Chapter 217: Chapter 217: Enter

"Haha, this little electric scooter is really fast! I feel like I just blinked a few times, and we’re already here. If we had walked on our own two legs, it would have taken at least another full two hours!" Ling Yunge said, looking up at the sky.

Hua Buwan gently took off her helmet. With a faint smile on her face, she said softly, "We’ve finally arrived at the town! Everyone, hurry up and take off your helmets. We need to store these electric scooters properly, and then we’ll have to walk into town on foot."

As soon as she finished speaking, Ling Qianjun nodded eagerly in agreement. "Yes, exactly! We absolutely cannot let anyone else see them!"

Working in swift, unspoken harmony, the group got off the scooters. Moving in unison, they took off their helmets and handed them to Hua Buwan one by one.

Next, Xu Panqing, Ling Yunge, and Ling Qianfan stood quietly where they were, patiently waiting for Hua Buwan and Ling Qianjun to work their magic. They watched as the pair opened the Any Door that connected to another dimension to safely store the electric scooters back in the supermarket.

Earlier, to free up space on the scooters for everyone to ride comfortably, Hua Buwan had temporarily stored the goods they planned to sell in town inside the supermarket. Now that they were returning the scooters, they also needed to retrieve their merchandise.

Fortunately, with the Any Door right beside them, it required barely any effort at all. Once the goods were retrieved, they strapped them onto their backs and quickly set off toward the town.

After slowly making their way down the hillside, they finally returned to the broad main road. By now, the sun hung high in the sky, radiating a scorching, dazzling light as if trying to roast the earth beneath it.

In the distance, a bustling crowd gathered at the town’s main gate. A long line of people waited for their turn to enter. Before setting out, they had already inquired about the local rules: to enter the town, every person was required to pay a toll of one copper coin, with no exceptions even for young children. Leaving the town, however, was free of charge.

When it came to this small sum, Hua Buwan was extremely generous. After all, Ling Qianjun had given her some copper coins earlier, and she still hadn’t spent them all. Although these copper coins were technically thousand-year-old "antiques," flooding her market with too many at once might cause their value to drop. Therefore, Hua Buwan didn’t hesitate to use some of them to pay for everyone’s entrance toll. She knew very well that as long as she kept working hard, she would definitely earn many more copper coins in the future.

However, the Ling family felt rather embarrassed. Over the past few days, they had been freely spending Hua Buwan’s money and using the various supplies she provided, leaving them feeling incredibly guilty.

Thus, every member of the Ling family silently made a resolution. In the future, they would work desperately hard to earn money so they could repay Hua Buwan double or even more. Moreover, they would do everything in their power to help Hua Buwan find the item she had been dreaming of, as a way to express their profound gratitude for her generous help.

Unaware of their inner thoughts, Hua Buwan readied the copper coins and waited for their turn to enter the town.

It wasn’t long before they reached the front of the line. After handing the copper coins over to the government officer at the gate, they smoothly made their way inside.

Instantly, the quiet scenery outside the town vanished, replaced by the bustling sights of the interior as a cacophony of lively voices washed over them.
