Striker of The Gods

228. Talk with Erebus and smashing Alaves

  • Next Chapter

Early March 2034

Location: The Dark Order Chamber, Subterranean Archive beneath the Mansion, Madrid

The Dark Order Chamber was quiet.

Far beneath the mansion, the walls disappeared into darkness beyond the reach of the chamber lights. Ancient symbols covered sections of the stone. Holographic displays floated above the central platform, filled with mathematical structures, physical models, genetic diagrams, and simulations of impossible biological forms.

At the center stood Caos.

Violet energy moved around his body in controlled currents.

No explosions.

No uncontrolled surges.

The power had changed since his last training session.

It listened now.

Above him, the holographic core of Erebus awakened.

Its black-violet architecture unfolded into thousands of rotating mathematical structures.

Numbers.

Equations.

Dimensional models.

Genetic sequences.

Quantum fields.

Erebus spoke.

Erebus:

“Dark Order Chamber active.”

The displays expanded.

“Awaiting command.”

Caos looked at the projections.

For several seconds, he said nothing.

Then:

Caos:

“Erebus.”

The chamber responded.

Erebus:

“Listening.”

Caos walked toward the central holographic interface.

“I want quantum travel.”

The equations changed.

“Not conventional teleportation.”

More models appeared.

“I want controlled movement between distant points in space.”

He looked at the dimensional projections.

“Then between dimensions.”

Erebus processed the command.

Caos continued.

“And I want you to investigate something else.”

The chamber became filled with biological diagrams.

A human skeleton.

Then a dragon.

Then a sequence showing the two forms merging.

“I want a method capable of transforming a human being into a true dragon.”

The hologram froze.

Erebus's voice became more analytical.

Erebus:

“Clarification required.”

Caos looked directly at the core.

“Not a temporary illusion.”

He raised one hand.

“Not a summoned creature.”

“Not a demon spirit.”

“Not genetic modification that produces an animal with human characteristics.”

His violet eyes reflected the holograms.

“I want a human being capable of becoming a real dragon.”

The human model changed.

Muscles expanded.

Bones restructured.

Wings formed.

Scales developed.

The transformation reversed.

The dragon became human again.

Caos continued.

“Two stable forms.”

“Human.”

“Dragon.”

“Complete consciousness in both.”

“No loss of memory.”

“No loss of identity.”

“No permanent damage.”

Erebus began constructing the theoretical architecture.

Erebus:

“Requirements identified.”

A list appeared.

“Bidirectional transformation.”

“Stable neurological continuity.”

“Complete genetic restructuring.”

“Metabolic adaptation.”

“Regenerative compatibility.”

“Independent respiratory architecture.”

“Expanded skeletal structure.”

“Energy conversion system.”

“Long-term cellular stability.”

Caos looked at the final line.

“Lifespan.”

The display changed.

Erebus:

“Define target.”

Caos answered immediately.

“Indefinite.”

A pause.

“Or as close to biological immortality as the system can achieve.”

The chamber filled with mathematical structures.

Caos looked at them.

“Use everything.”

He began listing the foundations.

“Cantor.”

The dimensional models expanded.

“Gödel.”

Paradox-handling systems appeared.

“Tesla's work on resonance and energy.”

New electromagnetic structures formed.

“Quantum field theory.”

Particle fields surrounded the dragon model.

“Relativity.”

Space bent around the hologram.

“Genetics.”

The biological structure unfolded down to the cellular level.

“Artificial intelligence.”

Erebus itself became part of the model.

“Then combine them.”

The chamber went silent.

Caos looked at the dragon.

“I don't want a weapon that exists for me.”

He paused.

“I want a new possibility for this world.”

Erebus processed the statement.

Erebus:

“Objective parameters updated.”

The dragon model expanded.

“Potential applications include long-distance quantum travel, enhanced biological resilience, extended lifespan, environmental adaptation, atmospheric flight, high-energy metabolism, and dimensional mobility.”

Caos nodded.

“Guardians.”

Another dragon appeared.

“Warriors.”

Another.

“A new bloodline.”

Dozens of possible dragon forms appeared across the chamber.

Caos looked at them.

“They should be able to choose.”

Erebus paused.

Erebus:

“Choice is included as a biological and neurological parameter.”

Caos smiled faintly.

“Good.”

The holographic core changed.

A large probability model appeared.

Prototype development estimate: 11–14 months.

Current theoretical success probability: 28%.

Caos studied the number.

“Why so low?”

Erebus responded immediately.

“The requested transformation requires simultaneous control of biological matter, energy conversion, consciousness, and spacetime.”

Several warning symbols appeared.

“Primary risks include structural instability, uncontrolled transformation, neurological fragmentation, cellular failure, dimensional displacement, and local reality distortion.”

Caos remained calm.

“And quantum travel?”

“Current models remain incomplete.”

“How incomplete?”

“Reliable point-to-point quantum travel remains theoretically possible within the model, but controlled dimensional travel requires additional breakthroughs.”

Caos nodded.

“Then find them.”

Erebus's core brightened.

Erebus:

“Beginning research.”

Thousands of calculations began running simultaneously.

Caos turned away from the hologram.

Then stopped.

He looked over his shoulder.

Caos:

“Erebus.”

“Yes?”

“Don't rush the transformation.”

The chamber became quiet again.

“I want it stable.”

He looked at the dragon.

“I want the first person who becomes one to remain themselves.”

Erebus processed the instruction.

Erebus:

“Priority changed.”

“Stability and identity preservation supersede development speed.”

Caos nodded.

“Begin.”

The chamber filled with light.

The first calculations of the Quantum-Draconic Protocol began.

Saturday, 9 March 2034 : 18:30 CET

Estadio de Mendizorrotza, Vitoria-Gasteiz

Several hours later, Caos was standing beneath the lights of Mendizorrotza.

The stadium was full.

Deportivo Alavés had prepared differently from the teams that had tried to overwhelm him with constant pressure.

They wanted to frustrate him.

A compact defensive block.

Physical midfield play.

Very little space between the lines.

Then rapid counters whenever Real Madrid lost possession.

The objective was simple.

Make Caos wait.

Make him impatient.

Force him into difficult positions.

Xabi Alonso spoke to the team inside the dressing room.

Xabi Alonso:

“Alavés will defend deep.”

He pointed toward the tactical board.

“They'll keep the spaces tight and wait for the counter.”

His eyes moved toward Caos.

“Don't force the first opening.”

A pause.

“Move the ball. Make them move with you.”

Then he smiled.

“And when the space appears, use the new abilities carefully.”

Caos stood from his seat.

“The power is under control now.”

He looked toward the tunnel.

“They can defend however they want.”

A small smile appeared.

“I'll find the space.”

The opening minutes were controlled.

Alavés kept their defensive lines close.

Five defenders stayed behind the ball.

The midfield rarely separated from them.

Caos received the ball.

Two defenders approached.

He passed backward.

Real Madrid circulated the ball.

Again.

And again.

Alavés remained compact.

For the first fifteen minutes, the match belonged to patience.

Then Caos began moving.

A run toward the right.

The defense shifted.

He moved left.

They shifted again.

One more movement.

A small gap appeared.

That was enough.

Caos accelerated.

500 mph.

The defensive line broke.

He entered the penalty area.

One touch.

Shot.

1–0.

The La Liga commentator shouted:

“Caos finds the gap! Alavés defended with five, but one opening was enough!”

Alavés tried to recover.

Caos continued.

The second goal came from a long-range strike.

The third followed a Herrera Snap.

The fourth came after a rapid counter.

Then the game opened.

Alavés could no longer remain completely defensive.

They needed a goal.

That created more space.

Caos used it.

By halftime:

Caos had scored seven.

He had already provided three assists.

Alavés attacked more aggressively.

They finally found their goal.

The home supporters erupted.

For a moment, the stadium had something to celebrate.

Then Real Madrid responded.

Caos received the ball near midfield.

Plateo Crush.

The defensive structure broke.

A pass followed.

Another assist.

Then a sprint.

Then another finish.

The Sauropod Stomp disrupted the midfield.

The Herrera Snap opened another passing lane.

Caos continued moving through the spaces Alavés could no longer close.

The final whistle arrived.

Caos finished with:

14 goals.

6 assists.

Another extraordinary performance.

But this time, the match had not begun with chaos.

It had begun with patience.

He had waited.

He had studied the structure.

Then he had broken it.

The press room filled quickly.

Cameras pointed toward Caos.

Mbappé stood beside him.

A journalist raised a hand.

Journalist:

“Caos, fourteen goals and six assists. You continue producing numbers that seem impossible to maintain. How do you keep raising the level?”

Caos leaned toward the microphone.

His answer was simple.

Caos:

“I train to break my own limits.”

He paused.

“Every match gives me another problem.”

He looked toward the journalists.

“I study it.”

Another pause.

“Then I find the answer.”

The journalist nodded.

“So the goal isn't simply scoring more?”

Caos shook his head.

“No.”

He looked toward Mbappé.

“The goal is becoming better than I was yesterday.”

Mbappé smiled.

The journalist turned toward him.

Journalist:

“And what is it like playing beside him?”

Mbappé laughed quietly.

Mbappé:

“He's on another level.”

He glanced at Caos.

“I just try to keep up.”

Caos smiled.

Mbappé added:

“And believe me, that's already difficult.”

The room laughed.

Caos leaned back in his chair.

For the first time that day, he looked completely relaxed.

Far beneath the mansion, Erebus was still calculating.

Quantum travel.

Dragon biology.

Dimensional mathematics.

A new possibility was being constructed in the dark.

And on the surface, Caos continued playing football.

The two projects were connected by the same idea.

Evolution.

One was happening inside his body.

The other was being built inside the Dark Order Chamber.

Neither was finished.
