause nearly consumed all his spirit, and the crimson poison mist below squeezed out his remaining spiritual pressure. Prolonged contact with the demon caused considerable bodily harm. Fortunately, amidst the rain, a streak of black light descended from the sky.

Dr. Schneider quickly arrived at the water’s surface, his right hand extended toward the crow, black pus dripped from his fingertips, and as he approached the crow, his entire hand transformed into a robust tree-root-like form of flowing black pus.

The crow cawed, unfortunately, Shard couldn’t understand the crow’s voice. Exhausted in body and mind, he finally withdrew the Great Sin Chain, his body tilted backward, face-up as he sank into the water. His body was slowly submerged, completely disappearing, relying on the blessing of the drowned Evil God to heal his injuries.

Meanwhile, on the water’s surface, the pitch-black hand seized the crow, but before the doctor could absorb its power, the crow burst in his palm, scattering the black hand into fragments. This was the first time since Bill Schneider absorbed the "Human Pus" that something could break free.

An invisible Misfortune Curse was applied to the doctor, but the crow felt its curse power absorbed. The doctor chanted softly, forcing it from a mass of raven feathers, and as the black-eyed crow truly gazed at Dr. Schneider —

The crow spoke human words, and in its severely injured state, it frantically attempted to soar, but with a cry of "Ang~," a little unicorn carrying Emilia flew over.

With some restored strength, the elf girl swung her sword again, the slash transformed into at least a 100-foot (about 30m) sword light, knocking the crow back down toward the water.

The doctor tried to approach it, but with a thunderous blast, a bolt of lightning struck the doctor’s head, and another series of consecutive lightning strikes seemed attracted to him, hitting continuously:

"Misfortune, huh?"

The doctor disregarded the lightning, continuing to charge toward the crow on the water, the injured crow struggled to ascend, but before it could choose a new escape direction, another thunderous blast, and a black-haired, blue-eyed girl carrying a cannon blasted it down.

The little unicorn landed on the water, the petite elf hero holding a massive light sword stood in the east; enduring the lightning, the doctor, his hair completely frazzled, stood in the west, deliberately choosing the furthest distance from the sword; Miss Eles, seemingly fully aware of the situation, appeared with her ship’s cannon, standing in the south.

The crow flapped its wings, fleeing toward the northern harbor, but then the thunder blasted, the Sunlight Gun directly struck the crow’s body, wrapping it in jumping sparks and sending it plummeting back to the water.

The skeleton horse landed on the water, its hooves gently touching the surface, causing ripples to spread. Iluna held the reins with one hand, guiding her steed to take a few steps forward to block the north. A sunlight gun appeared in her hand once again, but her eyes glanced toward the unicorn ridden by Emilia.

Seeing so many people around, the doctor refrained from using the demon’s power; that matter should only be known by Shard.

Thus, the raven attempted to fly straight into the rainy sky once more, and at this moment, a figure suddenly appeared above Dr. Schneider’s head.

Fully restored, Shard raised the Yggdrasil’s Staff high in the sky. All the lightning seemed attracted to the pitch-black staff. After the nebula-like vortex appeared, it was cast downward:

"Principle of Return!"

The natural lightning seemed to harm the demon more distinctly than Iluna’s sunlight gun, or perhaps it was indeed at the end of its tether. The several strikes of lightning merged into a heavy bolt, striking down. This time, the raven, which fell back to the water’s surface, did not flee but instead convulsed amidst the flames and electric arcs, slowly sinking beneath the waves.

Shard landed in the midst of the crowd, nodding to the doctor:

"Banish it, Doctor."

Bill Schneider bent down and grabbed the raven, sinking together to the depths of the sea.

The Maze Demon - Yaruu’s power granted Dr. Schneider the temporary ability to construct a parallel space. Thus, it appeared as if he and the demon sank into the water, but in reality, they temporarily left the material world together.

Shard knew what the doctor was doing, but now was not the time to care about that. He briskly walked across the sea towards Iluna, smiling in the rain, and embraced the girl who had jumped down from the horse:

"Welcome to Moon Bay, Iluna."

The eighteen-year-old girl hugged Shard, looking past him at her familiar acquaintance Emilia and the unfamiliar Miss Eles, then was slightly shocked by the latter’s figure.

The black-haired, blue-eyed girl politely nodded to Iluna, and Iluna also felt not very surprised, after all, the maid from Tobesk was even more exaggerated:

"It seems I did help out... You kept this dangerous task secret from the diviner and me. Don’t you need to explain? And the Sword of Light, has it appeared already?"

Iluna asked with a smile, pleased that Shard spoke with her first. Emilia, a bit nervous, also nodded toward her, but in reality, Iluna didn’t care much about that sword.

"Take this."

Shard handed Iluna the black raven feather obtained on Friday:

The elf girl on the unicorn’s back was unaware of what this statement implied, and Iluna nodded to Shard without asking more. She waved goodbye to Emilia and politely nodded to the unfamiliar Miss Eles before riding away toward the northern coastline in the rain.

Shard looked at Miss Eles again, the black-haired, blue-eyed girl smiled at him. She was the only person standing in the rain completely untouched by the raindrops.

The naval gun she used had disappeared, her ocean-deep blue eyes gazing at the drenched Shard.

She removed her wide-brimmed hat:

"Long time no see, Shard."
